Hi. I noticed you had created this article twice - once as the above title, and once as 2008 36th Annual Keith Fleck Memorial 100. I'm assuming (hopefully correctly), that "Miller" is the correct version, and I've requested that the "Memorial" page be deleted. Please drop me a message if I've got this the wrong way round :-) CultureDrone (talk) 07:29, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

January 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Matt noyce, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. kelapstick (talk) 23:59, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on 2007 9th Annual Appleton Memorial/Echo Power Blower 100, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. CardinalDan (talk) 16:22, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from 2007 9th Annual Appleton Memorial/Echo Power Blower 100, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. kelapstick (talk) 18:17, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note, I had re-added the tag, however after some looking into it I removed it as it did not fit the criteria for which it was requested (patent nonsense). In the future do not remove the tag yourself, but add {{hangon}} below the tag with an explanation as to why it should not be deleted. (In this case it could have been, "This article is not patent nonsense but an article about a stock car race). If you have any questions please feel free to ask me directly.--kelapstick (talk) 18:25, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image permission problem with Image:09SERIES madisonShearLogo 01.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:09SERIES madisonShearLogo 01.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Geoff Plourde (talk) 05:14, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:09SERIES illianaLogo 01.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:09SERIES illianaLogo 01.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have an email from both myself, and Scott Lofquist (the copyright holder, who gave me permission to post the work, as well as provided it for me) in to permissions-en@wikipedia.org. A guy by the name of Joe Daley is handling it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justingrosser (talkcontribs) 22:59, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you don't need to do anything else with this. But thanks for dropping by. Stifle (talk) 08:28, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Hawkeye1.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Hawkeye1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:21, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article 2007 Jefferson 100 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Minor race in a very low division series with no claim of notabilty, Wikipedia is not a sports report.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
