Hi BloxyColaSweet Please ask this question at Wikipedia:WikiProject Plants - all the plant article experts will be there. Thank you JW 1961 Talk 08:33, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wales. Thank you for reviewing my created article. You've added {{one source}} tag in it. Will the article be deleted? But I think it meets with WP:NSPORT guideline. Because the point no. 2 of WP:NFOOTY says, "Players who have played, and managers who have managed, in a competitive game between two teams from fully professional leagues will generally be regarded as notable. See a list of fully professional leagues kept by WikiProject Football." The player plays for Cypriot First Division club AEK Larnaca. And Cypriot First Division league is a fully professional league as per as WikiProject Football.[1] So I think he is notable. Thank you. Richard M William (talk) 14:17, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Richard M William, Thank you for creating the article - No it won't be deleted as he does indeed pass NFOOTBALL - the one source tag is used on page review for Biographies of living persons so that more sources would be added, we would like to see at least 2 sources on these articles (maybe he has a profile on Soccerway or Soccerbase?) that tag can be removed by any editor, including yourself, once it has a second source. Best wishes JW 1961 Talk 14:25, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Now it has 2 sources. So I've removed the tag. Thank you. Richard M William (talk) 14:30, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Fornovo[edit]

Hello, I would like to point out that the page battle of Fornovo has been recently hijacked by a user, “Kansas Bear”, who rewrote it with a very clear bias. While most sources (including several he himself cited in the discussion held in the talk page) describe the outcome of the battle as either inconclusive, disputed, or at best a hard-fought French tactical victory which allowed Charles to save his army from encirclement and destruction, this user has presented it as a “French triumph”, with Italian troops being scattered and destroyed in a few minutes (whereas all sources state that the fighting lasted all day), omitting the fact that the entire loot and baggage train of the French army were captured by the Italian league and that Charles quietly withdrew at night during a truce that had been called to bury the dead, hardly the behaviour of someone who had “triumphed”. Additionally, this user has cherry-picked a single source claiming a ridiculously low casualty figure for the French (only 100 killed vs 3,500 on the Italian side) when all sources agree that, while French casualties were lower than those suffered by the Italians, were no less than one thousand in the most optimistic estimate (likewise, the high end estimates have been picked for the Italian stength, which ranged betwen 14,000 and 20,000 but is here presented as 20,000). This user has either ignored or removed all sources that don’t fit his narrative (that is, most), reverted all edits adding more sources and details, and refused, in the past, any discussion about the edit he has done. Can anything be done about it? Could you help in any way? Before you tell me to try to discuss with him or to report him for edit war (which describes his activity extremely well), I will tell you that I won’t, for a very simple reason: the former would be pointless – others have already tried discussing with him on the talk page, to no avail – and the latter as well, as I know well this kind of user, who has been disgracefully made into an admin for unexplainable reasons. He will keep reverting, secure the support of some other admin friend, game the rules to his own advantage, and avoid any discussion or change from his edits, instead having me banned. I know very well this will happen, and in that case, that will be the end of my activity here, for I am tired of seeing an individual being allowed to blatantly violate Wikipedia’s rules and make a travesty of history at his whim. --Jannizzero1 (talk) 22:54, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jannizzero1, I believe as a new page reviewer that I have reviewed a few nice article you created about Italian generals and thank you for your contributions, however, I am not an admin (and neither is the user you are in dispute with). I could only suggest that you not despair and try to go through the correct processes because we don't want to see a valuable creator like you lose faith in wikipedia or get into any kind of trouble - there is a place at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution requests where you could bring this problem and at least somebody there could give you the proper advice, also maybe look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history, there are many very experienced admins and users on that project who could give an opinion. I hope that will help you in some way. With best wishes JW 1961 Talk 23:23, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:2022 Australian Open indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Hi Joseywales1961,

Thank you for guiding me regarding the page I created (Dele Adeleke) I have tried to make the necessary amendments and I will like to seek your support to further make it the Wikipedia standard as you have suggested.

Many thanks for your help.

Hello[edit]

Hello, please modify the article Reza Taghavi and link it to the wiki item. Thanks Payande iran (talk) 07:43, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Payande iran, I added a short description, a talk page and a wikidata item but as I don't speak Persian I will have to leave the review to another reviewer who can (I cannot find anything about him on the usual reliable football sites in English but that is probably because it is a good while since he was a player). References[edit]

Saw you moved my article to draft, which is fine. Also, hope you are doing great.

I appreciate you![edit]

Hi, Joseywales1961, I just want to let you know that I appreciate you! You are one of the people who catches creations of plant redirects and reviews them, sometimes right away. These are the things that are so important behind the scenes of Wikipedia. Thank you and keep up the great work! Eewilson (talk) 16:12, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Eewilson, don't tell anyone but sometimes it gets boring in work and I flick on the new pages feed ;) - Have a great Christmas or Holiday if you celebrate this time of the year! JW 1961 Talk 16:17, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I will tell nobody! Your secret is safe with me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well. Is it festive in Ireland? I have no idea. I picture it as old-style with live mistletoe and real puddings and dinner like in A Christmas Carol (1984 film)! In the U.S., it's mostly about shopping, which I no longer really partake in. :) Eewilson (talk) 16:21, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Eewilson It used to be like that (many moons ago in my youth) now it's more about shopping and commercialism here too and I leave all of that to my wife who is well able to spend (sometimes quicker than I can earn it LOL) JW 1961 Talk 16:27, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
LOL! I may tell HER you said that, though! :) Eewilson (talk) 16:32, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion notice for Chiveve[edit]

Greetings, just saw that you placed a SD notice for the Chiveve disambiguation page I created not too long ago! Would it be fine if I repurpose the page as a redirect for the city of Beira (as an alternative/previous name) instead? The only reason I felt concerned enough to use a disambiguation page at the time was because since it was named for the river that has an article about it in the Portuguese version of Wikipedia, I thought an entry linking to there would be feasible. If not then I can go ahead and change it to a redirect or delete the article altogether. Cheers! Tinh1000000 (talk) 09:04, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tinh1000000, Yes a redirect should work here - just note for future if you are making disambiguation pages that there should be at least two existing English Wikipedia articles (as I'm a New Page Reviewer and not an admin the page may have already been deleted by an admin but you could re-create it as a redirect) Thanks for your contributions JW 1961 Talk 09:36, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Right, thank you very much for helping out and appreciate your time to clarify! Cheers Tinh1000000 (talk) 10:10, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
