Hey Jivesh, I'm curious about something... I'm currently fixing the issues on the GA review of "Overprotected", and the reviewer is claiming that Amazon is unreliable. Is this true? - Saulo Talk to Me 16:37, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

I agree. The reviewer believe that "release dates and other such information on Amazon is frequently wrong." And I said "There is no proof that 'release dates and other such information on Amazon is frequently wrong', since a single/album is released in several formats on different dates. These dates are provided by the labels. Plus, the album wasn't sold through iTunes since it had a minor release. Hello, and welcome to the 2012 WikiCup! The competition officially begins at the start of 2012 (UTC) after which time you may begin to claim points. I just heard a sick remix of "Best Thing I Never Had" at the shopping center. (I-I-I-I wanted you bad-bad-bad... lol.) Almost as good as the "Pumped Up Kicks" dubstep remix. This year will be off to a good start. Our FM radio was counting down 2011 hits, and no surprise "Rolling in the Deep" was number one. Once again, I was just saying what I felt about something, but it has been taken as an offence and personal criticism. I have read the article carefully, and I have very few comments to make. This sphere of music is not my area of expertise, and there are a few techical terms I didn't know which may well be perfectly straightforward to anyone consulting the article in the ordinary way of things. However, if at peer review others find the terms need explanation they will no doubt tell you soon enough. You have, in any case, been thorough in your provision of blue-links. (Some might say too thorough, as in, for example, linking "romantic drama film" as you have done, but again, this will come up at peer review when more expert eyes than mine view the article.)
The article does not in my view require any significant copy-editing. The proportions of the article seem good to me, and the prose is clear and readable. My only query on that front concerns what you call the singer's "duelling nature". I am unsure if you mean "dual nature" or "conflicting nature", but "duelling" looks very odd.

Halo (Beyoncé Knowles song)

I have just taken a preliminary look. There seems to be a copyedit in progress; it would not be a good idea for me to start work until this is finished, so I'll wait a day or two. One point, though. As far as I know, the singer is known professionally as "Beyoncé" (I didn't even know her second name was Knowles until I read your article). Yet throughout you refer to her as "Knowles"; why is this? Other single-name singers such as Adele are referred to in relevant articles by their professional name. Halo copyedit

I have begun the copyedit, and will do it in stages. The "Release" section, however, is at present somewhat muddled; can you help by explaining the following:-

  • What do you mean when you say: "Halo" was taken from a different disc of I Am... Sasha Fierce to "Diva"?
  • Does that mean that two separate, different versions of I Am... Sasha Fierce were issued? Or does it mean something else? Brianboulton (talk) 17:12, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
  • In the second paragraph you mention an EP release on 14 April 2009, then you jump back to February 2009 for the download, forward again to 14 April for a further EP release, then back to March and so on, ending uo at 13 April. This is very confusing to the reader; you need to rearrange this material in a more logical order.

  • I don't know whose rule that is, but adopting a logical chronology would hardly affect this aspect. For example:-:

I don't think a 4 para lead is needed. I don't see the need to talk about the change of lyrics for just two performances here. There is WP:CITEKILL twice in the composition section. "It spent almost a year on the UK Singles Chart, was at number 60 on July 9, 2010, forty-three weeks after its debut, and left the chart the following week." makes no sense. When you nominate, I will comment there. I don't want to make c/e's now because I don't think it is fair of me to help c/e then perhaps support it, as it is kind of self done. Well, maybe I had good intentions, but maybe I was just annoyed and frustrated by seeing a pattern of repeated negativity and lack of focused proactiveness. But I probably shouldn't have gotten involved since it really didn't have anything to do with me. I think my advice was good advice, but maybe I was out of place to say it in the way I did. But I'm not going to try to influence anyone on here anymore. Each one of us has to choose our own way. I admire you for your enthusiasm and continued positivity that gets the whole world behind you, gets all the big names doing copy-edits for you and rooting for you at FAC. I'm reading the article now. Can't believe My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was so well-received. 94 out of 100?!!??!?!?!?!?1?!? I mean why? I've never listened to Kanye West. I know just "All of the Lights" and every song from Watch the Throne and I think the music and the instruments are very good. But he ruins it with his rap. I agree that Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" should have been nominated for Song of the Year. What is TEOG? Couldn't agree with you anymore. And maybe "Till The World Ends" should have been nominated for its critical success, but I just hate everything Britney makes. It's true that Grammy Awards are becoming commercial. And another fact that is really, really true is that rock music is dying.
