Mountain High[edit]

Thanks for your contribution to Mountain High. However, I noticed that you duplicated information from the other sections and therefore I removed some of it. If you have more information to contribute, please read the entire article before making your changes so that the article is readable and not confusing or redundant to the reader. Thanks for catching the additional vandalism that I missed. Cheers. --EarthPerson 22:37, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Regarding your recently created article[edit]

Oh, that wasn't me who created that article. It was a user named Kingseason. I left a message on the user's talk page about the mistakenly created article, and I was going to help in creating it properly. Leebo86 18:20, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem. Regarding the mistakenly created article, I know you tagged it, but do you think it would be appropriate for me to move it to the creator's intended title, Robert Ira Lewy, in the meantime before the notability discussion? Leebo86 18:28, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I moved the article, and removed the title-related tag for now. I'll try to sort out the mess that was caused by the user's program (which is where the odd title came from) and determine if the subject is actually notable. Leebo86 18:35, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

livesimply[edit]

Hi please can you read the article and explain where you find any issue, thanks James

hi thanks for the speedy response

There are certain guidelines regarding what should and shouldn't be included. In order for an article to be created about a web site, it needs to meet at least one of these criteria: it has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself, the website or content has won a notable independent award, or the content is distributed via a medium which is both well known and independent of the creators, either through an online newspaper or magazine, an online publisher, or an online broadcaster. It is all outlined here: WP:WEB. Your website, livesimply, does not meet any of these criteria. - Jhinman 17:53, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

information about our site is avaialable widely on the internet see yahoo answers for instance

information of our site is discussed on various forums such as gumtree.com

and there is definately significant media interest in our site.

it is of very significant interest to uk nationals who are involved in the property market --User:Name Changed 17:59, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At this point, you should take this up with the admin who deleted the page, NawlinWiki. - Jhinman 18:05, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:82.35.129.230[edit]

User:82.35.129.230's edits were direclty related to the users, and the IP address has made no edits since then, or any related to anything else. Ergo, my conclusion. I might not have direct evidence, but circumstantial seems to influence nonsense editors like this guy, when they are in fact guilty. - CobaltBlueTony 01:54, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Besides cable modems rarely (if at all) duplicate IPs when they reset, if another Wikipedia interested person would coincidentally come from the same pool and edit in the same time frame. More likely, the user's login failed and he found himself editing without his account logged in. - CobaltBlueTony 01:57, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • You're probably right that "the user" was editing from that IP at that time. However, he probably doesn't own that IP, and in a few days he might switch to a new one. Then another user would be associated with the user account by their IP. That's why I don't think the IP user page should be redirected. Jhinman 07:16, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In these cases I usually go with {{db-blanked}}, i.e. "Author has blanked the page, and we'll take that to mean s/he wants it deleted". {{db-author}} ("Author requests deletion") doesn't seem quite right when the author hasn't explicitly done so. It's just a little clearer, IMO. Fan-1967 23:35, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good call. I'll keep that in mind. Jhinman 00:09, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Misunderstanding[edit]

I think you misunderstood my attempt to create a page named Fuck Jay-Z - I was merely trying to make a page with this name that redirected to the Nas song Ether as this has been used as an alternative name for the song. In fact I am a fan of both Nas and Jay-Z.Thesean43 18:44, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Google seems to agree with you on this point, so I removed the speedy tag. Sorry about that. Jhinman 18:48, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

High Definition Websites[edit]

High Definition Websites are not anywhere yet, but they are about to start, "High Definition Websites". We will discuss it tomorrow. Althrough you are right, but I may try to improve it soon. :) Live STSS 10:21, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion[edit]

You put a speedy template on this article, claiming 'no content'. Even if this was debatable under the speedy guidelines, I nevertheless added some more content to this article and wikified the text. If you agree, you can remove the speedy template or move the debate to Afd. JoJan 15:24, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, congrats on creating your first page! Looks pretty good. I just recently created my first page too, not that that matters, hehe. Anyways, congratulations :)

deletion templates[edit]

Sorry, I thought all templates had to be substed.--U.S.A.U.S.A.U.S.A. 18:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some do, some don't. The reason you shouldn't substitute the db templates is that if you do, the page won't get added to the proper category where an admin will see it. Jhinman 18:27, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An exciting opportunity to get involved![edit]

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 00:52, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
