File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Agbanidarego.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Fastily (talk) 17:38, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to your question at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions[edit]

Could you please explain what copyright tag means? What exactly should I do to ensure the photos are not deleted? Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jemmabond (talkcontribs) 17:40, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry that nobody has replied to your question until now. A "copyright tag" is a template used to show what right Wikipedia has to use media. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Most media must be licensed under a free license (see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#For image creators for content you create yourself or Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Free licenses for free content created by someone else) or be in the public domain (see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Public domain for a list). Non-free content tags are listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free; the use of non-free content is highly restricted on Wikipedia. —teb728 t c 23:52, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Wumniakinni.jpg}[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Wumniakinni.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Additionally, if you continue uploading bad images, you may be blocked from uploading. STBotI (talk) 12:27, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jemma,

Joe McKinney here. I hope this finds you well, and I'd like to thank you again for the Wiki page that you started.

I have a few issues about what might be perceived as negative press.

Would it be possible to -

1)Remove one link regarding an interview, as it is repeated, and 2)Explain the reason for that interview -

I was busy, at lunchtime, in work, and I said about nine words, to an inevitable question and I answered – I don't want to talk about that ad now – or words to that effect. The photographer knocked off a few sneaky shots, and there you have it, in the bag

The reason I am explaining this is – a paper refuses no ink, and no matter what is said, journalists may have their own agenda, and some tabloids couldn't give a damn about the effect it might have, both personally and professionally.

So, fair enough if you don't remove it, but at least I feel you might understand what the perception and the reality are. ( and why there's not a lot of press articles about me, because... no matter what I do, in this small island, I'll only be known for one thing.) So, rant / explanation / re-empowerment over. Have a good one.

Thanks for your time. Love'n'Light'n'Rock'n'Roll Joe X The Sal77 (talk) 12:35, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Checking. For future reference, autoblocks like this have a special unblock template which is provided in your block message. This template provides additional information which help us review the block. Hersfold (t/a/c) 15:55, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The IP address you were blocked on doesn't appear to be blocked any more - in any event, I was about to clear the autoblock, as it doesn't appear you're the user this block was intended for. Should you get autoblocked like this again, please request unblocking using the template I mentioned, and add a note below the template asking for "IP Block Exemption". The range you were blocked on seems to be heavily used by this user, and it's likely you'll get caught up in their blocks again. Hersfold (t/a/c) 16:23, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Jemmabond! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

London Wikimedia Fundraiser[edit]

Good evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised £5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.

Hope we'll see you there, (and apologies for the talk page spam) - Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 23:11, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Hi Jemma!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! The article Rhihole Gbinigie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

1. unsourced BLP 2. notability challenged and never addressed 3. does not add anything from MBGN article

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thank you for the reply. I am still writing the article; it should be ready by the end of the day Jemmabond (talk) 11:54, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Water & Garri (film) moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Water & Garri (film). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it has too many problems of language or grammar. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ratnahastin (talk) 09:18, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Out of interest, could you please point out these language/grammar issues? Jemmabond (talk) 16:07, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
