Nomination of List of suicides for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of suicides is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of suicides (3rd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 11:32, 3 August 2023 (UTC)

Notice

The article Jeki Airstrip has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no credible claim of significance and no significant coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Concern regarding Draft:El Platino

Information icon Hello, AntonioMartin. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:El Platino, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it again or request that it be moved to your userspace.

If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted so you can continue working on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 12:03, 11 September 2023 (UTC)

The page Aadam Hamed has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Deletion discussion about Mavis Discount Tire

Hello, AntonioMartin, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Shushugah, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Mavis Discount Tire, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mavis Discount Tire.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Shushugah}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

A tag has been placed on Category:Puerto Rican businesswomen indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

Draftifying an article more than once

Hello, I noticed that you moved Aadam Hamed to draft space today. I've reverted this move, as this is the third time you've draftified the article (1, 2, 3). Per WP:DRAFTOBJECT, you should not move an article to draft space more than once. If you do not believe the page is notable then please nominate it for deletion at WP:AFD instead of move-warring. ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:20, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello, JeanetteMartin,

Main space articles should only be moved to Draft space if they are recently created and they should only be draftified once. You've moved this article three times so please do not do so again. Find another solution to what you perceive as problems either by improving the article yourself, tagging it to indicate problems or using one of Wikipedia's deletion processes. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:45, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Johnny Jarrett

There is an error at Johnny Jarrett because the {{death date and age}} that you added is broken. The correct syntax requires the date of death followed by the date of birth. A working example is:

  • {{death date and age|15 June 2020|13 June 1936}} → June 15, 2020(2020-06-15) (aged 84)

I would have fixed that but important information such as a death date must be accompanied with a reliable source. Google found sheppnews but it gives the death as 15 April 2020. Please work out if you had a better source and add it with the fixed syntax, or add sheppnews with its date. Johnuniq (talk) 07:14, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Citations used in Deaths in 2024 and all archived months/years

Hi. Due to the sheer coding weight involved in the use of full source citations, it was agreed many years ago by proper consensus that all pages of a similar nature to Deaths in 2024, including previous month and year archiving, would contain only the simple cite format for each entry, thus potentially making page loading times quicker for the casual visitor. Therefore your recent edit was reversed by one of our editors. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 09:43, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
