I'd recommend you check a bit more before you revert changes and warn people, as you've made at least one error in your recent spree. Also, check that your warnings are correctly placed after. Thanks, Verbal chat 09:07, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, will do. :) User:ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds (talk) 09:09, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

adoption?

  • I've been on Wikipedia for over 2 years. I can sorta hang out and answer questions, if you like. Extremely informal adoption process. No program or plan. Ling.Nut (talkWP:3IAR) 10:33, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I appreciate it. I have a quick question. I'm pretty concerned about all the vandalism that happens here (I've been watching wikipedia since 2005 but just registered this year). I tried to install and run Twinkle but it says that I haven't been here long enough. Just how long do you have to be here to use Twinkle? Thanks much. --User:ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds (talk) 22:08, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Nevermind. It seems that I was trying to use Twinkle on Internet Explorer and it doesn't work. I've since switched to Firefox.--ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds (talk) 23:09, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

File:WCHS Map.jpg

Hi, ThoseStars. I noticed you recently reverted an edit by User:ASDFGH to the file description page for File:WCHS Map.jpg. I'm not sure I understand why. It seems that ASDFGH was adding information about the source of the image, which is a good thing. Is there something I'm missing? —Bkell (talk) 03:05, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

It came up on Lupin as "ASDFGH" and I reverted it before checking it out. I had intended to go back and fix it, but I got sidetracked. Thanks for pointing it out and I apologize for the error.--ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 05:49, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Introduction

They can do that, as long long as it isn't profanity. I've done that too, I even got Don't bite the noobs warnings before. (literaly, it says that)--Abce2|Howdy! 23:52, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh, okay. I wasn't aware that they were allowed to do that. I appreciate the friendly notice. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 23:54, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

And that.This. --> [[1]] --Abce2|Howdy! 00:29, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

And what? If they can blank the sandbox why does the header tell them not to remove it? --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 00:30, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

I thought that too until User:zzuuzz told me this.[[2]]

Hmm. Odd. Ah well. I suppose that makes sense. People who are new to Wikipedia should feel that they can have a place to edit without getting yelled at by someone for doing something "wrong." I appreciate the notice. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 00:39, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Prabodh Kumar

Hello I am User:Me morning moonlight and I have been recently registered to wikipedia. You left a message for me saying that the page Prabodh Kumar, i have contributed to, will be deleted soon as we shouldn't add pages for people who don't have that importance so I just wanted to say that we have an article about Baby Halder here on wikipedia so when it comes to her, then his name his always included in the story so i guess there should be an article related to him and then the article doesn't have much except a few important things about him so i gueess it shouldn't be deleted.

The main problem with the article is that it doesn't explain Mr. Kumar's significance other than "his generous attitude". I'm not entirely opposed to having the article on Wikipedia, but you have to explain (with the article) why he is a notable person. Remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 07:17, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for you great NPPing. However, please remeber that CSD-G1 only applies to pages which are complete gibberish, which Taylor jakebson wasn't (although it did meet CSD). Thanks again - Kingpin13 (talk) 07:24, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Thank you. Will do. :-) Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 07:26, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
No problem, I used to overuse that critera too. So don't worry, I won't tell anyone ;) - Kingpin13 (talk) 07:28, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Haha. I appreciate it :-). Cheers,--ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 07:29, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I removed your speedy deletion tag from this article, because WP:CSD#G1 does not cover material in foreign languages. decltype (talk) 07:52, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

My apologies. I didn't realize that that page was in a foreign language. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 07:52, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
No problem. Since it was written in my first language I had no problem distinguishing it from gibberish :) decltype (talk) 08:00, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, then I apologize for calling the written form of your first language gibbersh. Haha. I appreciate the notice, though. :) Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 08:02, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Adoption

On a separate note, would you be interested in being adopted by me? Your contribs seem to include a lot of recent change patrolling, anti-vandalism and speedy deletion, which are the fields I mostly work in as well. decltype (talk) 08:17, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, about all I do is revert vandalism and patrol the new pages. The rampant vandalism is what inspired me to create an account in the first place. :) Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 08:18, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Great, let me know if there's anything in particular you need help with. I have sifted through your contributions, and it looks good, apart from the two recent G1 slip-ups. Have you considered obtaining rollback? With it, you can revert much faster, and use tools like Huggle, which is extremely efficient. If you are interested, head over to WP:RFP/R. I am sure you will be granted permission, given your vandalism work. decltype (talk) 08:32, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Do you think that I would be granted rollback considering I haven't been on Wikipedia for too long? Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 08:34, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it :) decltype (talk) 08:50, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Fantastic, because sometimes Twinkle is just too slow. :) Thank you. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 08:51, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, it's not my decision, anyway. Another thing: Is it intentional that you out-indent your replies? decltype (talk) 08:53, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes. Should I not do this? I like to differentiate my replies from others. Though, I could see how this would be a problem in a conversation involving multiple parties. Duly noted. :) Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 08:56, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, normally I would expect too see you reply
here. But like you said, in a two-way conversation it doesn't matter. Oh, and I see that you got rollback as well. Excellent. decltype (talk) 09:00, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps I should get used to the indents. And yes, I was rather delighted to see that my request was approved and quite quickly. It will take me a minute to figure out Huggle. Any tips? Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 09:02, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, it's quite straightforward, I think. I prefer to use the hot-keys. 'Space' to view the next page, and 'Q' to revert/issue warning. I have also enabled it to automatically switch to the next page upon reverting. You may not want that in the beginning, to ensure that your reversions are correct. decltype (talk) 09:07, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Separate issue: Lady Sovereign discography should not have been tagged G3, because G3 implies that the edit was done in bad faith. Sure, the image was ridiculously large, but that could have been an honest mistake. decltype (talk) 09:10, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, you're right. I just assumed bad faith since the picture was so huge. What would you have tagged it? Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 09:11, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, you sure reply fast. I wouldn't have tagged it at all, I would have fixed it, because it was indeed a mistake. The creator had written 300x instead of 300px in the image box. decltype (talk) 09:30, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I have zero life. :) I see your point though. I should have checked it out instead of automatically assuming bad faith. Cheers, ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 09:31, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Ah, I'm not too happy about your tagging of Steve Lawton as an A7 either. It was borderline, but he does list a role in a notable film. That would count as a "claim of importance or significance", and the article should therefore be prodded or taken to AfD instead. decltype (talk) 09:36, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

The article, as created, didn't seem to explain to me why this person merited a Wikipedia article. But I see your point. I appreciate you being so helpful. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 09:38, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism false trigger?

this edit triggered a revert. Since I merged the Extreme Memory Profile article into Serial Presence Detect, a redirect page to the newly created redirect page Extreme Memory Profile is not wanted. So I fixed it. Whassup?

It sort of doesn't matter, as another bot will take care of it in time, but I'm curious what triggered the revert. 71.41.210.146 (talk) 04:00, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

My apologies. Since the page was being redirected to something that didn't seem to have anything to do with the article in question and the redirect was done by an IP address, I reverted it thinking it to be vandalism. I appreciate you pointing it out. Perhaps you should register an account? Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 04:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for calling you a bot. :-) I thought the edit comment explained my logic pretty well; I guess you skimmed past that part. 71.41.210.146 (talk) 04:09, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
That's alright, I feel like a bot sometimes. :-) Occasionally, though, a vandal will use a constructive edit comment to try and 'hide' his vandalism. This is what I thought that it was. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds chat 04:13, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

i was a little exited and wanted to have fun with wikipedia, now i know that it is not nice for people reading to see random things like what i wrote but i just wanted to say that the last edit i made WAS NOT FAKE i have read the book and that IS 1 of the 3 endings that they put in the end i am sorry.

Well, I am glad that you realized that vandalism isn't funny as many people (myself included) use Wikipedia as a resource. However, your last edit was still unproductive, even if done in good faith. Perhaps you should read this. Cheers, --ThoseStarsBurnLikeDiamonds stargaze 23:55, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi again :) Just a quick reminder: G4 is only for articles that were deleted through a discussion, like AfD, not those who were speedily deleted. decltype (talk) 01:37, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh, okay. Thanks. :-) Cheers,--T'Shael MindMeld 02:09, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Have my other tags been appropriate? Cheers,--T'Shael MindMeld 02:11, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, according to the closing admins, it looks mostly good. It seems that Mike Newton was deleted as a test page. Without having seen it, I cannot really comment. Cristián Oviedo was deleted as A7. You were probably incorrect to tag it G1, because that's reserved for articles that are truly pure gibberish. But again, it's hard to tell without having seen it. You can ask the closing admin for details, but it's not unlikely that more than one criterion applied in both cases. decltype (talk) 02:23, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough. :-) Thanks. Cheers, --T'Shael MindMeld 04:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Also, it seems like you already do, but if you come across a page that I have tagged incorrectly or a revert I've made that is in error, please don't hesitate to let me know as I always want to know my mistakes so that I can improve as a contributor. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Thank you for your support

Unfortunately, my RFA was closed recently with a final tally of 75½/38/10. Though it didn't succeed, I wanted to thank you for your support and I hope I can count on it in the future. Even though it didn't pass, it had a nearly 2 to 1 ratio of support and I am quite encouraged by those results. I intend to review the support, oppose, and neutral !votes and see what I can do to address those concerns that were brought up and resubmit in a few months. If you would like to assist in my betterment and/or co-nominate me in the future, please let me know on my talk page. Special thanks go to Schmidt, MICHAEL Q., TomStar81, and henrik for their co-nominations and support. — BQZip01 — talk

Would you be interested in joining this project? We need more editors who share a burden for rescuing promising editors who have gotten into serious trouble because of behavioral issues. IF (a fundamental condition!) they are interested in reforming and adapting to our standards of conduct, and are also willing to abide by our policies and guidelines, rather than constantly subverting them, we can offer to help them return to Wikipedia as constructive editors. Right now many if not most users who have been banned are still active here, but they are here as socks or anonymous IPs who may or may not be constructive. We should offer them a proper way to return. If you think this is a good idea, please join us. --Abce2|AccessDenied 00:25, 18 May 2009 (UTC) Why won't it link to the Wikiproject? Ahhh... Not a problem. :) --t'shael mindmeld 21:51, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Hmm...

Looks OK to me. Might be your computer's display size acting up. I've seen some weird stuff like that if the screen size is set incorrectly. Thanks for looking to me for the assist, though. I'm flattered. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:04, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Oops, never mind...it just did the same thing to me! The Barnstar graphic might be affecting it. You might want to copy it and post it to your userpage and delete it from here. Man, this IS weird! PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:05, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
I'll try moving it and see if that helps. Glad you got to me before I started playing around with my screen display and blew myself up ;). --t'shael mindmeld 01:07, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Yay; it worked. :) Thanks again, --t'shael mindmeld 01:08, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to pull you from your WikiBreak, but I was wondering... how do I get that neat little rollback icon at the top of my talk/user page? I can't for the life of me figure it out. Thanks! Vicenarian (talk) 14:58, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Apology

Hi. I'm sorry if I'm messing up this page. I don't know really how leave a message. I just got on Wikipedia today, and I wanted to play a joke on some teacher. My only goal when signing up was to make a page to insult my teacher. I realize now how impossible it would be to do, and I'm done here. You can totally delete the page on Allan A. Zarbock. Please excuse my ignorance. And, I'm just curious, how often are new pages checked? It seems awfully quick that I was found out. Are you alerted about totally new pages? Now that I think about it, I may have heard something about that...well, it's done now, right? I failed. Sorry about disrespecting the site. I'd never knew how serious that Wikipedia actually was. Now that I see people actually work to keep this a good site, I do feel somewhat guilty. I am sorry. Crispybananas. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crispybananas (talkcontribs) 01:14, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm glad that you realized that Wikipedia is a serious project. Having realized that, perhaps you might want to stay and contribute seriously to the project? To answer your question, new pages are checked almost instantly. There are several different programs to do this (NewPage Watcher, Huggle, etc). I appreciate your apology and hope that you decide to stick around and become a serious editor. :) All the best, --t'shael mindmeld 01:40, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Article deleted

Hi there, I created an article of Masayasu Wakabayashi but i believe you deleted it following the guideline. I did not really write full text about the person, and wanted to add details but once I saved it, the article got the speedy deletion notice. I got the hang in tag but it's gone when i was editing. Now "Masayasu Wakabayashi" is directed to Audrey (owarai). He is the half of the most popular comedy duo in Japan "Audrey" and I finished the other half (Toshiaki Kasuga) of the duo and now I would like to create a Wakbayashi's article as well. I would like to know how to stop the redirection and have a new article page for Wakabayashi. I contacted one of the admins User:James086 a while ago but I have not got any respose. Please instruct.

Thanks --Yukie wing (talk) 14:36, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

While I didn't delete the article myself, I did tag it for speedy deletion because it didn't meet the notability requirements at WP:BIO. My suggestion to you is to write the article in you user space (e.g. User:Yukie wing/Masayasu Wakabayashi) and then to contact another user and have them read over it (Vicenarian is a good choice) and have them give you an objective opinion on it. If they think that it meets up to the notability requirements then just replace the redirect that is currently on the page with the text of the new article. Hope that this helps. --t'shael mindmeld 22:34, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for coming out

I would like to thank you for coming out and participating in my Request for Adminship, which closed unsuccessfully at (48/8/6) based on my withdrawal. I withdrew because in my opinion I need to focus on problems with my content contributions before I can proceed with expanding my responsibilities. Overall I feel that the RfA has improved me as an editor and in turn some articles which in my eyes is successful. Thank you again for your support. Cheers and happy editing. --kelapstick (talk) 18:22, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Not a problem. If you ever run for adminship again, you can count on my support.. unless you go apeshit between now and then. :) t'shael mindmeld 21:40, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Some I said support, some I said coming out, some I just said thank you. I guess I was just "mixing it up a bit". I will make an attempt not to go apeshit before the next RfA, but no promises. :D --kelapstick (talk) 21:44, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

What is it with guys like that who just keep posting and posting and posting some more after being asked not to? All of his edits were spam and he didn't have the decency to respond to the concerns raised on the talk page. So, he's been shown the door. I haven't got a lot of patience for wanton misuers like that. Thanks for letting me know. BTW, I'm certain you've seen the new Star Trek movie based on your username. Incredible flick.  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:25, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Do go when you have the chance. I won't spoil the plot for you, but I highly recommend it. My wife is a Trek fan, but my brother is absolutely rabid. His jaw about fell off when I got him a personally autographed photo of Michael Dante in his "Tuesday's Child" garb from the original show. He's a friend of mine and I swear, he still looks the same if just a tad older. His son got him one better last Christmas, but I haven't seen it yet. How does DeForest Kelley's authenticated, actual script from "City on the Edge of Forever" grab you...? --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:35, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't have it...and hoo boy, do I wish I did. It's my brother's. Tell you another thing I wish I had: Back in the early 80s, I was helping my future brother-in-law move some furniture to a storage unit in the extreme northern tip of Torrance, California. We offloaded the furniture, drove the rental truck to the end of the driveway on our way out...and we found ourselves face-to-face with the actual, full-sized Galileo shuttlecraft. In-freaking-credible. It was built mostly of plywood and the interior was bare except there was still some wiring inside of it. I never did find out who owned the thing and it was there only a short time longer. And me without a camera. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:47, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

I hear ya. Other than knowing Michael Dante, that's my best Trek story. I remember getting hooked when it was in reruns; I was just a little kid when it first aired, although I remember watching it sometimes in prime time. In high school, my friends seemed to be in two camps, namely Trek fans and, of all things, "Space: 1999." There was a "Battlestar Galactica" fan or two as I recall, but we Trek geeks were the majority. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:57, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree that notability is seriously lacking for Amontarista Plana (the band), but it is generally a good idea to let contributors have at least an hour or two before putting them through the wikilawyering of deletion debates. If nothing happens by this time tomorrow, then by all means send it over to WP:AFD (I've already voted in my head even). There are no obvious copyvios and no attacks on the page that I can see. ZabMilenkoHow am I driving? 08:59, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Good catch, Bubba. :) Also, ZabMilenko, if the only reference for an article is MySpace (a Google search on this artist brings up MySpace and YouTube), etc., then the article qualifies as an A7.-t'shael mindmeld 21:01, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Most of the time, yes. But unless the claims to notability are obviously spurious then best to find another way around... usually G11 or G12 I find! – B.hoteptalk• 21:26, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

(outdent) You're right, Bubba. And considering the username of the article's author, perhaps G11 would have been best. I never seem to check for copyvios unless they're extremely obvious. This is something I will have to work on. -t'shael mindmeld 21:32, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

As I said to Zab on his talk page. It becomes instinct. You can smell it a mile off. Oh, and by the way, I've never come across an article that you have tagged that I wouldn't/haven't deleted. – B.hoteptalk• 21:35, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Sadly, most little minds view this as a playground. Same sorts of minds who go into a public restroom and carve gang signs in the walls. Idiots. Re. your becoming an admin: Someday soon, I hope.  :) You know, I've been thinking about getting Twinkle given that I do more cleanup than writing anymore. I did some tweaks to an old article yesterday and I actually wrote two over the past couple of weeks, but I'm running out of ideas. The two new articles were Hurst Hemi Under Glass and Hurst Hairy Olds, both major exhibition drag racers (and model car kits) of the 1960s. Hoping to add more to Wild Bill Shrewsberry when he gets back from vacation. I've always had a passive interest in drag racing, so getting to know Bill has been a real privilege. I'm amazed at how few articles there are on the important early guys. No articles yet on Bob Riggle, Eddie Schartman or Gas Ronda. Bill didn't have one until I wrote it...but we have dozens of articles on minor soccer players. I may tackle an article on the "Little Red Wagon" exhibition car. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:35, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Good question. I try to write at least three good paragraphs and build from there. By the time I'm through researching, writing and proofing, I have about an hour invested in a good-sized stub or short article. The one I wrote on the Pacific Electric Railroad Bridge grew almost exponentially since it's on the US Register of Historic Places and those guys interested in those listings really dug in and made it a beauty. Been a LONG time since I worked on a feature, though. Ridge Route was probably the most fun. I started that as a good, short article and discovered a HUGE amount of online info, not to mention a now-inactive user who lived nearby, helped with the writing and took the photos. My goal before I dropped out of the project for nearly two years was to bring Disneyland Railroad to FA status. I worked it up to "good" status and there's been a tremendous amount of historical information posted to Miceage.com in recent months. So, I stand a really good chance of making that one feature number seven. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:44, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

I am honored, O Vulcan.  :) Gotta run, but please stay in touch. It's a genuine pleasure working with you and you are a tremendous asset to this site. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:56, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Mind If I Steal...

...your essays on reversion and speedy deletion? And, like, a substantial portion of the formatting for your user page. I mean, not ALL of it, but I really like those icons you have up top there... Vicenarian (T · C) 18:30, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Nah, go right ahead. :) I got the essays from J.delanoy and Nawlinwiki. -t'shael ,Lord of the Vulcans 18:34, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
If you're talking about the rollback/account creator icons, it may be easier to copy user:T'Shael/Icons to your user space so that you can get rid of "I hold the SUL for T'Shael", since you do not. ;) -t'shael ,Lord of the Vulcans 18:36, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Don't worry, I'm all over it. :) I do hold the SUL for Vicenarian, but for some reason, I like it with just the icons. Go figure. Vicenarian (T · C) 19:03, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
It has a certain appeal. Less is more sometimes. -t'shael ,Lord of the Vulcans 19:05, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

(outdent)Oh, by the way, you cannot nominate the main page for deletion using Twinkle. :) -t'shael ,Lord of the Vulcans 19:06, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Duh. You can't edit the main page at all, as it is fully protected. Silly. Vicenarian (T · C) 19:13, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, actually, I tried to nominate my user page. I was too much of a coward to try the main page. Chalk up another IRC falsehood. ;) -t'shael ,Lord of the Vulcans 19:15, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

This was my first article from scratch. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to dig through OFFLINE sources to go into any greater detail, as this guy is old.

Although, since he's really only notable for founding Takoma Park, Maryland, I may just merge the articles together. But notice that the Takoma Park article is in need of some major work...

Vicenarian (T · C) 20:58, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Then I would say that you have a lot of work to do, sir. :) -t'shael ,Lord of the Vulcans 01:27, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, you know what they say...

..about great minds and all.  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:29, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Tagging for deletion

I saw your message on User talk:Bongwarrior. If you want to tag a page for deletion, you have to put {{db|(your reason here)}} on the page you want to be deleted, replacing "(your reason here)" with the reason why you think the page should be deleted. NHRHS2010 |  Talk to me  14:23, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Ah, I usually forget that that is an option since most of my tagging is with Twinkle. I appreciate the reminder. :) -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 14:33, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Congratulations!

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
For consistently beating me to the Huggle revert button, I award you this barnstar for your antivandalism efforts.--Just James T/C 15:27, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. :) It's much appreciated. -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 15:29, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Barnstar of shame

{{subst:User:Spinningspark/Barnstar shame}} SpinningSpark 00:36, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Ah, splendid. :) Much appreciated, -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 03:33, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Thank You!

I am very grateful for your barnstar. Thanks for you compliments to my userpage aswell. I'm glad that you viewed it. Thanks again and Happy Editing:)!--SchnitzelMannGreek. 14:38, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

By the way, how do I put that thing on your page(toolbar) that has icons for userpage/talkpage/monobook/barnstars....etc.?SchnitzelMannGreek. 14:38, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the cookie. :) For the toolbar, there are some pretty nice ones at the User page design center. The easiest way is to copy the one you want and then create your own page (i.e. user:SchnitzelMannGreek/NavBar) so that you can replace user:Example with your own username, and then put {{user:SchnitzelMannGreek/NavBar}} on your user page. If you'd like the one that I have, let me know and I'll change all the instances of my name over to yours so that you can use it. :) Best, -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 16:48, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
I got the toolbar up but when I click on user or talk it takes me to a wser example. Can you help me formatt it to SchnitzelMannGreek. I also need your opinion-does the page look better with or without the bar and is there a better position for it?SchnitzelMannGreek. 17:05, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Done Since I'm rather partial to navigation bars, I think it looks nice where it is. :) -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 17:06, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

It's my Band!

Hi. I'm BriMaster2 and you took off my band's plea off my user page. I had it on there for over a month and no one else did anything. Also, why can't I tell people about MY BAND?! You also put my page Brian Campbell (Singer) up for speedy deletion. I'm inportant. Without me my band would be nothing. And my band is important because it's the first self-published band with all members under 15. Isaac is 14 and Jarrad is 14 and I'm 12. So why is that trash?! —Preceding undated comment added 18:05, 14 June 2009 (UTC).

Did you read that link that I put on your user page? Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal website. Your user page is about you as a Wikipedian, and pages in your user space should be used as part of your efforts to contribute to the project. Trying to find a bass player and a drummer has nothing to do with Wikipedia. The reason that I nominated your article Brian Campbell (Singer) for speedy deletion can be found at WP:BAND. -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 18:11, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Question

Hi. How do you set pages up for deletion or do all that stuff. I want to be important and I would like people to go to my user page. I just don't know what to do. I created over 50 pages but all but three were deleted and 2 are up for deletion. My only surviving page is 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Also reply to the band thing. I'm sad about that. It makes me seem small and useless when my pages are deleted, and especially when they're about me.-BriMaster2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by BriMaster2 (talkcontribs) 18:11, 14 June 2009

First of all, don't feel small and useless. If I created an article about myself, it would be speedy deleted as well as I'm just not notable enough for inclusion in an online encyclopedia. A good starting reference for you would be to check out Wikipedia:Introduction and then familiarize yourself with our policies. Then, if you're interested, you may wish to look into the adopt-a-user program. This is a program where experienced editors help new editors with any queries they may have regarding any aspect of Wikipedia. I hope that this helps some. Best, -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 18:17, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Question 2

How do you get you're signature to be red or blue and how do you sign?-BriMaster2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by BriMaster2 (talkcontribs) 18:12, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

You sign by typing ~~~~ at the end of your statements. To change your display signature you go into your preferences which can be found at the top of your screen. Please read WP:SIGNATURE for options on colour, size, etc.-T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 18:18, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Making Kids Cry?

How very un-Vulcan-like of you. :-P Vicenarian (T · C) 18:15, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, it wasn't my intention. ;) -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 18:17, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Feel free to chime in with help, if you feel so inclined. :) -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 18:21, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Re: Adoption

Sorry for the late reply – sure, I'll adopt you! I'm coming back from a long break, though, so it'll take me a while to ease back into Wikipedia.

First, add {{adoptee|Dylan620}} to your userpage. Then, please answer the following questions. Place {{tick}} next to the letter "A" to say "yes" to the question, or place {{cross}} next to the letter "A" to say "no" to the question.

Q1. What would you like to learn?

A. To be vague, anything that you can teach me. ;) My main areas of experience on Wikipedia are vandalism and new-page patrolling. I'm also relatively active in the account creation process, so we could probably skip those areas. I guess that you could say that I would like to know everything about Wikipedia that you know. ;)

Q2. Would you like to be an administrator someday?

A. checkY

As an additional comment, I see that you do excellent work patrolling for vandalism and bad pages. Keep it up! Cheers, Dylan620 (Toolbox Alpha, Beta) 16:23, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

I second that comment. And welcome to the Dylan family! Vicenarian (T · C) 16:58, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Does this mean we're Wiki-related? ;) That's a scary thought. -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 17:00, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Very well then, we begin adoption tomorrow! :) Dylan620 (Toolbox Alpha, Beta) 20:43, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Splendid. :) I'm looking forward to it. -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 20:44, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
I mean, come on, we've already had our little sibling rivalry going on. 'Bout time to make it official! Vicenarian (T · C) 20:57, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

(outdent) Rivalry? What is this "rivalry" of which you speak? ;) -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 21:01, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Thank you

For participating in my RFA. Even though it was a compelte and utter failure, I would like to thank you for the advice. I hope that I will be better for my next RFA. Thanks, Abce2|AccessDenied 22:58, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

A Cookie Wasn't Enough, So Here's a Barnstar

The Special Barnstar
After you helped me set up my nav bar to the SchnitzelMannGreek settings, I felt that a cookie wasn't enough. So I'm awarding you this barnstar for taking your time to help make my userpage even better. Thanks:)SchnitzelMannGreek. 03:43, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
  • I just need your honest opinion on something, can you review my userpage and tell me if it looks good where I put the nav bar now or did it look better without.(Would it still have gotten an award from you and look well with the bar because if it doesn't i'll figure out what to do, thanks!SchnitzelMannGreek. 03:43, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Ah, thank you for the barnstar! :) As to your user page, I actually like it better with the nav bar. And I agree with your placement of it within the border of your user page. Hope this helps, -T'Shael, Lord of the Vulcans 03:46, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
