Hi there Jamescp, I would first like to start by saying that your contributions here are greatly appreciated. As for the referenced article, I have a few request. One being that before you continue to make large and controversial edits you make sure that you have gained consensus for doing so on the articles talk page. While I would generally greet you with a barnstar for being bold, I ask that since this is a current event and there are is a lot of tension/disagreements surrounding the topic, that you attempt to curb your editing and move on over to the articles talk page. Understand that continually removing large amounts of content without consensus can result in a block, and I recommend you take a look over WP:3RR & WP:EDITWAR to ensure that you do not violate any of those policies (because if you do, I will not hesitate to block you)

Edit warring block[edit]

I have to block you for editwarring because of the following diffs: [1] [2] [3] [4]. You have been warned against excessive reverts with everyone else that is active on that talk page. Your block is for editwarring, not 3RR. I understand you have done a ton of edits to the article, and thats fine, but you can't do what you did above, that is excessive. —— nix eagle 17:14, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My last edit for the article in question was on 10 September 2008 at 23:16. I was given a warning by TipTeoty at 23:56 of which I ceased to edit the article. I had chosen to abandon the article as no progress was being made. I am unsure why I was blocked after receiving (and obeying) a warning from another administrator. jamescp 17:29, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have unblocked you: Unblock message was Alright, I missed the warning tiptoety gave you, (which you restored after I told you about the block, I'm unblocking because what you have said is true, however you have had plenty of warning before that admin's warning, including my warnings to you on IRC and additional comments which I"m sure you read on that article's talk page. You are lucky that another admin reviewed before I got to it. I want to be clear, I still do feel that the above block was a valid block, as you knew ahead of time that repeated reverts was disruptive. (note that I blocked for disruption, not 3RR). The fact that someone filed a 3RR report, and you got a warning from that a while ago, and that you heeded that warning is why I am unblocking you. —— nix eagle 17:55, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
