Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Do not delete the CSD notice[edit]

If you wish to dispute a CSD request please use the "hang on" tag and then use the Talk page of the article for discussion. Do not just delete the CSD notice. Thanks! Rob Banzai (talk) 18:59, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:75557827DB009 TENNESSEE TIT 20070909120940 gallery 600.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Speedy deletion of Image:Adam Podlesh.jpg[edit]

License tagging for Image:Fred Taylor.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Fred Taylor.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:11, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Travis Brorsen[edit]

I have nominated Travis Brorsen, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Travis Brorsen. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. July 2008[edit]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Travis Brorsen, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. You should really consider that templates point out problems that need fixing. Sweeping the templates themselves under the rug doesn't fix the problems. Christian Bale[edit]

I see you added the category English Christians to the Bale article. As far as I know he hasn't ever said anything about his religion. Do you have a ref? She'sGotSpies (talk) 20:21, 23 August 2008 (UTC) Sorry, forgot to sign[reply]

As a follow-up to that question, you have added various categories about religious affiliation to a number of bio articles without any sourced statement in the article to back it up. Please understand I am not a zealot who is trying to strike all references to religion from any bio article. I simply want Wikipedia policies, in this case WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:CITE, to be followed. So I am politely asking you to stop adding categories to Wikipedia articles, especially bio articles, that are not backed up by a statement in the article that cites a reliable source. Thank you. AfD Nomination: Mesphin Forrester[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Mesphin Forrester meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mesphin Forrester. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Giants27 T/C 00:17, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Happy_Jon.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Happy_Jon.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:33, 29 June 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 21:33, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Jville giants.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Jville giants.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:19, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Status and Advice[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I removed the BKLP Prod tag on this and the other articles, because they are cited to the team roster, which is a reliable source for what is claimed in the article. However, these articles are very likely to be deleted because the usual criterion is that the not just be on the roster, but appear on the field in a regular season game. And, at any rate, they need additional sources, especially if notability is possible for other reasons, such as a distinguished college career)

I really suggest you do not spend your efforts on articles that are very unlikely to be kept, but work on articles that do meet the criteria at WP:Bio and its subpages. We are, for example, missing articles on many notable players from earlier periods. DGG ( talk ) 20:48, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Antonio Dennard, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bgwhite (talk) 00:33, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
