Current criticism of GCA[edit]

If you are looking for a more recent example of criticism of GCA, you might check out this link [1] Generally, sources like this (self published in essence) are not allowed, however they are if the person who created it is a recognized expert in a field, as Larry Pile certainly is. Perhaps this could be incorporated in the place of the Terry Dugan blog information. What do you think? Xanthius 00:38, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Hey, I'm not trying to eaves-drop or anything, but I noticed your message on Xan's talkpage. This in particular caught my eye:

"I'm trying to figure it all out and write-up a report to give to the pastors etc. and ask for not only accountability in it all, but repentance if things are being done incorrectly"

Please let me know how this goes. My personal email is nate.swinton@gmail.com. I've thought and prayed long and hard about doing this very thing in my GC church, but at the moment I'm leaning more towards just quietly walking away. There are dozens of specific examples from the GC church I've attended for the last several years of things in direct violation of the "steps taken to correct" from the 1991 Weakness Statement.

I'm an ex-GC-staffer, and I've seen more than many of GC's critics. I don't have an axe to grind per-se, but I'm definitely thinking through how to handle how the last few years with GC have treated my wife and I. Anyway, I hope we can stay in touch. Nswinton\talk 03:26, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
