Your contributed article, "Nikita"[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, "Nikita". First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Nikita. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Nikita. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Pikavoom Talk 07:29, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks. I will be aware on what I will do. Inarawan1979 (talk) 07:33, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for doing this, I forgot that I'm sourcing Wikipedia on that page. Will not be repeated again. Inarawan1979 (talk) 10:17, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Inarawan1979! Your additions to Sacrifice (Elton John song) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 14:35, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm Sea Cow. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Something About the Way You Look Tonight, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Sea Cow (talk) 01:55, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Someday Out of the Blue, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lynn Davis. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Songs from the West Coast Tour—because it did not appear constructive. Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. -Killarnee (CTU) 05:48, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:EltonJohnETWA.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:35, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Song title in We All Fall in Love Sometimes[edit]

Hello, Inarawan1979. I wanted to let you know that I have made a change to the article you recently created, We All Fall in Love Sometimes. In the text of the article and the Infobox, the song name was given as "We ARE Fall in Love Sometimes" instead of "We ALL Fall in Love Sometimes" (my emphasis). If you disagree and you intended that to be the song name, please discuss on the Talk page, Talk:We All Fall in Love Sometimes.--Gronk Oz (talk) 10:50, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I apologized for my mistake on its' title. Inarawan1979 (talk) 11:03, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 19[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Slow Rivers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pop.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it, thanks for reminding me. I forget that part. Inarawan1979 (talk) 06:19, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Elton-John-Bite-Your-Lip.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". I apologized for this, I forgot to remove dashes on this file, so I created a new one. But I'm not willing to contest this anymore. Inarawan1979 (talk) 23:31, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about it – it's not a big deal. In the future, you can add {{Rename media|new filename|reason for name change}} to rename the file, or if you've already created one, can add {{db-author}} to the unused one. Hope that helps, Sdrqaz (talk) 00:34, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

March 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to The One (Elton John song), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. You also added original research and poorly cited information. Aksyon (TV program)[edit]

Hi @Inarawan1979: You added a whole block of content into the Aksyon (TV program). The majority of it wasn't referenced. Every sentence needs a referenced, so I reverted. Please make sure that each sentence has a reliable reference per WP:RS please. scope_creepTalk 09:17, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

April 2022[edit]

Copyright problem icon Your edit to Marigold Sky has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. Reversion for 'Passengers'[edit]

On the page Passengers (Elton John song) I deleted the unreferenced and untrue claim that it had the most writers for a John song at that point. It has four, whereas Snow Queen, from eight years earlier, has five (John/ Taupin/ Johnstone/ Dee/ Nutter).

You reinstated the false claim, saying my statement was unsupported. This isn't how it works; we don't let unsupported claims stay on, on the contrary it's the published text which must have a source.

As for the veracity, you could simply search for Snow Queen in the same time it took you to make your erroneous edit and you'd see it is indeed correct to say it has five credited writers.

I've deleted the false claim again. Hope that's OK with you.

There's a scan of the record label with credits here: https://www.discogs.com/release/8260254-Elton-John-Kiki-Dee-Dont-Go-Breaking-My-Heart-Snow-Queen/image/SW1hZ2U6MjM3NzkxNzg=

Hope that helps. Guiffang (talk) 13:15, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
