Russian Ground Forces staff buildings[edit]

Please accept my apologies. That particular photo had already been added to the En:wiki General Staff page previously. That meant I thought it was a General Staff, rather than a Main Staff of Ground Forces, building. When I saw 'Main staff' in your caption therefore I believed that someone with little knowledge of how the armed forces are organised had mistaken a Russian General Staff bldg for a Ground Forces Headquarters building. Thus I reverted the addition. I'll make the necessary reverts. But do you have any corroboratory evidence that the building in the photo is actually a HQ GF building and not just a confusion on the original photographers' part? Thanks anyway for your attempts to help document all the Russian armed forces HQ office buildings - sometimes I feel I'm working alone on the present day armed forces. Buckshot06 (talk) 05:36, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou very much indeed Ikar.us. I really appreciate you making the effort here - it's really helpful. With the newspaper articles we can write in that that address is HQ GF. Buckshot06 (talk) 21:02, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stillbirth definition info[edit]

Where you are getting this info? Would you mind adding sources for <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Stillbirth&diff=361718311&oldid=360837524> so that our readers may be able to verify your addition. Thanks! -Andrew c [talk] 20:40, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's translated from de:Totgeburt. There are probably no English sources for laws in German language countries. --Ikar.us (talk) 21:40, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine to cite German language sources if nothing else is available. Non-english source better than no source. -Andrew c [talk] 23:54, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Barnstar of Diligence
Thank you very much for taking the time to review such a large amount of images. 🙂 ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:01, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. However I'm not reviewing them all, but only picking some random articles that are related to Germany. --Ikar.us (talk) 20:11, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's perfect 🙂 It exceeds my expectations; I think there are now over 10 users who review images in their area of interest. Together, we can probably review a large amount of them. Thanks again for every single reviewed image. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:55, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

VL 1 / VL 2[edit]

Hi Ikar.us, are you sure about Special:Diff/1015324683? Seems to be the engine of LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin, not a VL 1? All information I have about this is from a 10 minute Wikipedia research, so I may be completely wrong. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:48, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The German Wikipedia uses a caption we could translate to use the image anyway ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:56, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done, feel free to adjust in any way you like ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:59, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, it's in Commons:Category:Maybach VL.I, so I thought it's right. But it seems this is wrong.
(And Commons:Category:Maybach VL.II contains an image of a differential gear. Major confusion there.)
--Ikar.us (talk) 21:02, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh! Thanks for re-categorizing the image too. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:37, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
