March 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Focus on policy and the article not on the other editor. Ridernyc (talk) 08:57, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The usual sibject...[edit]

To your post of 22:56 10 Mar at Talk:Christian radio, I think it is better to address your comment here. This would go right underneath your own comment:

Ihope, this site may be a little different than others you may be used too. Firstly, there are no "mods". There are administrators, of which I am one. I don't decide on content at all, I try to provide guidance on policy and I watch behaviour when there is a dispute, and I can close some discussions and give a conclusion on what other people said. Armor is being a bit personal, yes. Comments about newness to Wikipedia kind of give me a chuckle, I just came across a current editor whose first edit was in May 2001 - we're all new here. :) My advice is what my Dad told me a long time ago - "rise above it". Failing that, you can file a case at the etiquette noticeboard and uninvolved people will check it out. I think Armor will be away for a week, so you might want to wait until they become fully active again.

None of that really applies to "improving the article", which is what the article talk page is for. Please keep the behavioural issues separate from article issues, that way people can focus on improving articles on article talk, and the rest of the "stuff" can be handled elsewhere. Regards! Thanks Franamax for the clarification and advice. I will continue to contribute constructive input and avoid pettiness. I am very new to Wiki so I'm still learning terminology and what needs to be said where. I appreciate you and the other admins input and oversight. thanks!
