Civility[edit]

I'm not quite sure if this has occurred to you, but with Wikipedia being a collaborative project, we have a strict policy against personal attacks and attempt to maintain a civil environment. Placing provocative messages on your user page and then trolling people who remove them is blatantly in violation of both of these. I am removing the comment again. I recommend that, providing you don't want to be blocked, you tone down your attitude and grow up. Ironically, you're certainly not behaving like someone with a high IQ. If you have genuine concerns about my userpage, you can leave me a message on my talk page, but if you continue to attack me or type in block capitals, I'll just ignore you. J Milburn (talk) 17:02, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Erm, no, that's not the way it works. 'Your' userpage is no more yours than mine. Userpages are still part of Wikipedia, and they must still follow our various policies, including those of no personal attacks. J Milburn (talk) 18:14, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No one is Wikipedia, and the idea that you do not own your userpage is not a difficult one, stop being ridiculous. Your userpage is not your own space to write and show whatever you like- despite the fact I have no intention of telling you what to put on your userpage, if you start putting inappropriate material on then I will remove it. J Milburn (talk) 20:12, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Considering that this is over you claiming that you probably have a higher IQ than others, it's ironic that you are finding this so difficult to understand. Your userpage does not belong to you (please read this policy page) and it still has to comply with our policies, including our policies of civility and no personal attacks. I am not telling you what to put on your userpage, I am just saying what you can't put on it. Also, stop saying I'm 'screwing around'- you evidently do not understand our policies, and I resent you telling me what to do/how I should be editing. What part of this don't you understand? Seriously, how could I explain this any more simply? Do you somehow believe that this sort of casual mudslinging is acceptable? J Milburn (talk) 21:35, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You accuse me of not having a life, yet sit around hurling mud and then dig in your heels when someone points out you're behaving like a five year old? Right. Simple- attack me again, I block you. This is your last warning. Grow up, actually read what I'm saying rather than accusing me of everything under the sun and just get on with building the encyclopedia. You don't seem to want to read our policy pages, but I do recommend you take a look at this essay. J Milburn (talk) 21:53, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As we seem unable to reach a conclusion here, I have requested a third opinion. J Milburn (talk) 22:25, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WQA on you[edit]

I agree that J Milburn didn't have a very good reason to edit your user page, but these two responses aren't acceptable. Please try harder to remain civil in the future. --OnoremDil 14:22, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Note that you were subject to a WQA here, and that I endorse the advice/warning by Onorem. Ncmvocalist (talk) 16:37, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Full-house-cast.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Full-house-cast.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters (talk) 03:15, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Reba cast.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Reba cast.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Image tagging for File:TCLogo2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:TCLogo2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
