Slovenia

Hi there! You are welcome to join WikiProject Slovenia . We need as many Slovene members as possible!!

♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 21:42, 20 March 2008 (UTC) Hi I;ve created the below template for Celje. Could you help translate the red links for the places into english and help expand or add them. I;ve started a few stubs but can't speak the language unfortunately although I have learnt a few words such as grad and dom etc. Some fo the districts I;ve started have pages on SLovenian wiki ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 13:08, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah I see -nice country -or so it looks. I like your user page -very attractive! ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 14:03, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks lol thats my Mike Myers humor. Yes I have been adding an infobox and locator to most of the places in Africa and Central Asia and trying to make some flickr agreements to beautify them -see Category:Cities, towns and villages in The Gambia etc. e.g Bakau etc. Basically I will be looking to add infoboxes to all of the slovene towns like Begunje and try to find images of all places. Any help you can give in copying the infoboxes and entering the correct coordinates etc for the pin map on any Slovene places would help immensely. If you could take as many images as you can wherever you travel this is always a wonderful thing. Personally I think the wikimedia project should hire photographers to travel the depths of the globe!!! A wiki photographer lol ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 14:12, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LOL thankyou!! Sometimes I get the impression people don't seem to notice!!! I see it as mapping out an encyclopedia - building a strong foundation to built upon -all that seperates the new articles is development. I've seen stubs I've started on notable encyclopedic topics develop into GA articles -usually somebody somewhere knows something given the size of this -I find it great that in working on Slovenia I come across people who actually live there and can help out. Pretty cool! Thanks buddy. Thats two Portuguese people who have complimented me today!! ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 22:26, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If I need help expanding some of the Brazilian towns and reserves when info is Portuguese I hope I can call on you from time to time -if you aren;t too busy. Far too many stubs on Brazil, particularly on important towns and places. I created Template:Location map Brazil so eventually every Brazilian place will have a infobox and map ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 22:31, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes in my experience many people seem unwilling to tackle red links. If they are set up it is far more likely they will be expanded. Have a read of Deforestation in Brazil if you have time which I started -hopefully all of our ecological articles can become fuller like this! ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 22:33, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a list of Portuguese articles that need blue linking feel free also to give me a bell. I'll be happy to start them in my Blofeld bot mode! ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 22:49, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I created an article on List of bridges in Portugal the other day. I believe it may need translating the red links but the articles are there for starting now. If you have any requests let me know but I'd imagine you would be in a better position to translae them than I am !! Hope you are feeling spiffing on this fine day. The matter of fabricated quote for Brazil entry in International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence

Hi there. I realize that this is an imposition on your time, but I don't know how else to go about righting the problem. As you know, since you translated a sentence from the source, User:Avala has used a Portuguese source to document the position of Brazil as officially rejecting the Kosovo declaration of independence. Furthermore, he syntehsized a long quote for the Minister of External Affairs (Foreign Affairs Minister), which is not in the source, and attributed it to a Ministry press release, which does not in fact quote him. The whole kit and kaboodle is being used by Avala on Commons to justify coloring Brazil red, as officially not recognizing. Also, the frozen article (page protection) here on the English Wikipedia contains the fabricated quote. My repeated pleas and efforts have been ignored, and I only have a 5 day block on Commons to show for my efforts. Avala, initially symmetrically blocked for three days, had 2 of his days "transferred' to me by the blocking administrator ABF, without so much as a notification -- and has resumed reverting content on Commons (maps) that was in fact adjusted in the interim by User:Patstuart to my version, in part on the basis of this fabricated quote, and in part based on other bogus information (see Uruguay, Libya, Slovakia, Cuba, Algeria).

Could you please translate the entire source (it's not that long, about a page) and take a position on this issue as a native Portuguese (and English) speaker? Much obliged, --Mareklug talk 00:46, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. It's [1]. I believe it is currently the only source in the article under Brazil's entry in the tables. It is also source #14 in the References section on the talk page. The situation has been addressed already in Talk:International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence#Brazil and revisited in Talk:International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence#Brazil OPPOSES (where you translated the sentence I mentioned). --Mareklug talk 01:10, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yet, towards the end, there is a sentence attributed to the Foreign Minister, that Brazil is to wait with defining its official position on the UN SC ruling. Apart from official vs. leaning to not recognizing and calling for Serbia's assent, there is the separate issue of fabricating the quote used (i.e., putting stuff in quote marks which has no grounds for being in quote marks, and attributing it to a press release, which is unsigned and does not quote the person in question. For those reasons, it would be best to have the exact text. Or, on perusal of the Brazil entry, you think the article version is beyond reproach? --Mareklug talk 01:28, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, thank you so much. Could I only impose on you to paste it yourself on the article talk page, so that the handling of your translation is not compromised by me handling it, as I am a party alledging fabrication of the actual quote used on the Wikipedia. Best wishes, --Mareklug talk 01:53, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you kindly. If I may be of help translating any Polish, please call on me. Best wishes, --Mareklug talk 04:17, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Martijn Hoekstra

Hey there, Husond! I've been trying for months to get Martijn to run himself through RfA as I've felt that he was a worthy editor that could use the extra tools. You obviously agree with me. Would it be Okay if I co-nommed? I'll be offline shortly here for about 12 hours, but if you sent me a link, I'll add a co-nom before the RfA is transcluded. Martijn said it would be ok for me to co. I need help in redirecting

Mr. Husond, I just realize that it is written in the article Kosovo: "Kosova" redirects here. For other uses, see Kosova (disambiguation). but that is not the case as when I type Kosova it does redirect me to "Kosova (disambiguation) and not to Kosovo". So I would appreciate your help, Sir. --Tubesship (talk) 08:04, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:Tocino disruptive on Kosovo-related article. Please enforce probation.

Hello again. Since you took the trouble to translate and post the complete source used for Brazil in the international reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence, and you are an administrator, I would like to bring to your attention repeated disruptive edits by User:Tocino, who restores an evidently defective description of Brazil's position. You can assess and confirm that my edit brought the Wikipedia article content in line with the source, without changing the meaning, and removing fabricated quote ascribed to the Foreign Minister, which he never uttered, specifically, not in the Ministry document to which the quote is ascribed. Furthermore, my edit removed twice repeated content. I think Tocino is revertig my contributions out of personal spite, and not on merit, and for that alone, he should be removed from editing this article. His last edit summary refers to my edit as "stupid", when it clearly is justified on technical reasons (ability to link unambiguously to sections, by making their headings different). And, as is routine for Tocino, the edit summary hides the extent of the real edit made. I think this repeated offense alone justifies blocking. Thanks, --Mareklug talk 18:07, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. While I understand your reticence to discipline Tocino yourself, your explanation that you too edit the article compells me to ask, why aren't you restoring my Brazil edit, or putting in place your own version? Surely on merit installing a truthful synopsis of the Portuguese-language reference is desirable. Leaving Tocino's revert in place is harmful to Wikipedia content, the least of all the doubled content. Surely this needs fixing? If I were to do it myself, acting boldly, I would surely become accused of edit warring. Hence my appeal to you. --Mareklug talk 18:43, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SLovenian biography

HI Husond I'm trying to set up a detailed series on notable Slovenes by occupation which I believe is an extremely useful way of identifying what is missing on here and provides a good way to build content on here and fill in the missing articles. I've created pages like List of Slovenian architects but I'm afraid I've run into an editor who disapproves of the List of Slovenian astronomers as according to him it is "trivial". I think otherwise and think astronomy is a perfectly encyclopedic subject as is astronomers and think lists provide an important platform to build on. At present it is marked for deletion ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 16:53, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cities, towns and villages in Slovenia

Hi I've had a chance to look at the settlements in Slovenia today and the vast majority are a shambles and have been subject of a tagging plastering session because they are unreferenced and have multiple issues. Can we make it a project priority to clean up these pages and expand to an acceptable level, particularly the municipalities of Slovenia -thankyou ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 14:10, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I've begun switching the infoboxes to stnadard so we can incorporate the actual town location maps too. See Ajdovščina -I've also been copying the villages in the municipalities from sloven wiki red linked ready for starting. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 14:29, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yep now I've reorganized the category into one to avoid the big irregularity in what is a village or a town etc I aim to go through each of the municipalities and add a standard infobox, including those which don't have them yet. They need a huge amount of work and in my view are priority for WP:Slovenia ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 14:32, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure I'll convert that infobox now ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 14:42, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hokey dokee, I've switched the infobox and added some images and missing articles in terms of neighborhoods, towns and villages in the municipality and famous persons/landmarks. I'll try to start the villages in the next few days. What would be great is if you could take some more images of the town!!! Its a bit basic the images we have at present! Perhaps I could see about creating a city template like I did for Ljubljana and Celje and develop content on actual places within it ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 15:06, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thats cool! Thanks for those images. I can't believe how underdeveloped these articles are! ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 16:15, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've done Ptuj and Škofja Loka!! -could you add captions. These places look awesome. What I'll do over the next few days is create city/municiapl templates like Template:Ljubljana and try to create a few hundred articles in total on places within the various cities inand municipalities including the villages ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 16:48, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just out of interest, why did you fail to express your "anti-split" position here? Why do you keep ignoring that there was a clear consensus for splitting in that strawpoll? dab (𒁳) 14:43, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think you misunderstand the point of AfD. AfD is for articles for which there are valid arguments for deletion. In some cases, the outcome will be "merge". AfD is not for articles for the deletion of which there is no case whatsoever, just for the sake of a more exciting merge discussion. dab (𒁳) 16:32, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

any reason why a noncontroversial editprotect request is not being handled or even acknowledted?

We have an uncontested, in fact, agreed upon as needed, editprotect request on Talk:International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence to correct a factual error in date (4x, same item: 2 in text, 2 in a reference citation). Is there a reason why this is being ignored? I reminded User:Zscout370 of it, and he wrote back that he can't get to it this week and will get another admin to handle it. So far, nothing. I am also aware that it is unlikely that the article protection will be removed before it is scheduled to run out on 3 April. Is there a reason I don't know about why Wikipedia has to sport an obvious date error all that time? --Mareklug talk 16:59, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, it reads correctly, and I commented out stuff on the talk page as you requested. However, I forgot to include in the editrequest the change of the ref tag itself, so name="MFA Macdedonia 30 March 2008" strings in the ref HTML tags may continue to mislead. But at least the article text and its references are now correct. Thank again. --Mareklug talk 17:57, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed

Hello Húsönd. I came across a situation yesterday at Talk:International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence with this section. It pretty much boiled down to continuous attacks between Mareklug and Tocino, both of which have been previously warned. Here is the content that was removed. Markelug took offense to my bold removals, and posted a response. Could you give it a look? Thanks, Grsz11 05:04, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I take issue with the above characterization, as I have not been warned in connection with any conversation with Tocino. I feel that the beginning user:Grsz11 who evidently has aspirations to become a policeman on Wikipedia is acting brutishly, and without regard for the well-being of either the Wikipedia or its editors. His call on Administration Noticeboard/Incidents to "dish out punishment" is highly questionable. His failure to remove the personal attack such as it was, instead enshrining the "Mareklug is a troll" headline and leaving for several hours, and then making a meal of it by accusing me of making personal attacks is further evidence of at least uncareful perception. This user only started editing a year ago, and I think his lack of judgment shows. Being bold in editing main space has nothing to do with indiscriminate demanding to block users or censoring ineptly and harmfully discussion space. His disregard for actual discussion of merit and removing it does not bode well, either. Best regards, --Mareklug talk 06:31, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
P.s. While you help the would-be admin Grsz11 (he requested coaching for adminship 2 days ago), could you please explain to him that this sort of seamless surgery (and seem-less! :)) is unethical, especially keeping the original timestamp in place, especially since my reply directly addressed the crytpo-removed passage? He should have struck the passage and provided a new timestamp in addition to the old one. Am I being unreasonable? This editors's lack of jugdment in stealth censoring is downright frightening. --Mareklug talk 07:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh no, more Kosovo. :-) I'll get back to this later today, I'm in a hurry now. Húsönd 11:17, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think your attacks on me Mareklug are completely unneccessary, further proof of your incivility. Grsz11 15:43, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Criticizing your policing actions is a further proof of my incivility, but telling me you don't care what I think of your edits on your talk page is just the paragon of civility itself. Next time you deem it appropriate to remove a personal attack, please remove all of it at once, and the world will be a more civil place. Leaving some of it to shine without attribution is like a surgeon removing part of the cancerous organ while negligently leaving some in the body. It's known as malpractice. And please absolutely abandon the very idea of stealth-editing your say on an intervention noticeboard, while keeping the timestamp of the original while removing important, replied-to content. If you refrain from abovementioned questionable edits, local civility, not to mention, transparency and accountability, will only gain. If you took my criticism to heart and treat it as made in good faith and useful, instead of rejecting it aggressively and demanding that I be banned, have "punishement" "dished out" to me, and generally dissing me as a valuable editor, you will be promoting even more civility, as well as helping, not hindering Wikipedia. Accepting criticism and learning from it promotes civility. Civilly yours, --Mareklug talk 04:03, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well I must say that Grsz probably did well in removing that inflammatory thread. It was shifting from a discussion about the article to an opinion forum with abundant incivility and accusations. Further efforts may be needed to force users to engage in peaceful discussions and refrain from personal attacks. Probably more admins are needed to monitor Kosovo and its talk page. Húsönd 17:42, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

However I feel my lack of experience in certain admin functions such as xfd debates are areas to work on first, although I think/notice that admins do tend to become specialized in certain functions, as the encyclopedia is so vast. I've also been cutting back on my time here somewhat this year, shifting more time to Commons to clear an image backlog that keeps growing. ^__^; Personally I'm not yet at a point in my life where I feel that I can commit the time and effort expected/required of a sysop, and I'm still happier being just an editor for the present.  ;) BrokenSphereMsg me 15:20, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New poll started

Dear Husond, maybe you would like to participate in this poll about Kosova. To make it short, there are two sides, one side wants to marginalize the Republic of Kosova in the article Kosova or even to push it out by splitting, and the other side, me, user Jawohl, user Kosova2k8s and others want to be the article Kosova related to the Republic of Kosova. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kosovo#Protocol

Thank you in advance! :-) --Tubesship (talk) 23:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC) BTW: Your support to boost morale there is very welcome![reply]

Hello

Since you are an admin please would you edit the "International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence" and replace all the Prishtina with Pristina. As this is the correct way of spelling the capital city in English. As proven by many of sources. Ijanderson977 (talk) 20:36, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fastest Proof that B92 is full of SH*t

[6] In this article which talks about the draft constitution of Kosova (to be adopted June 15) they say on the first line that 103 deputies attended which is incorrect, 107 did. Kosova2008 (talk) 15:19, 9 April 2008 (UTC) PS: so much for presenting the facts[reply]

I read somewhere that you said that you find B92 neutral because they always seem to present the facts and blah blah. That is not true. I read b92 every single day and comment on their forums. The Biasness and yellow journalism can be found in the majority of articles. B92 is not a reliable source, I just hoped you'd see this. Feel free to believe whatever you'd like, I hope I have made my point. Kosova2008 (talk) 19:37, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please take a look at the recent additions/subtractions to/from this article. You will notice that the POV-pushing has spread here, and we have imminent potential for an edit war here, as well. Changes which have been locked out of the international reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence article have been made here, twice, with sourcing that does not correspond with article text. The second time, under the guise of undoing vandalism. Positions of countries has been misrepresented in favor of promoting Serbia's case on Kosovo, and an NPOV map array has been replaced with 1 map that is not NPOV but represents a contested viewpoint. Undoing those changes was named vandalism by the editor who instilled them. --Mareklug talk 18:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Jawohl

New section is over there. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Regards, Rudget (review) 17:23, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. As far as my request "to stop with predictions" towards users over at the Kosovo international recognition goes, I have apologized to Avala and you and I have also explained why I did it. Every time someone brought up this predictions we would end up in endless discussions about possible scenarios. As you may have noticed that article has a very big archive. That is also one of the reasons. If I requested someone to stop I also tried to use the word Please. Banning me from there seems unjust to me. One could always also ask the users wether I was really being non cooperative and a jerk. As for the Kosovo article: I have said it there and I will repeat it, wikipedia should provide users with information, as much as possible. If an article starts with "Kosovo is a disputed territory in the Balkans" and fails to tell who is disputing that territory. Then for me, there is some additional information missing. I have asked, both user dab and user beam, to tell me about who is disputing the territory but all they did was block. By saying, leave, troll, no, go away. Even user Ev suggested that the article needs a better info, and both user dab and user beam, ignored my attempts to write a better intro, by simply saying no. They did not even bother to make suggestions. I think that wikipedia is about working together for better articles and more knowledge but in my humble opinion, dab and beam do not help in that direction. I am new here, and I do not know a lot of things. But I know the difference between wright and wrong. I was wrong about my stops and dab and beam were wrong for purposely ignoring me. Thanks for your time. Jawohl (talk) 19:10, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"You too often reacted aggressively against users with whom you disagreed, and blatantly exposed an intent to circumvent WP:NPOV as per your own views on what should be a neutral point of view. For that, a ban is in order. If it makes you feel better, other users are likely to have a banning procedure initiated if they, too, won't stop warring each other and instead start communicating cooperatively and with respect for different opinions."

It may sound cheese to you, but for me every living being has a right to information. And I am referring to the fact that information, on who is disputing the territory of Kosovo, is missing from the intro. My intent to circumvent the NPOV does not stand since all I have asked for, was sourced additional material to make the article better. Under UN resolution 1244 UNMIK is to administer Kosovo and setup PISG. Under that same resolution Serbias soveregnity over Kosovo is acknowleged. PISG declared independence of Kosovo and was recognized by 30+ countries. Kosovo is being administered by UNMIK/PISG and serbs refuse to cooperate with PISG recognizing UNMIK as the sole legal institution. What is POV about that? Please tell me. I was constantly asked to leave and read the article and as a respond to that, I posted actual parts from the article which make statements such as "north is being governed by..." just to prove that I have read the article and still I was being ignored. I posted three parts from the article which lack any source to back up those claims, no response. This is censorship at its best. One can have lengthy discussions on what is POV and what is NPOV as long as there are no sources, but once sources are available they should be taken into account and presented to the reader. Even if they contradict each other.

It would not make me feel better if you would ban someone else, since as you said, you have been following the discussions and you make the calls. It is your decision, not mine. I can only complain, but refuse to request to ban someone else or lift up my ban. I think that everything gets better in this world through discussion, refusing to discuss is worse then calling someone a misfit, which is what user dab did. I was invited to participate, indirectly, by user beam. He invited us to fight "the albanian nationalism and the serb POV pushers". POV pushers should be invited to offer verifiable sources to back up their claims, they should be engaged in discussions and not fought back or ignored. However you decide on my ban or other peoples ban, I am no longer interested in being part of that war that people want to fight. My time is to precious to me to spend it on fights.

[When? Within the last 10 days. Unfortunately a lot of Kosovar Sympathizers only agreed to the consensus for the merge so that they could besiege the new Kosovo article with purely RoK POV. It kind of sucks, but I'm fighting hard to keep it NPOV. Any NPOV help is appreciated. I've also read this article now, and the whole talk page (took over an hour), so I may start trying to help this article as well. It's kind of obvious that there are both Serbists and Albanians here. Hopefully as a neutral interest I can be of some assistance. See you around! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beamathan (talk • contribs) 22:13, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Your "wording" does not really sound neutral to me. It sounds as if you are ready for some sort of fight. I will see you there. Jawohl (talk) 22:39, 5 April 2008 (UTC)]

Thanks for you reply, regards Jawohl (talk) 08:16, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've reduced the ban (effective immediately) to 7 days. Rudget (review) 15:17, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please advise.

Hi again. Noting what just happened to User:Jawolh re: topic ban, I would like your advice on how to proceed in my own edits on Kosovo:

  • I listed 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence per your suggestion. It was declined by admin User:Stifle, who when asked to reconsider, requested more information, then said it was too much information, and suggested relisting it.
  • I did. To my chagrin, it elicited a response from admin User:Auburnpilot who does not see enough activity there, but suggested blocking me and User:Tocino as (the only two) parties responsible for the International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence ongoing full page protection, and the request for protecting this article. Why should he block two articles, if he can block two editors instead, he asks. This is unfair, and makes no inquest in the nature and quality of the content being introduced or removed on the Wikipedia.

I certainly don't want to be banned or blocked, or even topic banned, especially for maintaining factual content in articles & participating in reasoned persuasion on merit, on talk pages and in the Prishtina Manual of Style RFC. It looks as though just asking for intervention is dangerous. Best not to get involved at all. Is that the moral?

As to meritorious edits, much of these articles come from my keyboard. And I have been editing on WIkipedia for a number of years, with thousands of edits in the main space on a variety of subjects, never running afoul of any rules. However, contributing to the Kosovo diplomacy articles has placed me in a difficult spot. Admin Auburnpilot casually lets on in part, albeit generically, that I have failed to control myself. Do you agree with this assessment, being close to the issue? Your advice, please. --Mareklug talk 01:10, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Attack page policy

What does policy say about a user turning his page into an attack page [7]? I could find "keeping a list of enemies ... is not constructive or appropriate." on wp:attack page but I'm not sure If it applies to user pages or if user pages can be deleted speedily with the db-attack template. Wp:user could offer "Material that can be construed as attacking other editors, including the recording of perceived flaws." under list of not permitted material. The page is now slightly changed [8], but still includes the same elements of attacks on both individual Hungarian editors and general attacks. The other problem that this multiple times blocked (block log: [9]) editor who created the attack page is clearly intrested in promoting hatred towards Hungarians and encouraging others to harass or revert Hungarian editors in particular so the page itself is only part of the problem part of a larger pattern of edits. Hobartimus (talk) 11:09, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Husond, just wanted to touch base since I think we're crossing paths on this. I had just warned Tankred about the content of his userpage, but I see that you had already reverted it (and then been reverted in return). I think I got confused because when you reverted his userpage, I guess you forgot to put a corresponding note on his talkpage. Anyway, as things stand now, I've strongly encouraged Tankred to refactor his own page. If he doesn't, I was going to revert him myself (and block if there was further disruption). But if you think the page should just be reverted immediately, I won't complain.
I'm just now wading in, as an uninvolved admin, on what seems to be an ongoing dispute between Tankred, Tulkolahten, Nmate, and possibly others. Have you dealt with them before? If you have any insight, I'm listening.  :) --Elonka 01:06, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As an experiment, I have created a centralized page for discussion of these issues. You are welcome to participate, at User talk:Elonka/Hungarian-Slovakian experiment. Thanks, Elonka 07:05, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hiya, just following up, is this something that you'd like to be involved with? Or do you feel that you're too close to the subject matter? --Elonka 13:23, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually how Romanians write his name is important for the Romanian language wiki, but not English. The proper title of the page in English is how is name is spelled in English. Quale (talk) 05:19, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  1. The page is not protected.
  2. I don't have admin priviledges. If anyone would know about abusing admin priviledges, it would be you.
  3. I'm not reverting the move.
  4. If you have concerns about the page name, take them up on Talk:Mihai Suba where they belong. I don't think you'll find much support there, but that's the appropriate venue for your complaint.
  5. Where have you written "Mihai Şuba" in any article? Actually I've never seen you improve a single article in Category:Chess at all.
