Istanbul does not have a Mediterranean climate.
Please do not mislead the people. It has Temperate climate with continental and mediterranean influences. Due to the mediterranean influences summer is the direst season but there is no dry season in the summer as does occur in a mediterranean climate and due to the continental influences winter is cool to cold with common snowfall (It is snowing now as I am writing now and for four days).
