Re: "Wouldn't you be happier continuing to write articles rather than getting involved in meta (and meta-meta) aspects of the project?" Well, yes. I'm neither an ambitious politician, nor a hat-collector (I actually once refused a hat [rollbacker] which was offered to me). But, I see it as my civic duty to volunteer for service, considering that I feel prepared for the job, and that there should be enough candidates to choose from. Cheers. To Mitchell: I'd like to say that I do take insult at you calling me a hat collector. → Call me Hahc21 16:05, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
User:HJ Mitchell: I don't know anything about User:Hahc21, but don't think it is cool to blithely insult people for doing a lot of work. That kind of attitude is an example of what's wrong with Wikipedia and why people keep leaving; people feel envy and scorn rather than appreciation for their fellow volunteers. The lack of support could have been couched differently. II | (t - c) 20:14, 22 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
