February 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Category:American wine. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. It was my intention. I have been moving the articles to Category:United States wine and removed inappropriate categorizations. Gotox 22:29, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category:American wines[edit]

Categories are not moved without discussion. Please read WP:CFD for the process in moving a category. Please note that using American is correct. It matches the form used by all of the other wines by country categories. There is a CfD discussion to undo the changes you made. Vegaswikian 07:19, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bordeaux wine on German wiki[edit]

Howdy! On the Wine Project page you listed yourself as a volunteer translator for German. The Bordeaux wine article has been selected as the Wine Project Wine Improvement Drive article and the German version of the article has achieved Feature Article status on the German wiki. I was curious if you would be interested in assisting on the Bordeaux wine article and incorporating some of the info that helped get the German article up to FA. We don't need a word for word translation but there is obviously some good info that I'm sure the English article could use. Thanks! AgneCheese/Wine 15:13, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gipuzkoa[edit]

I note that on 22 March 2007 you played around with the title of the article Gipuzkoa. I have always seen the name as Guipuscoa in English publications, prior to 2000. See the 800 or so hits in Google books. I suspect that Gipuzkoa is closer to the original Basque pronounciation, but is there a reason that we are not using the common English spelling? --Bejnar 20:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
