A question regarding some articles you deleted a while ago
Hi Gogo Dodo, there is a couple of articles on German rugby players you deleted just over 2 years ago. I've recreated two of them but wonder whether they still qualify for deletion. Can you let me know before I create the rest? Its the players on the following template:

I noticed that a new user, BrianFairplay10 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), has been making edits that resemble ones that BrianTheVillain made under his old account. Example: Bclrocks's edit and BrianFairplay's edit. Could be a coincidence, but the username also seems kind of suspicious too. Question about "The Serenaders" page deletion
Heya - I'm totally fine with our band page on "The Serenaders" being deleted, but I was wondering what we needed to do to be significant. I read the bylaws about proving we're "notable" but are there any ideas on how we do become notable? If we have a published piece of music? Reviews in publications? Any help would be greatly appreciated - I've been a big fan of wikipedia for years, making edits wherever I can find time to help, and I've always dreamed of having a band on there. I now have a successful and professional band so I'm looking to get us documented on here. Thanks!

Semi or full protection?
Hi Gogo Dodo. Did you mean to do this? Two registered editors, Badkneesbear and SouthBuffaloRules, plus one IP editor, 80.195.95.86, have been engaged in a content dispute. I have successfully persuaded the two registered users to begin discussing matters on the talk page but the IP won't say a word, just keeps reverting. I hope to facilitate some sort of an agreement to clean up the article and source it properly, and I was rather pleased to have gotten the two registered editors talking. I think that full protection is overkill at this time and might be counterproductive. Could we try semi and see if things work out? Thanks. Rivertorch (talk) 06:40, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think I would prefer to leave it as full protection. I think the full protection is best as it prevents either side from making any edits and having the perception that the anonymous IP is in the wrong since they are locked out of editing while the registered users are not. Full protection implies a neutral stand on who is right or who is wrong. I noticed that you have been trying to mediate the issue. I'm glad that have and wish you the best with it. - Thanks for replying so quickly. My thought was that the two registered users' willingness to use the talk page justified extending AGF a little further to them, but I'll trust your judgment. - It is very encouraging that the two registered users are willing to talk while the IP is only willing to make snarky comments. But like I said, it is a perception thing. I don't want to allow either side to feel that they have the upper hand since one party is locked out. Or have one party feel like they are wrong because they got locked out. Or vice verse with one party feeling they are right because they can edit, while the other can't. Hopefully something can be worked out soon. Stupid question about a deleted article's re-creation like Justin Munos
Hello, I noticed you deleted Justin Munos. When its editor re-created it, you deleted before I could re-tag it. On the editor's talkpage I noticed you gave it a Create2 warn. My question stems from the triangle used by the Speedy Delete pre-canned message (which can be seen above your warning). Whenever I see that triangle I interpret it as a level three type warn, i.e., Create3. However, I have noticed that some Page Patrollers will go down to Create1 on a re-creation. Mount Oral
Hello,
I am messaging you concerning the Mount Oral article you seem so fervent on deleting. I am unsure if my post on the talk page made it through or not, considering your incessant ban hammer swinging, but I gave many good reasons why that page should be granted time to prove itself. Just is case you didn't get them, I will give you some more indubitably good reasons. Yes, we know that most of the rumors on the original page aren't true, but neither are the ones about big foot, and yet he has a page! Mount Oral is an actual speed bump located at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. We intended to get pictures uploaded to the article to prove it, but we didn't manage to do that in the 45 seconds of the articles life. Many incoming freshman have the unfortunate meeting with Mount Oral at least once in their early months, and so it is a widely talked about topic. Any car with a 9" or less clearance is doomed if it crosses paths with the mount. The rumors/stories were created by the men of Brigade, dorm: Wesley, floor: 7. There, it is common for random things to be discussed in "Alcove talks" (Wiki article coming soon. Or do I smell another ban hammer. Do you yell out "By the power of Odin, I smite thee!" when you swing that sucker? I can definitely see that... You do seem a bit ban happy...) Around 3 AM one fateful night, the topic switched to Mount Oral and the havoc it brings upon the local populous, and then thoughts on it's past. Crazy stories were created that night. Then, the stories spread throughout the rest of the floor. Then the dorm. Then half of the school. So while everyone knows that these stories are untrue, it's still a widely loved topic. Like Bigfoot. Or the Star Wars universe. Or Cthulhu. Anyway, Mount Oral is a very popular topic at Oral Roberts University. There's even a Facebook group about it for Heaven's sake! Plus, there was a disclaimer on the bottom of the page that clearly stated that most of the rumors have very little factual evidence. Thus, I think you should permit Mount Oral's page to be restored, until such a time that other credible sources may prove such an object still exists. As you can see, I think you should wait to swing Mjolnir until we can actually get an established list of contributors. So please, allow us to recreate the page, with a disclaimer, and we'll be very happy. We're not /b/. We're not here to lower credibility. We're here to write an article about something so popular, over forty thousand people know of its existence.

First, I would like to talk about Mount Oral. You said I need a third-party source. Would that be a book that references to it? Or a direct quote from the president of Oral Roberts University? Or every single student at the college calling it that ( A student body of 8,000)? What is the number of people that use or know of a term/landmark before it is allowed it's own article? I did not make up the name for Mount Oral, as it has been around since the 70's. The article contained factual information about the landmark that is almost as popular as the Praying Hands. (There is currently no wiki article about it, but I would be scared to start one as it would have a very short life.) The "Rumors" section was in there, referring to things that have been said about Mount Oral. If this violated the T&S in anyway, it can/will be removed for the sake of the article. While I am not able to instantaneously quote articles or guidelines in my defense as you are, I will argue it until the bitter end. And yes, I do know that doesn't have the cleanest sound to it, but, as the campus is Oral Roberts University, I think we can all guess that the name is purely clean in nature.

I am not complaining. And I told you multiple times that I would strike the "facts" from the article, but you insist on merely reading what you wish, and not what I say. You say you're being lenient and responding to my joking comments seriously? How about my serious questions? What exactly do I NEED for reliable sources? I read the article, and am still slightly confused. It is indeed a landmark written about in a publication, but not in very many. I wasn't mocking or attempting in anyway to be an arrogant arse (well, slightly at first). I was asking serious questions that you refuse to answer. As far as I'm aware, it actually has. I know of at least two publications that refer to it at length. It might not be in the New York Times by any means, but it has been discussed in third-party articles.
As far as page length goes: It would be expounded upon. It is rather short now, but it would quickly be increased with pictures, information, etc.

Wikipedia admin vandalizing my page!

- There appears to be a misunderstanding. I believe that 45g is talking about me. I'm the Encyclopedia Dramatica user known as "JuniusThaddeus". Nevertheless, I'm not a sysop here, and I don't abuse multiple accounts. I created the User:JuniusThaddeus account in order to prevent impersonation. A troll stole my username and pretended to be me on Bulbapedia, so I have the right to protect myself from impersonation here as well. As seen here, I already marked User:JuniusThaddeus with Template:Doppelganger, so I'm not trying to deceive anyone. I've never used the JuniusThaddeus account to edit. If 45g believes that I'm abusing multiple accounts, then he ought to start a sockpuppetry investigation and provide evidence.
- It should also be noted that 45g was the one who started the conservation on ED. If anything, 45g probably started the conservation in order to lure me into a trap. As seen here, I've never defaced 45g's talk page. He probably left you that message in order to get me banned.
- It would probably be helpful for you to know 45g's motivation for targeting me and User:Snaisybelle. As seen on my talk page, 45g makes references to ED's "Grace Saunders" article. I believe that 45g is Grace Saunders. User:Snaisybelle is a contributor to the Grace Saunders article, and Grace has a grudge against her. I recommend that you read Snaisybelle's ED talk page. Grace left several messages for her there.
- Can you also take a look at the vandalism done to User:Snaisybelle and User_talk:Snaisybelle, including the deleted revisions? On February 19, 2010, User:DMacks deleted User:Snaisybelle and User_Talk:Snaisybelle. On that same day, User:DMacks gave 45g a warning for vandalism. There may be a connection between User:45g and those vandals. You should look into that.

Active Banana
I know that the article Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010 is out of your league, but I want you to pay close attention to user Active Banana (talk · contribs), who seems to be doing a pseudo-edit war in the article. Mainly, he removes all contestant profiles from the article, citing what he thought is WP:OR and even using WP:BLP to justify for the removal of the sections. And he does them with putting his concerns first on the talk page. I don't know where he's from, but I'm sure that he is from the Philippines, where the show is aired. Furthermore, the profiles are taken up from both the official website and the show itself. We just can't provide third-party sources on those profiles for the moment, but that's for later. I know Active Banana had been lectured in being a deletionist in his talk page before, but I think he didn't take that reminder.
Also, he seems to stand his ground and seems to boisterous. This is why I don't want to deal with this guy directly. Instead I'm asking help from you admins for an impartial view. The article did claim that the band is Mongolia's first hip hop band, and as such, it of course received coverage. So I'd claim that this article did have a claim to notablity (as had the recently deleted article on Nomin talst). Given the extreme rarity of background information even on Mongolian bands that EVERYBODY in Mongolia knows, it is hard to reinstall the article without very proper references. Had it not been deleted, earning it a right to be maintained would be easier. So this lighthearted deleting is basically destroying the availability of precious (underreferenced) information. I understand that this is a company, but what I dont understand is tat other companies for example Garrad Hassan exist on wikipedia, can you please explain me the difference. Also regarding WindieTM, which was deleted, it is the same as WindSim, just a more up to date version of a CFD code.

Wikitube
Wikitube deletion is a fine case of "wikipedia gestapoism." It was speedy deleted before I could even contest it -- I wrote it... looked away. Came back not even 10 min later I noticed I had mail. Went to add the contest notice... it was gone. So I re-added the wikitube entry with the the objection to speedy deleted. You used the fact that the other admin had deleted it as a way to get around my right to contest the speedy deletion... I just wanted to point out yet another case of "wikipedia gestapoism" and how small groups of admins working together can in essence "control" Wikipedia using this simple technigue. This is why professionals like myself don't even bother to waste our time writing articles on Wikipedia anymore. Your red deletion pen may be deleting stuff that might, if you actually stopped and thought for a second, might actually improve Wikipedia. However, the article was either deleted because your company did not meet the notability guidelines for companies for inclusion on Wikipedia or was purely promotional. Miley Cyrus Controversies deletion
Hello,
I recently noticed that you deleted an article I created earlier today, Miley Cyrus controversies, on grounds of "A10: Recently created article that duplicates an existing topic".
It is my understanding that a similar article was recently created, and this was the reason for the deletion. However, after further reading of Wikipedia:CSD, it is implied that if the new article "expands upon, details or improves information", it might be eligible to remain here. I couldn't find any version of the other recently-created page to know how well it was written and what sources it used, so I can't compare my version and the 'dupe' one. In my opinion, the version I created had proper reliable sources and accurate information.
I'd appreciate it if you reconsider, or even perhaps let me know if the article would have been accepted if there wasn't a different article that was recently created (and deleted) about the same topic. If that's the case, I'm sure there's a way to solve it.

Speedy Deletion of DJ Surge-N discography
I noticed you removed the CSD from DJ Surge-N discography because the musician's page exists, I just wanted to mention that the musician's page is currently listed on the AfD's and seems likely to be deleted due to lack of notoriety. It seems likely that, without a CSD, DJ Surge-N discography will have to go through the same AfD process in order to be deleted for the same reason the musician's page is likely to be deleted. I can understand waiting for the musician's page to be deleted first, but it seems this would be an example of WP:SNOW at that point. I've done some google searches on the musician myself and there isn't a single google news result. I realize your an admin, I just wanted to point out that it seems the deletion of this page is a forgone conclusion if/when the musician's page is deleted and wanted to bring that to your attention. ialsoagree (talk) 06:01, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Sir, (Ma'am?) I completely understand that you have a job to do, and that you probably have no regard for the circumstances surrunding the creation of the page you just deleted. But please hear me out. The first thing I wish to state is that I can assure you that "Spencer Tiberius Hall" will in no way be disgruntled or upset about a Wikipedia page being constructed to make fun of his past failures. He would applaud it, in fact. He is my best friend, and it is our current life goal to jibe the other in the most potent way possible. We and our circle of friends use Wikipedia every day for various things, and to get him on your website that we respect so much (and since he just got me using our school's email network to send a certain picture to every single student and faculty member on campus) would hit harder than a herd of steroid-enhanced elephants. We would love it. If you could let this page stand, you would be fuelling the fire of our friendship. - In order for an article about your band to remain on Wikipedia, the band must meet the notability guidelines for musical acts for inclusion on Wikipedia. Your reason for deletion of Purple City Production is very questionable and apparently opinionated. The page Purple City Production was created with the guidelines taken into consideration and the significance of the company was stated in the article. I find other pages that are ridiculous by comparison in reference to information and the significance of it. Please provide more information other than a link to a page that obviously didn't help us in the first place.

Hello and thank you for your recent feedback on our comments to Eclipse Award.
Several years ago we entered a description of our company and the work that we do - our company called Eclipse Awards is now in our 12th year of business. We realize that Wikipedia is not for promoting companies, however we are also very active in terms of sustainability and community building in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside (where we are located). We would like to profile some of this information on Wikipedia as we believe we are making real social change in one of North America's most challenging communities.
However, there is also another event called the Eclipse Award - which is a horse racing award. They seem to have claimed this space on Wikipedia.
How can we enter any of our own information, not on their profile? Any assistance you provide would be appreciated! Thank you.

Your Apparently Biased and Arbitrary Deletion of Valuable Content
Gogo Dodo,
Please explain your reasons for deleting my entry of the online calculator Sooeet.com to the Wikipedia page entitled "Comparison of Online Calculators" [[25]], a Wikipedia page that compares several online calculators.
My addition to that page is simply another quite useful and very good online calculator, and my addition fits perfectly well within the topic of the page, which is a point by point comparison of online calculators.
Your deletion can be easily construed as blatant favoritism towards the other online calculators being compared on that Wikipedia page.
Therefore, I would ask that you kindly allow my addition to that page, or otherwise provide a very good reason why you have chosen to delete my entry.
Please post your reply on your own talk page so that all Wikipedia users and editors can read your reply to this post.

I was not biased against your particular calculator an in fact, I question the entire list of Comparison of online calculators since none of them appear to have any specific article about them and therefore may not meet the notability criteria. Therefore, as you read the following statement, please note that the first half speaks to your deletions of my posts on the Wikipedia page entitled "Comparison of Online Calculators", which you already retracted in your post above, so I thank you for reconsidering that position. However, I noticed that you did not undo your deletions on that page. I prefer that you undo your own deletions, so that we do not revisit this topic again as a result of misunderstanding. Also, please reconsider your position on the Wikipedia page entitled "Miles Per Hour" [29]. The second half of the following statement speaks to that.
- [This is the matter you retracted above] You claim that your deletion of my post of the online calculator Sooeet.com [[30]] on the Wikipedia page entitled "Comparison of Online Calculators" [[31]] was not biased. However, you did not delete any of the other online calculators that are also posted on that page, even though my post is materially the same as all the other posts on that page (i.e. a factual description and comparison of the features of a viable online calculator.) Therefore, by definition, you arbitrarily chose to delete my post, and to leave all the other similar posts active on the page. That is, again by definition, clear and profound bias on your part.

I am glad you mentioned it, because that is another clear case of bias on your part. Both external links are materially identical (i.e. they both point to external online calculators that are not part of the main article, and yet both online calculators are indeed pertinent to the topic of the article). However, you deleted mine and chose to leave the other external link active on the page.
- If you are following Wikipedia publishing guidelines, you must do so fairly across the board, and apply those guidelines equally to all posts on the same page. You cannot casually delete some posts, while allowing other materially identical posts to remain on the page. Doing so, by definition, is arbitrary, unfair, and clearly biased. Therefore, again I ask that you kindly either (a) allow my posts, or (b) apply your guidelines equally to all posts. In the case of the two Wikipedia pages I mentioned, that means that you must either allow my posts, or remove all other similar posts in addition to removing my posts.
- I cannot stress the importance of this issue enough. It speaks directly to the value of Wikipedia as an unbiased source of information. If editors, such as yourself, are allowed to make casual, arbitrary, unilateral, and highly biased judgments upon the Wikipedia content, then the entire value of Wikipedia as an impartial, and therefore trustworthy source of information, must be deeply questioned!
- Undo of your deletion, based upon your retraction

Neither did you allow my entries of Sooeet.com in other sections of the article.
- Again, I must point out that your new edits of my post are arbitrary and clearly biased. Please observe that there are several calculators in that article that have reference links, and that several calculators have been added to multiple sections of the article, for example: (1) Calc5, (2) web2.0calc, and (3) WolframAlpha. Those three calculators appear in multiple sections, and they all have reference links. However, you did not remove the multiple entries of those calculators, nor their reference links, but you chose to arbitrarily remove my entries and my reference links.
- Consequently, by definition, you engaged once again in blatant and egregious bias when you edited my post, although you may have done so inadvertently. However, it must be a serious violation of Wikipedia rules to engage in repeated and egregious bias in editing, especially when that bias is directed at the posts of a particular user. Therefore, I ask you kindly once again: If you choose to apply a Wikipedia rule to my posts, please apply exactly the same rule to all other posts in the same article. In this case, to be fair and equitable in your editing, you should take one of the following actions: (a) Remove all multiple entries of all calculators that have multiple entries, and remove all reference links from all calculators, or (b) Allow multiple entries and reference links on all the calculators in the article.
- Your examples are not applicable. Calc5, web2.0calc, and Wolfram Alpha are listed in two tables: General-purpose calculators and Graphing calculators because those three offer graphing capabilities. You, on the other hand, listed your website on two different tables. I happen to agree with the other editor above that listing the site three times was not appropriate. Instead of continuing this conversation here, I recommend that you bring up the issue of inclusion on the article talk page. - I prefer to continue our discussion here, as this matter concerns much more than the article "Comparison of Online Calculators". The matter also involves, much more importantly, the larger issues of (a) The ethical standards of editors at Wikipedia, and (b) Whether or not Wikipedia is an unbiased source of information, or rather has become the province of authoritarian and dictatorial editors.
- The examples I gave are indeed relevant to the matter at hand, as I shall explain. The taxonomy[[36]] of the article is exceedingly clear. As the table of contents clearly indicates, there are two main categories: (1) General-purpose calculators, and (2) Special-purpose calculators. The second category has three subcategories. Sooeet.com clearly fits into both main categories, as do the other calculator examples I gave. Furthermore, Sooeet.com also clearly fits into subcategories 2.2. and 2.3.
- That is why Sooeet.com should have entries in all of the tables where I initially posted it.
- Whether or not the calculators in this article appear in more than one table should not be a matter of Wikipedia's "spam" policy, but rather a matter of the obvious taxonomy and original intent of the article, and of the particular functions and features of the calculators that appear in the article.
- By arbitrarily excluding Sooeet.com from multiple tables, you are making an unfair and flawed judgment; a judgment which does not fit the taxonomy or the intent of the article. Furthermore, by arbitrarily excluding Sooeet.com from the reference links, a benefit that other calculators in the article clearly enjoy, you are making a second and similar error.
- Therefore, I ask you kindly once again, that you allow my original post to this article, in its original form, with entries in the three tables where Sooeet.com clearly belongs according to the taxonomy and intent of the article, and including reference links, as do other calculators in the article.
- There really isn't anything further to discuss. We disagree on if it should be included or not. Resolution will be through input by other interested editors , which will not likely to happen on my talk page. (Another editor did comment on the situation above, but that is an unusual situation).
