I wanted to check with you before putting this up for rename... Would you consider Category:Proposed Username Blocks? The Wikipedia part seems slightly cumbersome. If that looks ok, reply here and I'll dump it into speedy renames at WP:CFD. BTW - I edited the category page slightly because the way you had it created a circular categorization because the template on that page put the category into the category itself. --Syrthiss 20:13, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay that's fine. If you do change it be sure to also change the template so it matches.--God Ω War 20:15, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, thats all part of the process. :) --Syrthiss 20:18, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User:God of War/Tyranny and Fascism - Past and Present[edit]

I've closed the second mfd on this user sub page of yours. However, I would like to make an appeal to you. Do you think it best serves the encyclopedia for you to have this page hosted on its web-servers? I do not need a response, I ask the question only in the hope you will consider the point. Happy editing! Steve block talk 21:10, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you just ignore it then it won't bother you. I have obfuscated the link to it on my main page as this is for my own use anyway and was not ready for everyone to tell just what they think about it.--God Ω War 23:49, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • You misread me, I have not stated that I am bothered by the page. I would rather you considered the point I was actually making: "Do you think it best serves the encyclopedia for you to have this page hosted on its web-servers?" Steve block talk 10:22, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you look at...[edit]

Utterly unrelated, but this one has me stumped, NPOV? Bacon and egg pie Admittedly I was a bit sarcastic on the talk page. I'd appreciate it if you could have a look foer me. Alex Law 04:50, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • It seems the tag has been removed. I don't see any NPOV problems, however I do have to question the notablity of a pie.--God Ω War 16:48, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Barnstar Userbox[edit]

Dear God of War, I Have made some revisions to your Userbox Barnstar. I've gone and made an image for it and made it an official barnstar. you can view the barnstar image at . and also, for your outstanding work as part of wikiproject userboxes, i'd like to present you with your very own.

This user has been awarded a userbox barnstar for their work designing new userboxes.

Barnstar, OTR & PUA Review[edit]

FYI. You may want to look and comment here: Wikipedia:Barnstar and award proposals/Proposed Changes. For your reference, the guidelines are referenced here: Barnstar Proposal Guidelines. Thanks -- evrik 18:19, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox technical solution[edit]

Your proposal to disable "what links here" sounds technically messy, and might be vulnerble to circumvention. A cleaner solution would be to add a form of page locking which did not lock the page, but disabled "what links here". So any admin could disable "what links here" for any page (or maybe restrict it by namespace). Admins could still use "what links here", thus allowing them to subst: templates too. To make this a reality, the easiest solution is to simply make a patch & submit it to MediaWiki. Don't claim its "the" solution, just claim its one obvious & simply solution. And that many wikis, but not necissarily wikipedia, would use it if made available. Once its already in the code, you just have to campaign to get it turnned on. Don't add nonsense[edit]

I don't know what you were trying to do here, but please don't do it again. Faking a conversation with yourself and not signing it is very confusing and possibly disruptive. If you don't take these matters seriously that is your perogative, but please don't mess it up for the rest of us. Thank you. --Cyde Weys 04:36, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's called satire, Cyde.--God Ω War 06:04, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found this interesting.[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MarkSweep

What do you make of it? Coolgamer 23:38, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Umm, it's a userpage. What am I looking for?--God Ω War 02:20, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a way to contact you? I don't want to spoil it for everyone. Coolgamer 16:32, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My email address is working.--God Ω War 18:03, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate use of userpage[edit]

I notice that you're using your userpage to advertise an external website as a way of getting around Foundation-approved removal of defamatory and other illegal content on Wikipedia. This is not an acceptable use of Wikipedia userspace and in my opinion it could well expose Wikipedia to legal liability for the content. Please remove it. --Tony Sidaway 15:24, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • There is nothing new on my userpage that isn't already mentioned in the wikitruth article. Restating information from the articles is not a liability.--God Ω War 18:01, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Buzz off Tony, nobody wants to hear the party line. Wikipedia is not the Soviet Union. --Dragon695 21:56, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

in answer to your question[edit]

Found this article on wikitruth. (See how censorship doesn't work?) Looked extremely neutral to me. All statements were referenced. TIME has an article they published with her in it. Are you telling me that wikipedia can't report on current events? How absurd.--God Ω War 05:01, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you can give a cite for where TIME has reported on this alleged name, then please do so.--Jimbo Wales 17:25, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Crystal Gail Mangum on Wikipedia[edit]

I agree that Crystal Gail Mangum's name should be here and elsewhere because:

Irrespective of what other people say, Tom Leykis is a reliable and credible source.
Apparently, the local Releigh CBS affiliate released her name
Rape is a crime of violence, not passion or sex, so why is it shielded?
The accuser is free to stand behind the wall of law and anonymously charge rape against anyone she pleases.
If a Google search is a test, try http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22crystal+gail+mangum%22&btnG=Google+Search

I know I'm preaching to the choir.

Spelling Error[edit]

Interested is spelled wrong on your userpage ;)

Amen on Wikitruth[edit]

God, gotta hand it to you, you summed up my feelings exactly! I shall be putting that notice on my userpage as well. I'm thinking a userbox might be in order, too. --Dragon695 21:55, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

wrong[edit]

I obviously had you pegged wrong. I thought you were a reasonable guy with strong opinions. But posting private correspondance on an open forum, without even having the civility to reply to it first is beneath contempt. I want nothing further to do with you. --Doc ask? 23:44, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First of all on the web forum I agreed to stop making fun of her looks and encouraged others to do so also.

Second, don't write anything you don't want published.--God Ω War 05:06, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes[edit]

Hey, I'm having trouble with my userboxes. I'm trying to put three groups of them all on the right side, one after the other, but it's not working. I was referred to you by Brian1979... can you help?--BigShock 18:20, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot. I can't believe I didn't think of doing that--BigShock 22:36, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinion?[edit]

I'm thinking, as a fellow userbox supporter (at least that's my assumption of you anyway, haha), you might want to see this. I'll let it speak for itself.--Pilot|guy 19:41, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, just look at WP:TFD. The whole damn userbox section might as well be on there. --Pilot|guy 21:07, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've gotten out of the userbox wars. It's nothing more than a big waste of time and the other side cheats anyway.--God Ω War 22:22, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
