Marcel Vertès[edit]

Hi. Please do not add claims that this individual is/was Jewish without providing reliable sources. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:31, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To add to Lugnuts' request above, the guiding policies with regard to the inclusion and categorization of religion and ethnicity in biography articles is WP:BLPCAT for living individuals and WP:CATDEF for others. Please also review WP:EGRS if you intend to work in this area (which appears to be your main focus). Thank you, -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:40, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The source (and it is reliable) the Hungarian Wikipedia and the Hungarian Jewish Lexicon from 1929. See page 947. http://mek.oszk.hu/04000/04093/html/0955.html.--Gklein2018 (talk) 17:00, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a reliable source regardless of the language (see WP:USERGENERATED). The second link you provided is 404 and cannot be used; perhaps something was left off when you cut and pasted the link?-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:07, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree about the Wikipedia as a reliable source but the Hungarian Jewish Lexicon http://mek.oszk.hu/04000/04093/html/ from 1929 and now online is very reliable. See about Marcel Vertes (in Hungarian, sorry) page 947 down:http://mek.oszk.hu/04000/04093/html/0955.html. --Gklein2018 (talk) 05:21, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you added the source to the article now. Thank you! -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:03, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Moshe Jakobovits, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chief (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:35, 8 May 2020 (UTC
