Hi, I tagged the The Goners article for speedy deletion, according to the A7 criteria. The subject of your article seems not to have enough notability (yet ;)) to be included in Wikipedia. Don't worry, this is a common mistake among newcomers ;). See WP:NOT and WP:MUSIC for more information. As a side note, creating an article about yourself is often considered a bad idea. Really sorry about the confusion. -- lucasbfr talk 12:22, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not change the film project Goners into an article for the non-notable band, as indicated above. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 22:44, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Tony jones and the cretin 3 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Battleaxe9872 20:20, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Tony jones and the cretin 3, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Empty Buffer (talk) 17:13, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tony Jones[edit]

In reviewing the deletion request, I see that you're claiming the band is notable, but I'm not finding sources to back up those claims. I've moved the article to User:Geegee123/Tony jones and the cretin 3 so that you can have time to spruce it up.

Take a few minutes to carefully read Wikipedia:MUSIC#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles, then add some sources independent of the band that show at least one of those criteria is met. (I'm going to guess that WP:COI might be good for you to read, also.) When you think the article is ready and properly sourced, drop me a note or request that the page be unprotected at Wikipedia:Requests_for_page_protection#Current_requests_for_unprotection.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 20:59, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Draft:Tony Jones, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://pickitandpinit.com/wikipedia-talkarticles-for-creationaaa-bail-bonds-lawton-oklahoma/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Your draft article, Draft:Tony Jones[edit]

Hello, Geegee123. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Tony Jones".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Tony Jones}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:18, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
