List of Ang Probinsyano episodes reconstruction

Since Ang Probinsyano (season 1) and other season articles have been created, all of the List of Ang Probinsyano episodes should be moved to their appropriate seasons. I have been converting season 1 to the {{Episode list}} format so they can be transcluded. I've also removed the hashtags as they are all formatted the same (#FPJAPTimbog for example is #FPJAP plus Timbog) and add no value to the episode listings. Having certain episode numbers be bolded or with extra periods is also useless. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:04, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

I appreciate the effort ypu've put into it AngusWOOF. I reverted your earlier edits because I was thinking that the formats for the episodes page and the seasons page should be different. In my view, the episode list on the season page should contain the plot description of the episodes while the episodes page shall contain the twitter hashtags, since the use of the hashtags actually denote the episode name.

That is but a suggestion. However, since we are both after the same end, that is to provide an enyclopaedic entry for the show, I'll defer to whatever you decide to do with the episodes. Thank you. Gardo Versace (talk) 18:19, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi User:AngusWOOF!

I ran into a problem with a page I created, Ang Probinsyano (season 7). It relates to how the episodes as listed in the Season 7 page is rendered in the List of Ang Probinsyano episodes page. Like the other seasons in the show, it used to render well in the latter page. However, I discovered recently a problem wherein the episodes as listed in Season 7 do not render in the episodes page. In fact, to keep up the semblance of season 7 content in the episodes page, we had to copy and paste the entire code for the episodes in season 7 in the episodes page. I have tried my best to solve the problem, but to no avail. That's why implored your help. Hoping for your kind assistance on the matter.

Can you verify if this edit might be correct? Because somebody just changed it recently, but I've reverted it back to your version prior to the edit a while ago. Thanks for reverting the edits made by the user User:Kazu parungao. I've actually had a problem with said user over the constant edits he makes which should not be made at all. The changes the user wants to make is adequately addressed in the note attached to the characters' names, thus making the user's edits redundant. I would have also reverted the changes thus I thank you for doing the same.

Plot

List of Ang Probinsyano guest stars

Hello and greetings from Germany. I am currently reviewing lists of guest stars for their suitability on en.wiki. In the past few weeks, all (to my knowledge) WP:AFDs on guest star lists ended in deletion or redirection to character lists on the ground that guest star listings are rarely ever notable (WP:LISTN, WP:NOTDIR). Now, I found the well-sourced List of Ang Probinsyano guest stars and see you are a major contributor. I am aware of systemic bias on wikipedia, so I want to ask you first if the list is the common case of "some unknown actors got hired to appear in a shortlived story arc", "actors in a recurring or longer-story capacity", or even Filipino celebrity guest stars? This would help in deciding if the list should be deleted/transwikied, renamed, pruned, or be kept as it is. – sgeureka ^t•c 13:15, 14 January 2020 (UTC)

Okay, in this case I consider it best to rename it to something like List of Ang Probinsyano cast members (similar to List of The Bold and the Beautiful cast members), and add a brief "Main" actor list at the top. That would give it a much better reason of existance than the "is this notable enough for inclusion" claim of guest stars. Are you alright with my rename proposal, or should I start a proper {{rename}} proposal? @Sgeureka: I propose an alternative, we can rename it List of Ang Probinsyano guest characters. The proposed name "List of Ang Probinsyano cast members" is already the subject of Ang Probinsyano's main page here on Wikipedia. It likewise becomes identitcal in name to List of Ang Probinsyano characters. In both pages, the listing of characters always contains a listing of the chractefs who played them in the series. We opted to separate the guest cast from the main and supporting cast of the show because of the sheer number of the guest cast/guest characters. Gardo Versace (talk) 16:23, 14 January 2020 (UTC)

It is the word "guest" that is the problem here, because it means "one (short) time only and probably not notable enough to be mentioned on en.wiki". A "Guest characters" list will almost certainly be deleted (see AfD1, AfD2, because they are even less notable than "guest stars". It's possible to name the list "Recurring" though. The current format would be List of recurring cast members in Ang Probinsyano, but there is no real television precedent for such a list as per [2]. List of recurring Ang Probinsyano characters would be okay, but then the format should be changed to "Character played by actor". Another possible and easy alternative is to merge back the list to List of Ang Probinsyano characters#Guests and remove all the non-notable actors. List of Ang Probinsyano cast members still seems like the best and most common option to me. Anyway, I will think about this for a while and maybe ask at WP:TV for more input. But they might announce it on ASAP, thry usually have this big farewell for Teleseryes when they are on their last week on ASAP and then announce which teleserye will replace the soon to be ending series. @Gardo Versace: Thanks for the response. I kinda find it odd when a show is on its final 2 weeks and there's no trailer for an upcoming show. Usually, a full trailer for an upcoming show would be released 3-4 weeks before its premiere. That's based on my observation. Anyway, I saw a few trailers for Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin in EJ Salut's IG a few days ago. With an indication that it's near its premiere, it could be a sign that it will replace Sandugo. @Superastig: I saw those trailers too on Twitter and I find it odd too that there wasn't an airdate mentioned in the posts. But the trailer dropped earlier tonight said it would premiere on March 23, 2020. That's the Monday after March 20, 2020 which is the finale of Sandugo. @Isaidnoway: Good day! I'm honestly going to need some help on that one. Problem first popped up almost a year ago, the fix I did was to give the same reference different names since there's one reference there that's used in multiple subheadings. Then, the problem reared its head again after I tried switching the notes format to a format similar to what you did on The Killer Bride. I tried my hand at fixing it last night, but I ran into a brick wall with it. I badly want to fix it, sadly I am at a loss for ideas on how exactly to fix the problem. Hello GV. Just so you know this is not the way to ask for a page to be protected. To do that you have to file a request at WP:RFPP. Your placing that template on an article does not protect it and it can still be edited by anyone. Also a bot or another editor has to go through and remove those templates to clean up the Category:Wikipedia pages with incorrect protection templates so please don't place anymore of those templates in article space. Good day everyone! I have just seen that I have been blocked from editing at Wikipedia. I have not had any activity on Wikipedia since August 2020 because I have become busy at work and have not had the time to edit. I do maintain the account to check on the pages I used to edit every now and then. I do respect that it's the prerogative of our esteemed admins to block me, but I would have to appeal my block because, pardon for the term, it seems absurd for me to be blocked for sockpuppetry. Prior to being inactive, I was learning the ropes of through Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit/Academy under the wings of Cassiopeia. Even going further before that, I have been reporting activities of users suspected to be the sockpuppet of one Albe23413 for sockpuppetry. So it seems ironic that someone like me who has been crusading against sockpuppetry and is eager to learn the ropes on the ins and outs of Wikipedia would engage in sockpuppetry. Now I have checked the account in question, Gardo Versace 16. Bearing in mind that I have devoted myself to studying the guidelines of Wikipedia, it seems suspect that I'd be engaging in disruptive editing or vandalism such as the one that was made Diff/1018069636. My record at editing Ang Probinsyano and all its allied pages would speak for itself. I have poured my heart and soul into editing and enriching the pages associated with the show and the last thing I would do is to engage in such conduct. Also, again, bearing in mind that I am aware of the policy against sockpuppetry, why then would I use a similar name as an active account of mine if I knew it would lead to a block for sockpuppetry? NinjaRobotPirate, my blocking admin knows too well how I have been crusading against the sockpuppet activities of Albe23413 as it was he and Bbb23 that I turned to for help in blocking the sockpuppets of Albe23413, and I am beginning to think that this was a deliberate attempt by Albe23413 to malign me. For you see, I have looked into my supposed sockpuppet's activity. The first thing that Gardo Vesace 16 edited was a typhoon page as can be seen Special:MobileDiff/1018062550. Compare that to Diff/914155122. I rest my case our dear admins, especially to NinjaRobotPirate. There is no hard feelings, I understand you are just doing your job, and I commend you for that. If there's any request I'd be making though, it'd be as follows: 1. Please look into this as a possible attempt at maligning me; 2. Please note how my alleged sockpuppet's activities were disruptive and how mine was devoted to enriching the pages that were disruptively edited; and 3. How similar the activities outside of maligning me was. Note too, that never in the history of my account have I tried to edit a typhoon page, which is a documented activity of Albe23413 and his sockpuppets. NinjaRobotPirate When I was trying to tidy up the SPI a couple of days ago I saw that Drmies had tagged Gardo Versace's userpage as a suspected sock (diff), but hadn't blocked, and that GV hadn't edited since the tag. I assumed it was an oversight on Drmies' part (and that GV hadn't noticed the the account wasn't actually blocked) so pressed the button. Maybe Drmies can comment on the evidence he saw? Girth Summit, I would suggest you compare the activities of Ajhenson21 to that of Albe23413 and his sockpuppets. I am beginning to piece together what had happened here. I frequently report Albe23413's sockpuppets to NinjaRobotPirate. In the last time he was blocked, a protection was placed on the allied pages of Ang Probinsyano, hence he could not edit even if he tried to create another sockpuppet. When the protection was up, it coincided with my sabbatical from editing which left him free to edit for a couple of months until he was found out and he was reported and eventually blocked. Now he thinks I reported him again because of our past encounters. So he resolved to make an impersonation account to ensure I would myself be blocked for sockpuppetry. In his mind, that would make up for about 9 sockpuppets of him that I have reported as documented in

Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Albe23413 . The dead giveaway that this is Albe23413 we're dealing with is that he leaves no edit summaries, he always does episode titles, and he edits pages of actors who are cast in Ang Probinsyano. To drop the diffs here would entail an entire page, but I implore you to look into Ajhenson21 and Gardo Versace 16 as sockpuppets of Albe23413. As a last point though, you might want to look into how he speaks and how I do. Not that I am disparaging him, but there is a marked difference between how I speak and how Gardo Versace 16 speaks. The way he says "please unblock my accounts" was veey remiscent of how one of Albe23413's sockpuppets said it as can be seen here Diff/940076317. The sock I hadn't blocked was User:Shadzarie. I honestly can't remember why I tagged that user page, but it has to be because of Gardo Versace's earlier block for socking, and Ajhenson's edits--but that was just a suspicion. As NinjaRobotPirate suggests there is nothing to incriminate Gardo Versace, so let's lift that block, and let's clean up the SPI. Pardon for the phrase, but it's a very rookie mistake of his to assume that everyone would fall for the ruse that he and I are one and the same account. I have been actively trying to get Albe23413 and his sockpuppets to cease editing in violation of Wikipedia that's why I held no ill feelings when I was blocked for I knew you were only answering the call of your duty. Please do look into the activities of Albe23413 and compare them to that of Ajhenson21 and his sock Gardo Versace 16. I'd also like to suggest that a protection be put up on Ang Probinsyano and its allied pages. @MarioJump83: Thanks for the warm welcome. Sadly, yes. Here is an example of his deliberate attempt to frame me for sockpuppetry. What's funny here is that the user Jricaplaza wanted so bad to link me to Ajhenson21 as its sockmaster and yet the user itself was discovered to be sockpuppet of Ajhenson21. I believe it was revenge for all the times I've reported Albe23413 and his socks. I drew that conclusion because: 1. The activities and editing pattern between the two are very similar - both preferring to edit TV shows of ABS-CBN, with particular emphasis on Ang Probinsyano and its allied pages along with the pages of its cast and typhoon pages; and 2. I have never interacted with Ajhenson21 or any of his socks. So the fact that I became a target of such an attack from a user blocked for sockpuppetry led me to believe further that they are one and the same account. It's convenient for his attempt to get me blocked too, as his ploy coincided with my sabbatical from Wikipedia which meant I couldn't defend myself. Hoping something like this wouldn't happen again.
