Thanks for email, I'm just back from holiday, so it will be a couple of days before I can take a proper look. What are you aiming for — Just improving the article in general, or Good/Featured article status?
A couple of first thoughts
- The tone is a bit hagiographic in places — He is renowned for his innovative insights into the world of biological sequences. is presented as a fact, without any reference or comment
- I would query whether his honours and appointments should precede the work itself
- Journal titles should be italicised, and I also doubt that there is any point red-linking journal titles unless you are going to write articles for them
- There is a bit of MoS needs fixing, but I'll look in more detail when I get time

I'm still working through, edits so far. I think the main issues are more organisational than any serious problems with your very good English
- "unveiled multiple novel codes in biological sequences" — with no links or explanation, this is a bit daunting for a non-specialist to find in the lead
- I'm not sure the lead is adequate, but perhaps best to wait until the rest of the article is sorted
- I Still query whether his honours and appointments should precede the work itself. Presumably he received the honours and appointments as a result of his work, so they should follow that section
- "bp" is not linked or explained
- The sections after chromatin are not pretty, with multiple heading levels, very listy, little continuous prose. If all this needs to be there, you can either try to improve it yourself, or leave it to my tender mercies
- Just curious, what made you decide on American English for a Russian-Israeli biography?
