Hey, thanks for the "thank you" on that Amber Heard edit!

Honestly, I'm so conflicted on that line because it doesn't seem relevant or appropriate to include it in the lede for Amber's article, especially since the term "cancel culture" is so loaded and charged (and the topic of the article is already very controversial), and it feels like it leans away from keeping a neutral tone... but at the same time, there is a source for it (even if the source wasn't originally included).

I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on it. Afddiary (talk) 19:02, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your conflict. My issue with it is in line with yours. Does the Wikipedia community want to engage in fanning the flames of the cancel culture fire? Having a source doesn't reduce the weight of the term, which as you say is charged. People can deduce what they want from the article and their opinions, the rights to those being valid, don't take precedence over the goal of neutrality. Thank you for the update. I created a new page for this topic which was more appropriately named and it has since been published, so the deletion of that draft is not an issue. Thank you. FlederMaus9 (talk) 15:08, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
