Week7/ Yaruduan

Hello everyone,

I edited two article this week.

First one is Language shift. Here is the diff of my edit.

Summary: Language communities need to be transformed in various ways as the most dominant form of communication today. The history of languages varies from country to country. English as the most dominant language has largely enhanced the wave of communication, but many other languages have had to be replaced at developmental stages.

Second one is growth of religion. Here is the diff of my edit.

Summary: Since religion is inseparable from economics, one needs to consider the realities. The conduction of religion will be changed because of traditional ideas, and more importantly, the development of economy will bring about the change of religion. The performance of people dependent on religion also depends on the economic reality.

I think the overall experience gives me the pleasure of quoting. We can learn from the process of quoting by exploring different perspectives on the same topic. In the process, I found that all topics are worth exploring. I also discovered a lot of good articles and authors in the process. I can read and summarize topics of my own interest in the process. I will continue to use this way to edit wikipedia because I find it a good exercise of my patience and learning ability. I would recommend wikipedia to anyone who likes to read and write.

During this week, I edited luxury goods, here is the diff of my edit.

I also edited therapy dog, here is the diff of my edit.

I learned the various type of therapy dog were existed in the process of adding citations.

My overall experience of the Wikipedia assignment was positive. Prior to the assignment, my knowledge of Wikipedia was limited to searching for information. However, I have now gained the ability to modify articles. If I have any spare time in the future, I am inclined to continue editing on Wikipedia because it grants me a sense of gratification to know that I am able to assist others in accessing precise and valuable information. Week 7 / Yg2816

This week I inserted a picture taken by myself into the article Aspen, Colorado under the "Image" section. During the process, I learned how to upload an image and adjust its position to fit better with the surrounding text.

My overall feeling about this assignment was that I learned a lot of new skills, like looking at and using research articles from a different perspective, and going from being a Wikipedia reader to an editor. @FULBERT Hi Professor, just wanted to explain, the plate in the picture has the name of the restaurant "Casa Tua" printed on it. It is a well-known Italian restaurant in downtown Aspen, and it is not easy to make a reservation during the snow season. From my point of view, since the article mentions that "The downtown has been largely transformed into an upscale shopping district that includes high-end restaurants......" but it doesn't have any pictures of restaurants, thus, I guess my photo might add something to this article.
