Anne Rice Award

Anne Rice Award
The Anne Rice Award honors editors who have improved Wikipedia's coverage of women writers by creating a biography of a women writer who used a pen name, nom de plume, literary initials, or pseudonym on the title page or by-line of their works in place of their real name. On behalf of WP:WPWW, thank you for creating the biography on Elin Améen (pen names, EA, Elisa, Lina and Mn). --Rosiestep (talk) 22:35, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

To answer your question

Hello. You asked about grave dancing and the post in question is this one. Not very tactful, even though you said you were uncomfortable with the thread. Lugnuts certainly didn't like it as it inferred a pre-judgement of his demise as an editor. Anyway, I've said all I have to say and I'm going back to writing articles.

Btw, I don't entirely fear a red planet but it would be an unmitigated disaster if we ended up with a blue one. All the best. No Great Shaker (talk) 16:47, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

Lugnuts demise as an editor was judged at that point by him deleting his page. He cannot blame people for assuming he had left the project based on his actions. FOARP (talk) 18:42, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
PS - I will additionally note that this does not at all substantiate what you accused me of. FOARP (talk)

Hope I’m clear

Gymnastics qualifying is incredibly complicated, even under current rules. So, hopefully I explained it clear enough, I’m a bit lousy at explaining things even when I understand them perfectly. Honestly, most of those articles don’t really seem to pass the notability test, but I’m not an expert. Afheather (talk) 05:04, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

Meadow Oaks, Florida

Hi FOARP,

I think you might have confused the Meadow Oaks AFD with a different one; this discussion involves a verified current community, abet a non-notable one. BilledMammal (talk) 09:07, 15 February 2022 (UTC)

Thanks. Fixed. Yeah, the Meadow Oaks keep was also somewhat dubious. FOARP (talk) 09:10, 15 February 2022 (UTC)

India Census

Greetings. Was wondering if you could help me out. A while ago (sorry to be so unspecific) there were a bunch of articles created by a single editor on small communities in India. Initially, you either speedied or prodded them, since they were all solely sourced to a non-reliable source. Then you self reverted and added a link to the appropriate India census page, showing that they did indeed meet WP:GEOLAND. I come across this quite frequently during NPP, but for the life of me, I'm a bit dense and can't figure out how to search that database. I clicked on one of your ref links, and plugged the name of the entity into the search field, and it simply brings up the page which you referenced, not a new search result. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. But if I could learn how to use that tool, that would save a lot of time reverting/draftifying/prodding etc. articles which are poorly sourced and don't have any links to show it is an official place. Case in point is Jarjangi, which I came across today. If I could simply look it up in the census, I could simply add the source and mark it reviewed. Anyway, any help you could throw my way would be appreciated. Onel5969 TT me 11:35, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

If its a village with census data its probably inherently notable, as noted before most census places are notable and most villages are notable. Crouch, Swale (talk) 11:41, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
