Please see comments:
  • "with almost 200 years of heritage in helping people to plan and save for their future". This is promotional - please see WP:PEACOCK and WP:ADVERT.
  • "In 2018, Phoenix Group Holdings plc acquired the pensions and long term savings provider Standard Life...": the acquisition is already covered in the article and there is no need to repeat the description of Standard Life
  • "This followed a merger in March 2017 between Aberdeen Asset Management plc and Standard Life plc..." This is already covered in the article.
  • "In May 2021, Phoenix Group acquired the 'Standard Life' brand..." This is already covered in the article.
  • "The Phoenix Group continues to grow the pensions and long term savings business of Standard Life Assurance Limited and invest in the ‘Standard Life’ brand." This is again promotional.
  • "Standard Life Assurance Limited retains its operational headquarters in Edinburgh." The location of the headquarters is already covered in the article.
  • The list of managers clearly does contain extensive information: I am not sure what the problem is.

You have now added to same information four times despite having a conflict of interest and not securing consensus before adding the material. Please stop doing this. Dormskirk (talk) 14:39, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dormskirk Njd-de,

I'm trying to add the following information as the page needs to be updated with an up to date business information in order to reflect the current status. The information isn't being published. Could you please advise what I need to do in order to get it published?

2018 - 2021[edit] In 2018, Phoenix Group Holdings plc acquired the pensions and long term savings provider Standard Life Assurance Limited from Standard Life Aberdeen plc for £2.9 billion.[23] Standard Life Assurance Limited retains its operational headquarters in Edinburgh. Following the acquisition, the Phoenix Group used the ‘Standard Life’ brand under licence from Standard Life Aberdeen. In May 2021, Phoenix Group acquired the 'Standard Life' brand and in July 2021 Standard Life Aberdeen plc rebranded as ‘abrdn’.[25] Standard Life Brand Standard Life, is a long established brand in the UK financial services sector, originally in life assurance, now in pensions and long-term savings. The Standard Life brand (now owned by Phoenix Group) was first used in 1834, so has almost 200 years of heritage. The Standard Life brand has always been associated with the business of Standard Life Assurance Limited (and its subsidiaries) and is currently used by the Phoenix Group for its ‘open’ pensions, long-term savings and retirement business.

Hi - The facts that in 2018 Phoenix Group acquired the Standard Life business and that in 2021 Phoenix Group acquired the Standard Life brand are already covered in the article. The bit about Standard Life having almost 200 of heritage and the bit about the brand always having been associated with the Standard Life business sounds promotional to me and should not be included. There have been numerous attempts to include promotional material in this article already. Dormskirk (talk) 15:18, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Dormskirk.

Is it possible to refresh the current content on section 2018 - 2021. I have also edited the brand section reflecting your last comment. Would you feel comfortable with the below?

Hi - As already explained, the facts that in 2018 Phoenix Group acquired the Standard Life business and that in 2021 Phoenix Group acquired the Standard Life brand are already covered in the article. And the bit about the brand is unnecessary and is promotional. Dormskirk (talk) 22:07, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
