Primary sources[edit]

Per WP:PRIMARY, please try to find independent reliable sources to verify minor secular observances. Anyone could create a website right now that declares November 21 is "International Day of Stuff." There are quite a few of promotional "observances" that aren't recognize by any recognized authorities or reliable sources, but that might be picked up by aggregator sites. Was this meant for me? None of the International years I added did not have a primary source nor were they deleted from the lists. Unless this concerns the International Year of Statistics. Yes, that was a real one. It is referenced in many academic websites and books. Portugal also had a commemorative stamp for this even though it was not a UN year.
