Peer Review: Thelarche[edit]

What does the article do well: The article does a good job of prefacing what Thelarche is and then explaining the similarities and differeces of this and similar conditions that it may be mistaken for. The study included at the end of the article is also interesting from a heath science point of view because it begs the question what social determinants of health can result in premature thelarche.

What changes would you suggest overall: I would suggest expanding on thelarche "become[s] distinct due to variance in hormone levels" by expanding on what these hormones are. I would also expand on "The initial growth of breasts occurs during fetal development in both males and females" by saying which stage of fetal development de breast development first begin, how many months into pregnancy this occurs, etc. It would be nice to include more studies on the causes of premature Thelarche.

What is the most important thing the author could do to improve their contribution: This would be to expand on some the broader statements in the lead and also expand not only "what is thelarche" but also the "how does it occur" and "with what frequency."

Did you glean anything from your classmate's work that could be applicable to your own? If so, let him/her know: I think it would be beneficial for my own article if I were to include the difference between homicides and gun suicides so that readers know how to differentiate between pop phrases "homicide" "suicide"

I thought that the article did a great job giving an introduction into what thelarche was, and the comparisons between the diseases was really helpful because this is a relatively unknown condition. I also thought that the article was easy to read and had a nice flow.

I would suggest going into more detail and digging deeper into the condition. This page would be great for someone who just wants to know the basics of what thelarche is, but putting in more detail to make it a page that answers more about thelarche than what is up on the page right now.

I think that this condition is very interesting, and after reading this article I think that my page could use some more details as well and not just surface level information
