Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Comr Melody Idoghor (talk) 20:57, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Marking edits as minor[edit]

Information icon Hi Elena2341! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at General Data Protection Regulation that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. --Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:16, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I can now see that you've copied content from Draft:Risk-based approach in the GDPR which you authored. I'm unsure how this works with a draft, but normally there is a protocol described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Normally, annotation is needed in the edit summary (which you have not completed) and/or the Talk page. I've left notes at both the draft and the article Talk pages.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:47, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Rocknrollmancer: Hi, they were advised in the topic above to merge this draft into that already existing article. I think that is why they did that. Comr Melody Idoghor (talk) 22:20, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I did see that. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 22:31, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
