License tagging for Image:VDL Jonckheere SH at Busworld 2007.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VDL Jonckheere SH at Busworld 2007.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:08, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

I just created an article for a band that didn't have one (Dúo Dinámico), but I have seen that there is another band (Wisin & Yandel) that are often referred to by the same or a very similar name. How do I create a disambiguation page for these two bands? Thank You

To see when and how to create a disambiguation please look at Wikipedia:Disambiguation. Happy editing. --Thw1309 (talk) 12:58, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Generic (motorcycles)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Generic (motorcycles) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 16:38, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The article Alfonso Carvajal (writer) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Page moves[edit]

Hey. Please use {{db-move}} or request help from admin/WP:RM if you need to do an uncontroversial move and the move function is not an option (target page has a history). Cut-and-paste moves are not allowed. Thanks, Prolog (talk) 19:39, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I didn't know. I have done moves before but I hadn't encountered a case where the target page already existed. Won't happen again. El monty (talk) 09:46, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ford Taunus front seats[edit]

Your link from the Matra Bagheera entry to the Ford Taunus TC entry set me thinking. The Ford Taunus TC had a floor mounted gear change. As far as I remember they made quite a thing of it, because on earlier Ford Taunus models the floor mounted gear change and individual front seats had been restricted to the more expensive sporty versions for which customers could be persuaded to PAY MORE MONEY. Sitting three in the front row would have needed either for 2 of the 3 to have been fantastically thin or else for the fellow in the middle to have a gear lever stuck up his .... use your imagination.

To me it seems much more likely that, if they were driving in the early 1970s, they would have been driving a Ford Taunus P6 or a Ford Taunus P7. (Back then all German Fords were called Ford Taunus by the general public even though for the P7 the Taunus name had been removed by Ford from the Ford 17M, Ford 20M and Ford 26M back in 1967.)

Would you mind if I changed your link the the Ford P7? Any thoughts?

Regards Charles01 (talk) 13:52, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure you are right, I didn't know these details and just pointed to the TC because at first glance it seemed to fit the timeline but now you mention it it seems clear that it must have been a prior model. By all means go ahead and change it. I'm surprised you even asked my opinion, such politeness is unusual! To be honest now I have no idea if the link should point to the P6, the P7, or just the general Taunus article (were there wagon versions of the P3 or the P5? I don't even know). Regards.
