Not that I remember? Did I know you under another name, or what am I missing? I don't mean to be rude, it's just that I leave a lot of requests for informationi hanging around, and coupled with my horrible memory, it tends to leave me confused ;) Sherurcij (talk) (Terrorist Wikiproject) 21:58, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've got bad news for you, trolls have like, a 24-hour lifespan, I highly doubt anybody considers you an enemy, and I doubt anyone even remembers you. Welcome to the internet I'm afraid. Sherurcij (talk) (Terrorist Wikiproject) 02:01, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure that Bishonen remembers Fighter for Freedom.El Bender 02:02, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, maybe, you'd have to ask him. Anyways, generally my interest in speaking to Iraq veterans falls along the lines of asking for interesting stories or photographs they may have. I actually know a couple people serving over there (and one in Kuwait, as well), so it's an interesting discussion to have :) Sherurcij (talk) (Terrorist Wikiproject) 02:11, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Story[edit]

Well, it all began in 1999, when I signed up for boot camp. It took me two years to get through it and to be in the 101st Airborne Division. In 2003, we were called to land in Northern Iraq. As we flew over the target, the plane was hit by about 20 rounds of 20MM anti-aircraft fire, and the number 2 engine of the C-135 was on fire. The door opened, and we were told to,"Get the hell out as fast as we could." So we jumped out, on the way down we were merclessly shot at by AA fire. When we landed landed, my company was greeted by a battalion of Regular Iraqi soldiers with tank support. We fought our way to a large farmhouse and set up a defensive position there. We set up a field-hospital in the cellar. We could hear the tank motors approaching the farmhouse. We had four LAW 88s to defend ourselves. Fifteen tanks came out of the clearing. Luckly, we had a platoon out in foxholes dug recently. The tanks rolled over the foxholes. As they did, then one of the sappers would stick a C4 charge on the armorless bottom of the tank. When it was far enough away, they blew the tank. The entire battalion of Iraqi infantry followed, thinking the tanks had wiped out the opposition. as they walked about 10 meters within the foxholes, they were gunned down by M-16, M-249, and MP-5 fire. Before their retreat, they had lost 248 out of 351 troops. The six tanks that remained were blown up by our LAWs. All in all, my company lost eight out of 126 troops. Relief came in one hour. The rest of the battalion came to our aid. I was promoted from Command Seargent Major to 2nd Lieutenant. As we were burrying the dead, one was playing possom, jumped up, and shot me 5 times with his AK-47. I was sent to Wright Patt Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio Via a C-131. Now I am home at my apartment in St. Louis telling you my story. El Bender 15:54, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
