Your edit summary

This type of edit summary is certainly not welcomed at Wikipedia. --SMS Talk 14:09, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Certainly not, especially since you did, in fact, violate WP:3RR. Calling a fellow editor a troll and edit warring would usually be grounds for a block, especially since you've been both warned and blocked for similar things in the past. I'm not blocking you for now, just don't do it again, m'kay? henriktalk 14:44, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
His actions already indicate trolling and disruption to the project. Looking at other Metal Gear pages, this is not the first time that particular banned editor with almost the same IP tangled with me, especially when that guy's edit summary language is more or less, the same. A rangeblock of the 68.XXX.X.XXX IP is much better. --Eaglestorm (talk) 15:35, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
Blocking almost 17 million IP addresses to get one person seems a bit excessive, but let me know if he persists and I can semi-protect the article. Anyway, 1) it was User:Smsarmad you called a troll in the edit summary, and 2) the fact that someone else is misbehaving isn't an excuse. henriktalk 16:34, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
You can easily identify the errant IP sock by the language they use, and I was not referring to SMSarmad as the troll in that summary - it was that IP sock. Call that Fragments-of-Jade-sock-in-denial anything you may, but when people like him try to fix something that ain't broken and goes around telling people to f off I'm-not-this-and-that, not to mention going after the admins undoing their changes, you know he's not gonna contribute anything. Banned means banned, as Sjones23 said in a recent edit. That IP sock is one of many others I've encountered in my years of editing (including one I've relished putting on the SPI page), and quite frankly, most of them if not all are just big [censored due to NPA]. --Eaglestorm (talk) 17:09, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Philippine WikiCon

You are invited to the 3rd Philippine Wiki Conference (WikiCon) on May 26, 2012 9am-1pm at the co.lab.exchange in Pasig City. Please fill this form should you signify interest. --Exec8 (talk) 17:45, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

I appreciate the invitation, but I will not make myself a target for people who turn out to be editors I've butted heads in the past couple of years since Manila 5 - especially edit warriors who messed with me. Thanks anyway. --Eaglestorm (talk) 11:28, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

"The Magician's Code"

I put in an RFP because I didn't know when the page would be fully fleshed out. Now that the plot has been expanded, hopefully the page will stabilise. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 02:49, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Good Crazy edit war

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.

Please don't revert content without providing any valid reasons. "shorter doesnt matter" does not mean anything. The continuity reference is completely valid, taking it out to make a section one line smaller is not a valid reason to remove it. Looking through the page history, you've reverted similarly phrased comments over and over again. Please refrain from reverting, or I will have to call in an admin over the issue. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 03:50, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

If you check the edit history for the page, you will see that a persistent vandal with a myriad of IP addresses (and a few one-time-only-use registered names) has been re-adding this bit of info for the last two weeks. But the claim is original research. It cannot be added without a valid source to back it up. 99.192.75.44 (talk) 03:52, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I just referenced it, see my new edit. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 03:56, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Also, everything in the continuity section is technically OR then, since nothing there is referenced. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 03:57, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I am staying away from the page for awhile, but I am going to inform an admin about your behavior. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 04:04, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
You don't seem to understand what counts as a source. All of the other items are sourced by the episodes. All we know from this episode is that Marshal is smoking and that his child (of indeterminate gender) is about to be born. It is an assumption that (1) this is his son and (2) that he won't have another cigarette before the child is born, even if it is a son. That we see him smoking does not tell us that it is the last. The episode does not source the claim. 99.192.75.44 (talk) 04:05, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
If you watched today's season finale, you would know it is a boy, Marvin Wait-for-it Erickson. Nonetheless, I am still referring you to an admin. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 04:10, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Now all you need to do is explain how you know he did not have another cigarette between the one he had in ""Good Crazy" and when the boy was born. It is only an assumption that he didn't. 99.192.75.44 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:13, 15 May 2012 (UTC).
Hey Greyanomalywhatever, you don't seem to understand the thrust of those revisions...and blogging about it doesn't help. It's even bizarre why you had to bring it to my talk page when you could have brought it up at the article's discussion page. Now that I think of it, I will post everything there.--Eaglestorm (talk) 07:10, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

WP:FILMPLOT

Will do. On deadline at the moment, but I'd be glad to help bring things to guideline standards later today. --Tenebrae (talk) 17:28, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Note canvassing is not a good thing. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 14:40, 16 July 2012 (UTC).

Watch out...

You should better watch your language when commenting on other editors [1], or your report at ANI will become a boomerang. Just a friendly reminder. De728631 (talk) 09:48, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

Paysites as sources

Regarding this edit at How I Met Your Mother, paysites are quite acceptable as sources. Wikipedia:Verifiability#Access to sources addresses this, saying "The principle of verifiability implies nothing about ease of access to sources: some online sources may require payment, while some print sources may be available only in university libraries." Paying to access a website is no different to having to purchase a book. -- AussieLegend () 04:08, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

Isn't that the same as certain sites where the ref is only accessible if you are a member? --Eaglestorm (talk) 07:00, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Like the Hollywood Reporter, where access to archived articles requires subscription? WP:V doesn't excludes such sources. -- AussieLegend () 13:51, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

Requesting input on a few HIMYM edits.

Darrenhusted and I have recently been discussing a few edits to some HIMYM episode pages and seem unable to agree on a few of them. Since you do a lot of editing of HIMYM episode pages, I was hoping you might check out the edits in question and offer additional input. The two pages in question are Jenkins (How I Met Your Mother) and Doppelgangers (How I Met Your Mother). In the first case, there is one item in dispute and in the second one there are three separate items. Darrenhusted and I have been discussing these edits (and others that now seem settled) on his talk page here: User talk:Darrenhusted, so if you want to make a comment that might be the place to go. Thanks. 99.192.51.50 (talk) 00:19, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

Comments

Please refrain from making personal attacks like you did here. I know Niemti can be difficult to deal with, but comments like that are not helping either. If anything, you may end up being blocked. So, please stop. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 17:30, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

How about nailing HanzoHattori/Niemti's hide for good? It's just another case of deflection attacks- if anyone deserved those personal attack warnings, it's him. I'm simply addressing the way he bashes other people just to escape being banned - and repeated thumping of his chest about the work he has done doesn't impress me. It's pathetic and Joefromranddb's whiteknighting for him doesn't help. Oh, and why go after me all of a sudden, because my language probably struck a much more raw nerve than Sergecross73 et al have? Ditch the sarcasm, address the concerns, and make the effort to humble himself before the community. If he can't do that, leave.
I'd rather see that bastard smashed with the banhammer - the sooner, the better we'll get on with other editing work. If he doesn't want to, he ought to invoke RTV. A lesson in not unbanning unrepentant people for you. --Eaglestorm (talk) 19:06, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
I am no one's "white knight". The satire of my post was obviously lost. I wasn't actually calling for you to be blocked. Personally, I don't give a shit if you call someone a bastard or sugggest they check into an asylum. I was pointing out the irony. Unless you truly think that you should be exempt from NPA while others are banned, in which case you may wish to consider your own advice. Joefromrandb (talk) 05:40, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Spare me the explanation. I don't tolerate such nonsense even if you try to mask it as "satire." --Eaglestorm (talk) 09:58, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Spare me the bullshit. Joefromrandb (talk) 13:16, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Right back at you. Andthanks to people like you, the discussion has gone down to no consensus. Have a cookie! --Eaglestorm (talk) 04:32, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I get it now. I understand your concern. Cheers, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:42, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Stay History

Hello. Has the Stay History issue been fixed yet in the Pinoy Unlimited article? I need to add a similar table to the Indian version but the timeline is going gaga. -- I'm Titanium  chat 09:03, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Why approach me about some edits to Bigg Boss? Do you think I watch the show?--Eaglestorm (talk) 04:31, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
I'm talking about the Pinoy edition, einstien. It had a timeline for stay history. I saw your edits in the Pinoy Unlimited view history so approached you. -- I'm Titanium  chat 13:35, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
