Yeah if you're going north on 95, you're going east. If you're going north on 295, you're going west. I thought it was talking about going north on 95, now I understand it's talking about going north on 295. The Channel of Random (talk) 03:05, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

I-99

There are several other Interstate highways that are out of sequence on the grid for all or part of their route. One example is I-73 in North Carolina, which is located east of I-85. Also, many diagonal highways violate the grid pattern such as I-81, which travels west of I-77 for the southern portion of its route. Therefore it cannot be said I-99 is the only interstate to violate the numbering pattern. Dough4872 21:24, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Interstate 11 and Interstate 14 currently are violations written into law, and if constructed Interstate 3 would be. The "worst" violation is Interstate 238, though this is for historical reasons (i.e. lack of available x80 numbers at the time), not statute. Dave (talk) 16:31, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Potential for addition to US 46

Dough, I seen you nominated U.S. Route 46 to GA status. For doing some unrelated research, I stumbled across this gem of an article 1937 Fox vault fire, though I'd recommend reading Lost film for the context. Looking at a map of where this incident took place, it is what almost certainly appears to be along an old routing of US-46, just off of where the current routing forks. Can you confirm that? If so, think this event merits a mention in the history section of this article? Dave (talk) 16:31, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

I don't think that was an old alignment of US 46 or its predecessor Route 6 (US 46 was designated along Route 6 in 1936). This 1930 map of Bergen County shows Route 6 proposed along the current alignment of US 46. Regardless, I don't think this information would be too relevant to add to a road article as it doesn't directly involve the road. Dough4872 20:34, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

K-19 (Kansas highway)

A map and KML would be good to have in the article, as nearly all USRD GA's have them. I would recommend putting in a request at WP:USRD/MTF/R or reading the tutorial on making maps and KMLs. Dough4872 01:01, 6 August 2019 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. Mount Joy station photo

Hi there. I noticed you've added photos of trains and trains stations in the past from Southeast Pennsylvania. I wonder if you were interested in fulfilling a photo request of the Mount Joy station in the near future. The station was extensively remodeled recently and the current photo is out-of-date. I have been going around southeastern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware mainly taking pictures of roads along with some train station photos too. Recently, I've taken some trips out to Lancaster County to photograph roads. I can try to get out to Mount Joy on one of my future trips to Lancaster County to get an updated photo of the train station, though I do not have an exact date of when I can make it out there, it all depends on the weather and my schedule.
