So it just got deleted based on the copyright issue, which I was trying to fix. Let me see if I can get it back. OK, so the admin that deleted the page won't restore it. You have two options here. One, recreate it, being very careful about not pasting text from other websites, and making sure that it is properly sourced (and again, IMDb cannot be used for that purpose). Technically I did not recommend this and I was never here. Your second option is to file a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review and ask for the article to be undeleted. This is probably your best course of action, however it will take longer and there's a possibility that they won't go for it. Based on what I saw of the article, I think it meets both WP:GNG and WP:CREATIVE, however other editors might disagree with that, so there's always the possibility that it will get deleted anyway, although not so quickly. Sorry, but that's just how it is. Also, make sure you read through WP:COI to ensure you stick to the guidelines if you are creating this article on behalf of someone. Speedy deletion nomination of Michael Wolfe (filmmaker)[edit]

File permission problem with File:Michael Wolfe.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Michael Wolfe.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.imdb.com/media/rm360819456/nm2676698. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

I got this picture directly from Michael Wolfe, but he did post it before on his IMDb.com page. I'm not sure what to do, but if it's a problem, then I will delete it and replace it with one that hasn't yet been published by him. Please let me know!

Username is questionable[edit]

Dear Orangemike (talk · contribs). Thank you for contacting me about that. Widefox (talk · contribs) and RHaworth (talk · contribs) voiced that they have the same problem, and I will let them know, as well. I'm sorry for the confusion. I totally see that it might look like I am some kind of management, especially of actors/filmmakers. Truth is that me and my family funnily call myself "Dmys management" since my name is Darcy, and I "manage" my spouse and two kids 24/7 :-) I just googled that name, and there you see that there is no company called Dmys management out there. But looking back I realize that the name seems unfortunate. I can totally change it if that's allowed. I just don't want it to look like I'm trying to do something shady, especially since RHaworth (talk · contribs) seems to try to discredit everything I have done on Wikipedia, and he seems to be on a very confrontational course. So I don't want to look like I'm changing my name because I had something to hide... Thank you for your time in helping me! Dear RHaworth, I will do that as soon as I'll create it. I have no intention in doing any sockpuppetry. I know you are a person with good intention, but you should also take to heart the notion that not everybody on Wikipedia wants to commit fraud or copyright crimes, or has bad intentions. Please don't always jump to these conclusions right away. Some people come here to enjoy, learn, and spread happiness by knowledge. PS: If somebody openly brags on his personal website about how many articles on Wikipedia he has deleted, it should also raise some flags about Conflicts of Interests, albeit at least ethically and on a personal emotional hygiene level. Having said that, here is my new username: NmysM. You mentioned above that I "...must declare..." it here and on my old page, even though wiki/Wikipedia:Clean_start clearly states under Notification and permission: You are not required to notify anyone of your clean start.. Not sure what you mean with "do not edit someone else's message". I simply replied to your message, so I don't know what I possibly did wrong. I think we are misunderstanding each other, and I'm not sure how to resolve this miscommunication. And I don't want to confuse anybody. I retired Dmys Management and opened DmysM. This whole thing is just getting too unnerving for me. I came here to Wikipedia to learn, and have fun. I wanted it to be a hobby, a way to widen my horizon, and contribute to the world of knowledge. I didn't expect to encounter all this animosity and bitterness. You might be pleased to hear that you deterred another unworthy newbie to break into the holy brotherhood of Wikipedians you so proudly represent (according to your user page). Dear Widefox. Thank you for taking your time helping me with this whole thing in a professional and especially courteous matter. I'm sorry for the confusion of the name. You're right, it looks like I am some kind of management, especially of actors/filmmakers. Truth is that me and my family funnily call myself "Dmys management" since my name is Darcy, and I "manage" my spouse and two kids ("m" and "y" and "s") 24/7 :-) I just googled that name, and there you see that there is no company called Dmys management out there.
About the COI matter: Yes, I do know Michael Wolfe and Dominik Tiefenthaler. We move in the same extended circles, and I have met them each a few times. But I don't do this on their behalf, or because they give me money etc. A few months ago, I saw their movie "Maybe Tomorrow", and I believed that many people attached to this project, and especially these two, deserved appreciation and acknowledgement for what they have accomplished with this and their many other projects and their lives. They, just like numerous others, are known in the independent film circle, and I thought it was time for me to put people like that on Wikipedia. And since I've spent some time recuperating from a surgery, I found some time and started with those two.
About the IMDb.com references: Because I had met the two actors, I tried hard to stay in the guidelines, be neutral, and be cautious to reference all the information correctly. I read the article Wikipedia:Citing_IMDb and saw that my referencing of their credits might be on a disputable level, but definitely not on an "inappropriate" level. And looking at many other Wikipedia articles about actors and filmmakers on the same "level" as those two (Tiefenthaler and Wolfe), I saw that it was common use to reference imdb credits of released films for Wikipedia.
Please let me know what steps to take. Again, thank you for your time and help. I'm new here and want to learn. Some people attacked me right away and were really confrontational from the start, without hearing my side of it and giving me the benefit of doubt, like you have. And I really appreciate that. Thanks for the nice reply. It was good to get closure after searching for a non-existant company name! ;) OK, I'm still unsure if you consider that you have a COI or not, either way, I consider you have, and you would do well to read and follow the instructions at the COI. I'm afraid this Wikipedia:Citing_IMDb may be misleading - it is not policy, but an essay. I have adjusted it to make this more clear. As far as I can see, the best advice is WP:RS/IMDB (again not policy but a project page by the editors who edit films). More simply, UGC is not a WP:RS, and biographies ("BLP"s) require a higher standard than normal articles. You may still wish to consider changing your user name as it will likely raise red flags for every editor concerned about inappropriate use of Wikipedia articles for promotion. Something like DmysM will still allow you to have your personal joke without having to spend time after time after time explaining to other concerned editors.
