Koji Kondo Template Picture[edit]

Hello Dissident93, I would like to ask you why you reverted my edit on the Koji Kondo page? I am aware that the picture I have inserted is older, however it is better quality. Also, the cropped picture that you inserted is already further down on the page, the only difference being that it is an uncropped version of the photograph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Video Games Editor (talkcontribs) 18:14, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Apology to Dissident93 & others[edit]

Hey, Dissident93. Look. I stopped by and I wanted to apologize for all the trouble I never meant to cause. I never meant to be a pest when I kept editing the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe section to explain that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC has more than one issue. I only wanted to share additional info & issues that I felt Mario Kart fans should at least be aware of. Needless to say, I've made an apology message to let you know that I'm sorry, but also want to explain my reasons to why I added the information that I made. My apology reads, and I quote...

"Please forgive me, Sergecross73, Cyberlink420, & Dissident93. I am so very sorry. It was never my intention to engage in an edit war.
But at least please try to hear me out.
In my opinion, talking only about one issue about the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC is NOT enough.
In addition to people's gripes with the graphical differences of the tracks between the DLC & the Base game, other players & fans of the Mario Kart have raised other issues, like the DLC tracks' lack of Anti-Gravity Mechanics, & especially the DLC's lack of other content like characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, outfits / skins (aka the "characters alts from Tour"), power-ups, & so on.
Besides GameRant & Essentially Sports, the ONLY 2 internet sources who've touched about the latter topic in regards of lack of other contet such as characters, vehicles, & more, many people on Platforms such as Twitter & YouTube have either at least mentioned said issue, or even criticized the issue. Even big name YouTubers like GameXplain, NintendoLife, & Arlo have mentioned or even wished that said content would be implemented to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to go along with the tracks.
My reasons for adding the information I've been trying to add in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe section of the Mario Kart 8 Wikipedia page is because NOT everyone focuses on only one issue that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC has. You can't always say that the graphical differences is the ONLY issue that the DLC, you need to discuss OTHER issues, too.
And everytime I saw that information removed, I felt that you were censoring information that Mario Kart fans could at least be aware of.
As much as I want to share legitimate sources that discuss the DLC's issue of Lack of characters, vehicles, & other content, the PROBLEM is that other than GameRant & Essentially sports, big name news sources, as far as I know of, DON'T DO THAT.
The only people I know who discuss on or even at least mention such an issue are...
-GameRant
-Essentially Sports
-YouTubers, including big names like GameXplain, NintendoLife, & Arlo
-Twitter Users
At least consider that you can't always focus on only one issue that fans have with the DLC. You have to consider OTHER issues, too.
Besides, if YouTube Videos & Twitter Tweets are allowed as references so long as they're legitimate, like with the Green Eggs & Ham (TV Series) Wikipedia page having the Trailer on YouTube & the Announcement Date on a Netflix Twitter account as references, why not videos made by big names like GameXplain & NintendoLife?
But all things considered, if you really don't want to me to edit the Mario Kart 8 page anymore, then fine, I'll knock it off.
Just at least PLEASE consider the OTHER issues that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC has, and not only one issue it has. Okay?
Sincerely & with humblest apologies,
Trekker-J1"

So I hope you understand my reasons to why I wanted the information added to the section. But regardless, I do want to apologize to you, and want you to tell Sergecross73 & Cyberlink420 that I'm sorry. I only wanted to share information to help Mario Kart fans be aware of, & not cause any trouble at all.

And with Mario Kart's 30th Anniversary coming this August, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo added more characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, outfit / skins (characters alts from Tour), power-ups (maybe), & other content to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Besides, in my honest opinion, if tracks from Mario Kart Tour are coming over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, then surely, Nintendo should do the same with Tour's characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, outfit / skins (characters alts from Tour), power-ups (maybe), & other content.

Not to mention that one day, Mario Kart Tour will shut down, just like Dr. Mario World did, so it'd be wise to preserve Tour's content in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

But regardless, please... Forgive me for all the trouble that I never meant to cause. I am truly sorry.

Thank you very much, have a nice day, & stay healthy & safe.

Revert on George Karlaftis[edit]

Hello,

I wanted to ask about this revert on George Karlaftis. I understand from your edit summary, but I'm very conflicted now about a vast amount of NFL articles. If you look at players like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees you'll see that they all have accolades listed as "Second-team" instead of "second-team". Even the example at WP:NFLINFOBOX has second-team capitalized. I guess I'm just not sure what to do moving forward and whether I should be looking to make other infoboxes fall in line with the revert you made. Should I be switching highlights where I'm already making changes to lowercase, or do you think we should flip the capitalization back on Karlaftis? Hey man im josh (talk) 18:02, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

They are like that because WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS and I can't reasonably fix every single one (and even when I do, editors change them back over time). We don't capitalize them in prose because AFAIK they are not considered a proper adjective. However, I'd like to be corrected if I'm wrong. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:14, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Daxton Hill[edit]

I think you completely misunderstood what I was saying. I was saying the editor that added it saying in an edit summary that Daxton Hill said that was middle name doesn't count and that the editor should provide a source saying this instead of adding it without a source and making that claim in the edit summary.--Rockchalk717 03:23, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, I did misinterpret you as saying him saying something about himself couldn't be used as a source. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 10:11, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing that ABSOLUTELY no one has a cited source next to their middle name, I didn't find it necessary. My apologies. McDoub1e (talk) 23:21, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why'd you remove the source?? McDoub1e (talk) 22:31, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:CITELEAD, the same citation is already in the article. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 21:10, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Untitled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel" listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has identified a potential problem with the redirect Untitled ''The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild'' sequel and has thus listed it for discussion. This discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 June 27#Untitled ''The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild'' sequel until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Shinobi[edit]

Hello. Please do not revert template:Shinobi. Terraria[edit]

Hello, I understand that you wish to undo the entire plot section of the Terraria page. I think it is completely unnecessary to do so, especially for your reasons given (b/c it's not all in the game). The fact that it is not all directly in the game should not disregard it entirely. I also believe your personal lacking in the knowledge of the plot of the game (i.e. you said that you never knew it was a thing and you played the game for 10 years and that was why it should not exist as a section) should not dictate what a page should have or should not have. Please do not remove it again, it is unhelpful, and that section has been there for years without conflict until you decided that you thought it was unnecessary.

If you think otherwise even still, I think we should get a higher level administrator to resolve this disagreement.

Thank you.

WiiBoi (talk) 16:14, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This section was only added a couple weeks ago. It has not been there for "years without conflict". It was recently boldly added, and it was reverted with a stated reason. Move on the the "D" in WP:BRD, and use the article's talk page. P.s. I'm a "higher level administrator", though that doesn't matter for content disputes. -- ferret (talk) 16:31, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree with its inclusion because it all based on a single forum post made eight years after release that has no actual importance to understanding the game. The fact it took over three years for somebody to add it also shows how necessary people think it was. If it has to be mentioned, then keep it to a single paragraph and nothing more. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 17:56, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This has been resolved, I yield. I apologize for the disruption.
WiiBoi (talk) 17:58, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You weren't a disruption, it's just sometimes necessary to go through the BRD cycle to resolve a dispute. And like I said, I wouldn't oppose a single paragraph summarizing it, as games like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic 1 do such a thing. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:00, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration?[edit]

Hello there,

You seem to be pretty active at the article Elden Ring. If you are not busy, would you like to collaborate and bring the article to GA? CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 19:14, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have been lacking in free time lately, but it would be nice to see it promoted to GA before the awards and accolades start rolling in later this year (thus bringing in more pageviews). I'll help where and when I can. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 19:36, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Great! I will be working on Reception and Awards in my sandbox. For the time being, can you help out a little with copyediting? My writing is (admittedly) not the most organized, so some transitions in the Gameplay and Development section would be appreciated. CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 23:20, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am working on the lead right now in my sandbox, so some comments on that would be appreciated. Aside from that, is there anything else that you think I should do aside from copyediting and citation formatting? CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 21:06, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I made a few changes, including removing the list of games that inspired it (WP:EXAMPLECRUFT in the lead) as well as some general formatting and edits for brevity. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 09:15, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean "no consensus or guideline for this?" I was just changing some of the wording. CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 18:22, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind. I see what you mean. I just removed the producer because I recalled something similar coming up in this review. CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 18:28, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is there anything else that you think the article needs? CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 01:00, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Mostly just copyediting. The content is there and may even need to be culled some during the GA process. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 11:27, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Elden Ring Edits[edit]

On the article Elden Ring, the sources say that that game reached 13.4 million sales and 16.6 million sales by March 31 and July 30, respectively. This means that, if you are using the word "by (the month)", you are implying that they reached those sales figures before the month started. However, these figures would then be inaccurate as they were not reported until the end of the aforementioned months. Thus, saying "by the end of March" and "by August" is more accurate since the sales figures came out at the end of each month. ― TUNA × 17:51, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I get your point, but I don't see how August is relevant here beyond being the month the news was reported. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 17:55, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I realized I was saying August when I meant to say July, not sure why, but the correct wording would be "by July" for the 16.6 million figure since they were reported to be accurate at the end of June. ― TUNA × 17:58, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"By the end of" would be more in line with the sources but "by July" ends up reading better. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:08, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removing logos from navboxes[edit]

What's the impetus for removing logos from navboxes? All the one's that you've removed were uploaded to Commons and in the public domain in the U.S. I think they help catch the eye and help further visually identify what the infobox is about, in the cases of recognizable logos, and a little bit of visual flair never hurt anybody anyway. GFWL[edit]

What's wrong with having detailed list of GFWL achievements and Gamerscore? It existed for a decade and it was fine with everyone. What consensus? 37.57.229.164 (talk) 14:55, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's WP:GAMECRUFT. There was consensus years ago on WT:VG to remove similar type of columns from other lists, the fact it remained on that article was simply because it was overlooked. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 19:02, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RS being specified in roster templates[edit]

Hey Dissident, hope you're well.

I noticed you added "RS" next to a player on Template:Washington Commanders roster. I'm aware this is meant to be return specialist, but it was my understanding this wasn't meant to be specified in the roster box. It's currently called out on 3 out of the 32 roster templates (my reference is here).

I guess what I'm asking is, was this always the standard, or is this something new / different you're trying? Hey man im josh (talk) 00:09, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's been a thing for some years now, but I don't object if it's not meant to be specified. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 19:32, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

color scheme for qb stats[edit]

Hey there, I noticed you reverted the edits I made to Trey Lance, where I added the 49ers color scheme to his stat box. You reverted it because you deemed it "pure decorative and serves no other purpose". I also noticed there are other qb pages where they have their own team colors, but are not reverted (Josh Allen has the Bills color scheme, and that page has even been deemed as a "good article"). I'm not trying to come off as rude or anything, but if theres other qbs with their teams colors, why would you revert the trey lance edit? I'm not very familiar to the NFL page rules, so is there a rule that prevents "decorative" stuff to a article? HappyBoi3892 (talk) 21:28, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't watch every single player's page, so don't take the fact that some articles have consensus to include them. (WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS) While it may officially only apply to icons, the idea behind WP:DECORATIVE should apply here too. We already have the infobox and navboxes take team colors, we don't need their stats tables to take that up as well (especially when that stuff already borders on WP:NOTSTATS anyway). A more public discussion on WT:NFL could be made to see if others disagree with this approach. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 07:37, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not wrong[edit]

Greetings. Your revert of my edit to George Karlaftis about his brother's name was correct. I thought "John" was a trivial fact, seeing as I knew the person's Facebook page where he'd listed himself as "John." Take care. -The Gnome (talk) 13:24, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox question[edit]

Hey, there! How are you doing? I myself am hanging in there, with a severe anxiety disorder that's been set in for the past several weeks, so my prodigal recreation of the Dota franchise page is delayed even further -- sorry! So, hey, I was wondering, do you think that Eul should be mentioned as the creator of the Dota franchise in the infobox? I believe I had added that early on, but if I'm not mistaken, you may have removed it. What are your thoughts? BOTTO (TC) 17:06, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For the franchise page he definitely could be added. I think I removed him from the Dota 2 page because he had no involvement in that specific game. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 23:04, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Revert on Source[edit]

Hey, I noticed you reverted my edit on Source. I've noticed that having a main article hatnote is much more common than linking to it in the prose, but from a quick search I couldn't find anything in the MOS that says it has to be one way or another. You mind if I redo the edit? Fun Is Optional (talk) 13:07, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't edit war over it but don't see the benefit in it. If the MOS doesn't say one way or the other, then we should apply common sense and say the section isn't large enough that a link in prose could be missed, which is where you tend to see more of this. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 14:53, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'll leave it then. Thanks! Fun Is Optional (talk) 16:35, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Falcom list[edit]

Hey. Most of the changes you made I'm fine with, but I noticed you removed any "upcoming" designations as "non-standard" to just "Yes". I don't think think it's particularly non-standard to designate that a game is announced but not out yet on these list. I modeled the list after List of Square Enix video games, a WP:FA, for example. That list just uses "coming", which I thought was less than ideal in Falcom's instance, in the way they often hint games will be localized for months/years before they actually announce it, but if even prefer that over a flat "Yes".

Anyways, just thought I'd leave you a note here since I wasn't certain you had the list on your watch list. I'm open to suggestions, but I think we can do better than just a blanket "Yes" like that. Sergecross73 msg me 08:26, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Square Enix list is not actually on my watchlist so I was unaware such a thing already had precedence. However, I still disagree with the use of forced widths in the table without a valid reason and I'm pretty sure the MOS favors that too. I'd make the same change there but since it's a FA it might not be accepted without further discussion. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 20:39, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Understandable - I don't watch/maintain the Square list either, I just used it as a reference point for how these lists are done, as this is really the first list of this type I've ever created. As far as the column width stuff, that's fine, I'm fine with the rest of the changes you made. (I even meant to remove the "JP only" notes myself after eventually learning how complicated that started to get with their older releases, I just forgot to do it myself.) The removal of the "upcoming" status was the only thing I had objected to. Sergecross73 msg me 21:30, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Breath of the wild[edit]

Earlier I made an edit to the brethren of the widget page which and I still belive mine was correct so I came to discuss.

My point of the edit was that while hyrule was still physically around it no longer exists as a society and thr main point of the game is to destroy ganon and save zelda who can help rebuild the kingdom back to its former glory Husama.kgudvdid (talk) 22:03, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I understood the intention, but that specific wording has existed since the game's release nearly 6 years ago. Hyrule was never fully destroyed due to his banishing, so all he is doing in his return is finishing his original goal from 100 years ago. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 13:47, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Planet Zoo[edit]

Hey, Sorry you gotta deal with George and all. This page was edit-locked a while ago and he was IP-banned after writing what came across as a death threat to one of the mods. The short of it is, he's a severely troubled kid with WAY too much internet freedom (and irresponsible, genuinely spiteful parents to boot). IDK how he ended up skirting said IP-ban, man's got alts for days. Thank you for your time, and hope this isn't too much trouble for you. 117.194.113.101 (talk) 15:57, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

14 February 2023 - Professor Layton edit[edit]

Hi and thanks for editing! I see you tried to alter the title of the image on the Professor Layton and The New World of Steam page from "The" to "the". I added that image before realising the title is apparently "The New World of Steam", not "the New World of Steam", bizarrely. Therefore, the title is technically wrong on the image but that's the file name. I have reuploaded the image with the correct title now. ButterCashier (talk) 15:18, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. And just making sure you are aware, but images can be renamed. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 20:17, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ron Rivera[edit]

Hi Dissident93,

I was trying to put an 'en dash' for a score under Ron Rivera's Chicago Bears section (11-5). You may want to do it. My computer is so screwed up I can't even copy and paste the symbols.

It worked the other day, but if I keep going you'll have a rap sheet showing my contributions.

Stay well, John Bringingthewood (talk) 23:43, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. The explanation for the en dash in the Rivera history was directed towards the Village Pump, not you. :)

Re: Persona $350 million revenue figure[edit]

Hi! Yes the source is accurate and reliable. License Global (Brand_licensing#Global_brand_licensing_industry) gets the figure from companies themselves.(they mention this in their reports) Althought yes they require registration. Not often they report this stuff. They are mostly known for their yearly Top Licensing reports which are covered by other outlets like The Hollywood Reporter for example [1] and they have been doing for more than 20 years.

I post stuff from there on my Twitter.(among other stuff)

Here is the Persona thing [2]

Here is the older revenue figure [3] (I've posted this on Persona Series article talk page as a refidea)

The voice of reason ... you[edit]

Hello again,

I see you reverted an edit directed towards Chase Young from Wilsun89. Months back I saw some things that this man, woman or whatever edited... not good.

Just before I reverted Joey Porter's page I wanted to ask if I had a leg to stand on regarding some these changes. I swore this user was a bot in the past. Changing abbreviations etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

John Bringingthewood (talk) 19:57, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is this regarding the college statistics section? ~ Dissident93 (talk) 23:46, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Basically. Originally the abbreviations got me, but so many were done over the past year. This started almost a year ago when the highs in bold were removed after I added them. Funny, I swore it was a machine being that no animosity is sent back, lol. Bringingthewood (talk) 00:02, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I just don't see the purpose of having an entire subsection unless it requires one for readability reasons, such as on Bryce Young. Table captions should also always be present per WP:HEADERS, so I just reverted the edits on his page that did both of these things. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 13:47, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow I knew you would have a reason not to do something that's not necessary, but if not understandable to me it is understood by others. If you know what I mean. I see Porter looks much better. Also, I'll leave the .0 alone on career sacks from here on out. I've always gone the PFR route, but no reason to be an ass about things. No problems from my side any longer.

Btw, I do apologize for being a bit combative when I was an IP user and a new member. I'm trying to be more mild-mannered. Hope you forgot all that anyway, lol.

I'll leave you alone now. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for the link and all that you've done.

All the best, Bringingthewood (talk) 19:43, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Late response, but the .0 thing has always been silly to me. We lose no information by omitting it and you never see this sort of thing in non-football articles unless it has a valid, mathematical-based reason. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 14:11, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

HA, I checked in for the hell of it and found a message. Honestly, I always thought the .0 was there due to PFR being a big reference site. At the time I thought you might have been the only one who didn't want it around. There seems to be votes for just about everything and then they say 'be bold". I'll remove .0 when I see it .... then someone will come by and start yelling, lol. So be it. Respond if you want to, doesn't matter when. Have a good weekend. I reverted thinking it was the roster template. We don't need to add UDFAs in season articles unless they actually make the team and contribute; they are no more special than any other FA. As for the source, the team provided a list of rookies at minicamp to the media today. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 21:07, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Why did you create the redirect of Diamond Baseball Holdings to Silver Lake (investment firm)? The name isn't mentioned in that article, so the connection isn't obvious. (I found the redirect because of this unsourced edit, so I'm trying to figure out if this was a legitimate edit or not.) Thanks. BilCat (talk) 22:49, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like the IP was correct, though it wasn't sourced. I'm working on that now. Also, per Endeavor (company), they own Diamond Baseball Holdings. Has that changed recently? Thanks. BilCat (talk) 23:04, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Gender related issues[edit]

August 2023[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wildfrost. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop edit warring to remove optional templates. Just because something may be omitted does not mean that you can edit war to remove it. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:08, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Edits on the Mini Mario & Friends: Amiibo Challenge[edit]

Hello Dissident93,

I was wondering about the reversion and edit you made on the Mini Mario & Friends: Amiibo Challenge page. For the reversion, you linked the appropriate Manual of Style that does indeed says to ignore "unusual upper- or lower-casing" "When giving a stylization." However I was wondering if this means that other amiibo pages should be changed in that the mention of stylization regarding capitalization should be removed.

Additionally, I noticed you merging the release date for Australia with the release date for United States and Europe. You did mention it would be because of time zones, but I'm trying to figure out if there's a specific mention in the Manual of Style about this. Perhaps you would have an easier job finding it than I.

You edited my thing to be more accurate then that Icewelder person undid all of it. I was going to talk to them about it but saw they didn’t speak English fluently, however, you do, so could you explain to me, maybe why they did that if you know. Jesper Kyd wiki update[edit]

Thank you so much for your contributions to the Jesper Kyd Wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesper_Kyd).

Currently the Wikipedia page is missing details on Jesper's career between Darksiders 2 and Warhammer Darktide, so there is a 10 year gap, during which Jesper has seen some of his biggest achievements.

These include his return to Assassin's Creed Valhalla (2020) which became the most successful Assassin's Creed game ever (according to official statements by Ubisoft). Borderlands 3, the 2nd best selling title of 2019 (according to a statement by Gearbox) and the theatrical fantasy movie Tumbad (2018) for which Kyd was nominated in both major Indian Bollywood award shows for best music (a very rare feat for a Western composer). After a theatrical run, Tumbbad was released on Amazon Prime in the US, UK and India. A sequel has been announced to be in production.

Also missing is the fact that Ezio's family has become the universal theme of the Assassin's Creed series. Ezio's Family is the #8 most streamed video game track ever on Spotify (according to an article released by Spotify in 2022). Jesper is also the face of the Assassin's Creed Symphonic Adventures World Tour (he welcomes you if you go to the AC tour website) and was commissioned by Ubisoft to write the concert opening music. He produced a concert of his music for the Tenerife Film Music Festival in 2023 and his music was played in 30 symphonic concerts in 2023 alone (concert details are on his website). Finally, with 19 released soundtracks on vinyls and more on the way, he remains one of the most published composers in games.

We would love to include some of these facts to better reflect the statue and achievements of Jesper. We have noticed that other composers of his stature have more accurate Wikipedia pages and we would love to help out so we can get Jesper's page updated. He has a lot of exciting new projects in development.

So, we wanted to reach out to you, and see how to best approach an update. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated

PS: If you are not the right person to contact, we would greatly appreciate it if you have any suggestions or could point us in the right direction.

Warm regards,
