Thanks for the gastropod edits!

Hello Deefstes, I would like to give you a very hearty welcome to WIkipedia, and to thank you so much for all the gastropod edits you have already made, including creating a new (very nice!, very well done!) article for the nudibranch Phyllidiella zeylanica. The article you made also has an image that I think maybe you made yourself? I also wanted to explain that here on WIkipedia there is a very informal group of editors who like to work on improving Wikipedia's coverage of snails and slugs; that group is known as WikiProject Gastropods. In case you are interested (you might even be a professional malacologist for all I know!) I am giving you this invitation:

I've noticed your edits on pages relating to Gastropods; perhaps you'd be interested in joining WikiProject Gastropods? If you would like more information, please visit the project page or the project talk page.

Are you a scuba diver? We have a few members of the gastropods project who dive and take pictures of live sea slugs, and because of that we do have some nice images and some decent short articles on nudibranchs.

Thank you very much Invertzoo. I am very new to the world of Wikipedia editing and still not 100% sure of how things should be done. In fact, I'm not even sure that I'm responding to this message of yours in the appropriate way (it's not like there's a "reply" button or anything). But I'll learn.

I am not a malacologist by any stretch of the imagination, just a scuba diver with a keen interest in nudibranchs. I will try to make some more contributions and I do have some photographs which I might be able to contribute.

I will gladly join the WikiProject Gastropods group but I'm not sure I'm not sure how sustainable my inputs would be as, like I said, I'm nothing more than just an enthusiast with a camera and a gluttonous appetite for information :-)

Thanks for your friendly response, Deefstes. You are doing really great for someone who is this new to Wikipedia, seriously, I am very impressed! We will be extremely happy to have any new photos you would like to give away, and any new editing that you would like to do. If you want to join the gastropods project, feel free, don't feel that you have to keep up with any particular amount of input or anything. We have two or three other people who are scuba divers and nudibranch admirers: users Seascapeza and Antarctic-adventurer for example. And, as I said before, if I can help you in any way to understand anything you need to know about the amazing world of Wikipedia, please do let me know.
