Need Help
Just started with ESS. Trying out things in my sandbox. I used the shortcut buttons and I could provide a link...but i cant do the 'reference' It says...your reference cant be shown as you do not have a 'reflist' template. but i did use that template. still not working.
Tell me what I can do about it. Thanks.

I just reverted a big huge addition by User:Potpourr!^ ^. When leaving a message on xyr page, I saw some wikilove you left there, and it looks like you're a campus ambassador for a program that Potpourr!^ ^ is in. Since the problems with Potpourr!^ ^'s edits are very fundamental (basically, it was a massive addition of info based primarily off of a blog), you or the online ambassador might want to give some more direct follow up. I'm available to answer questions as needed, but since you already have the ambassador structure in place, it might seem more friendly and appropriate coming from you (rather than from the person who just basically undid his homework assignment). Article Review - Risk management in Indian Banks
Hey Debu!
I went through the article and it's really very well written.
I've a few suggestions to make it better:
- Although the topic or title is "Risk management in Indian banks", it's not really going along with the content. I mean the content is quite generic and there are two options here, either you change the title to "Risk management in Banks", etc or start putting more content related to Indian context.
- Put more facts/figures and examples like profit/loss made by banks due to risk management, cost of risk management etc.
- Add more diagrams etc.
- Add more references
Apart from the suggested changes, I liked the way you presented the formulas etc.
Keep the good work going!

Copyvio detection
- Look for the signs (these are only guidelines)
- Perfect English from a creator who is most probably not a native speaker.
- Check the editor's user page for country or locality in userboxes. If it's an IP user, check the 'Geolocate'
- Long blocks of text
- Text in grey boxes (paragraph indents imported with copy&paste from other web sources.
- No inline citations
- No Wikilinks
- References only to sources that cannot be verified online, books, textbooks,etc. Perhaps the people at WP:RX have a copy of the book.
- Article name does not match page content
- Sentences not in logical order (could be sentences from different sources)
- Paragraphs not in logical order (could be paragraphs from different sources)
- Images too large (click image to see copyright notice, WP:FUR, and creator)
- Images not made by creator
- Images too good to be true (check Commons for possible duplicates)
- Physical checks & process
- Copy a sentence and paste it into Google surrounded by quotation marks ("text here")
- If positive results (sometimes some words might be grey, but still check)
- Copy the URL from the Google entry and paste it into the Duplication detector
- Copy and paste the URL of the Wikipedia page into the Duplication detector
- Duplication detector will list text that is identical in the Wikipedia and in the web site
- If positive, tag the article with {{db-copyvio}} (Preferrrably use Twinkle
- Place the copyvio warning on the user's talk page (Twinkle does this automatically)
NOTE: Only use the {{db-copyvio}} template if all or most of the article is a copyvio. If not, remove the copied parts of the txt until the article is clean.

I just saw this article. It seems to me that this article is a complete assembly of phrases and sentences from multiple sources. Perhaps you could check out our policy on WP:COPYVIO. - all the complaints about IEP don't seem to be getting heard. I won't delete it just yet. - Hey Kudpung, I'm extremely sorry that I haven't been able to get in touch with you and help clean up the mess at all these couple of days, as you can see on the top of my talk page, I am currently on Wikibreak on account of my exams. I promise to become much more active once they get over. Thanks for contacting me with this article. I can offer you three suggestions:
- If you feel its better to try to improve this article than delete it, I can move it to the userspace of the user who created it, i.e. User:Saianurag and ask him to edit it further
- If you want, this article does fall under my subject purview, I can move it to my userspace and work on it
- If you feel, that there is no way to improve this article due to the amount of plagiarism involved and its best to delete this, then be my guest and delete it.
- I shall check out WP:COPYVIO in detail as soon as I can, I have to get back to my studies. I only came only as well, am kind of becoming a WP:Wikiholic and that WMF kinda sent out a mail to the Ambassadors to check out the current issues being talked about. Do tell me how I can help anyway you would like. And on a personal note, I'd love to meet you, you've taught me a lot about Wikipedia. - Ok, so, I've taken a copy of this article on a word document. I shall sit with the user and explain and show him how it is a copyvio by going through each sentence with him. There is no point in keeping this article on Wiki any longer, it might do irreparable damage. Do you want me to mark it for deletion or would you do the honours and do the needful. P.S.Can you just leave a small msg on the user's page?? Preferably, something that is not too aggressive like {{subst:Uw-copyright-new}}--~~~~ should do. I don't want the user to feel discouraged.

- Hi Debastein. Kudpung asked me to look at this article. It was basically OK. The phrases were pretty common and none of them long. I fixed it in the one or two places where it might have exceeded that. It was also a little disorganized so I fixed that too, wikified it, and formatted the citations. Vandalism now
Vandalism to various student list pages has now begun by IP users who geolocate to India. I suspect that thee are students who are not logging in.
Would CAs please keep these class list pages on their watchlists and provide us with a single generic IEP student list that we can import into our raw watchlists.
