Information icon Hello! I'm IceWelder. Your recent edit(s) to the page Housemarque appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. Addendum: vancouverdaily.com isn't even a real website. It is clear that your actions are intentional, please stop. IceWelder [] 13:23, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
1st of all I took that website right from this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/Housemarque/comments/18ab00h/housemarque_is_officially_expanding_to_vancouver/ 2nd of all please don't accuse me of vandalism I'm sure there's more sources to support my theory but whatever, if you don't want my help I ain't gonna give it to you, but don't claim my actions are intentional. 3rd of all since I seem to have no control or admin abilities, I am leaving the reseach up to you therefore if you find any other sources that support my theory I'd like you to put Housemarque Vancouver back on the page. I hope this will clarify some misconception and will help improving the wiki! DeMarq0 (talk) 13:47, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reddit is entirely user-generated. The text seen there was obviously written by ChatGPT and appears nowhere else on the Internet. You claimed that vancouverdaily.com has an article on the expansion, but vancouverdaily.com does not exist. You also claimed that the press release about Housemarque's relocation within Helsinki introduces a Vancouver office, but it does not, nor does it expend even one word to mention any location outside of Finland. Introducing factual errors with made-up sources is vandalism, plain and simple. Research does not require any sort of admin tools; based on all verifiable channels, Housemarque does not have a location in Vancouver. Warring over false claims using AI-generated text on Reddit does not, in fact, work towards improving the wiki. IceWelder [] 14:07, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I never in fact made those claims plus this ain't the only place where it claimed such on https://playstation-studios.fandom.com/wiki/Housemarque which has also been cited. I am not responsible for any of the lies I have been accused of and would like you to investigate. I am done with this and will move onto other articles since I cannot convince you this is real, regardless of wherever this is real or not please do not accuse of me of lying because I have managed to find suitable sources and if you don't believe that's your problem but do not acuse me of vandalising a certain page. I am just the messenger, and I know these sources sooner or later will come out to be true, therefore someone else will add them, but I am done. I am not an AI or anything else, I am a human and none of my content is AI-Generated, I do not control over the fact the sources are, thefore please do not put the blame on me making me look like the bad guy. I will try to consider using more suitable sources instead of User-Generated content and I have learnt from my mistakes on who and what to trust. DeMarq0 (talk) 14:31, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You may wish to read the reliable sources page; in short, all user-generated content, including Reddit and Fandom, is unreliable. This is a misconception that many new users have. IceWelder probably thought you were a vandal, as a large amount of new accounts are created to vandalize Wikipedia. Sungodtemple (talkcontribs) 14:40, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Trying to "cite" an obviously false claim with an obviously non-existent website (vancouverdaily.com, see this diff) is a vandalism trope as old as time itself. It is not a mistake by any means; no one creates sources from thin air by accident. IceWelder [] 14:54, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that's what I thought too! I guess I should take caution next time eh! DeMarq0 (talk) 15:11, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why the sudden block?![edit]

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

{{unblock|I am not a sockpuppet, never was, idk what is this ban, I'd like to be unblocked, this is abuse of priveleges and false claims, I would like a second chance since I have never used that account, tracking down my location won't help not to mention I live in a house with multiple people and one of them also uses Wikipedia! ~~~~}} DeMarq0 (talk) 02:23, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
