Canvassing[edit]

Your postings to other users' talk pages here and here appear to be against the canvassing guideline. Please do not contact editors in order to influence the outcome of a discussion. TFD (talk) 01:51, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Which part (of the 4 parts) of WP:CAN were they violating? You have accused me of "contact[ing] editors in order to influence the outcome of a discussion" without a wp:noticeboard is that not against the rules? Dairyfarmer777 (talk) 02:34, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Don't let anyone bother you here, including me.[edit]

I was glad to see someone trying their best at Talk:American Left without getting all sarcastic and bombastic like I did. On the other hand, I have no regrets for being sarcastic and bombastic and creating a maximum-drama situation where I felt it would serve the long-term goals of the reader. Have fun! Check out my user page for how I'm having fun. Flying Jazz (talk) 18:47, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to report it for NPOV but it wasn't even examined and archived without anything. TFD created the page and has a vested interest in keeping it with their POV. Being sarastic, etc., wouldn't help with outsiders understanding why its not NPOV in my opionion. The last time I checked I thought your edits were kept and were much better than the original. I think it was someone else now that I look again.Dairyfarmer777 (talk) 18:01, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you about some of what you wrote. The lead is a little more NPOV than it was when TFD controlled it, but it's not much better. TFD did a service to the reader by citing the 1990 preface to Encyclopedia of the American Left, but I think he was able to keep his POV by failing to also cite the 1998 preface. Who would want to pretend that American Left before the fall of the USSR represents how it is now and why would they do it? I did a further service by correcting his failed verification and citing both the 1990 and 1998 prefaces, heading toward NPOV. But removal of any citation of either preface of Encyclopedia of the American Left in the lead of an American Left article indicates that the person who removed them is now heading away from NPOV and will keep his POV in the lead. Who would want to remove all reference to the prefaces of the Encyclopedia of the American Left in the lead and why would they do that? Some additional comments that you might find helpful or interesting are at User_talk:EllenCT#Recent_activity_at_American_Left . I think my sarcasm may be helpful in the long run, but you're right about it not being helpful to outsiders which is part of why I imposed a 2 year editing ban on myself. I gotta be me. AGA City League[edit]

I made a new entry of AGA City League but I am not sure if it will be deleted by administrator. So please don't delete AGA City League contents in American Go Association. I will update game results when I am free. --Nonantum (talk) 15:29, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

So you kept my original description for the AGA City League. Is there anything that can be added to expand it? Dairyfarmer777 (talk) 18:06, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Buffalo Cannabis Movement, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Buffalo and Delaware Park. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:35, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:BuffCannMov2015.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BuffCannMov2015.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:06, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
