Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, D Namtar. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Closedmouth (talk) 17:24, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello Closedmouth, thank you for the warm welcome and the advice, best wishes.-- Namtar 19:24, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

Signature

Hi, Namtar. The rules for signatures state that images are not allowed (it eats up server resources), so could you please remove the dingir? You're welcome to find a unicode character that resembles it, or use a bit of css to add a few designs. Thanks, --Σ talkcontribs 00:23, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for pointing it out Σ. Before the creation of this account I read much of the Wikipedia guidelines, understandably however I did not read them all, as there is a vast amount of information, but I shall do my best to stick to the rules. It has now been amended. All the best . --D Namtar 00:31, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar

Hi D Namtar, many thanks for the barnstar, much appreciated. Claviere (talk) 07:14, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Hey Claviere, and thank you for being a good Wikipedian!

A belated welcome!

how do we upload photographs on a page? Jillani — Preceding unsigned comment added by AJillani (talkcontribs) 12:49, 27 August 2011

Hello Jillani, you can find a wide range of pictures here: [[1]] and can upload your own (please read the guidelines and requirements if you click Upload File to the left of the page). You can also find further information, more detailed than I will be able to give, here:

You can also test in the public Wikipedia:Sandbox, or you can create your own Sandbox by following the guide on the aforementioned page. Feel free to also use the Edit button on pages to look at how previous image files are uploaded and thumbnailed as an example (but make sure to not remove or vandalize the pages). Please also remember to sign your posts in future by either typing four tildes or using the signature & time stamp button at the top of the edit template (the blue pencil). I have proceeded in signing your message for you. Please do not sign comments when editing on articles however. You may also wish to ask for help at the Wikipedia:Help desk, please add your enquiry to the bottom of the page. --D Namtar 13:05, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Should a user be warned for...

{{help}} Should a user be warned for posting the personal details of another person in the sandbox? Although it is an experimental page, should the user still be warned for this?

I think so, yes, but the warning (or notice) would depend on the type of edits you're talking about. If not an attack, then gently.. "please don't post... because information save in Wikipedia, even in the sandbox, is not private and remains in the page history..."--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 03:16, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Al-Baqara 216 edit

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I've edited the language slightly on the Al-Baqara 216 to remove a WP:SYNTH type statement that wasn't directly supported in the citations. If you can find a reliable secondary source that makes that statement, then by all means please add it back in, ok? ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 03:07, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Hey ConcernedVancouverite. I will not undo your editing of the language used as you are correct in saying it seems more appropriate, however I will provide a source that discusses the issues of taking certain verses (of which 216 is mentioned in parenthesis) out of context and the talks of Islamophobia on the Internet. Thank you. --D Namtar 03:18, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Hofbräuhaus Traunstein

I just thought I'd let you know that I saw your article Hofbräuhaus Traunstein in the New Articles list-- The content seems pretty substantial.Amy Z (talk) 22:27, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

Hey Amyzx, my father for a great deal of his life was a brewer and we have a wide collection of world beers, although admittedly I do not drink myself due to my personal life choices. Regardless, I am happy that the article has been read and would be even happier for future Wikipedians to improve upon it. I hope you are well, and thank you for your comment. --D Namtar 23:17, 19 October 2011 (UTC)

The article Analicia Chaves has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Absolutely nothing notable. Being in a music video or a top 50 contestant is not notable. No reliable sources about her to be found.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
