February 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm NewEnglandYankee. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Mihrab, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. As a rule, the burden of proof is on you in cases like this. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 22:43, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your message on my Talk page: Your references weren't correctly formatted; a good resource for you is at Referencing for beginners. Furthermore, you removed existing referenced information. That makes it look as though you're trying to promote one interpretation (yours) over another (the existing one), which is very much frowned upon. Please use Talk:Mihrab to discuss your changes. I suggest, at minimum, that you add text rather than replacing text.
I don't mean to discourage you from adding to Wikipedia. It's just that we have a set of policies here that aims to minimize disruption, and your contributions are much more likely to be accepted if you follow them. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 23:00, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
