Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello D22, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing! -- Alf melmac 20:32, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talysarn[edit]

You're quite right. I was confusing him with Talhaiarn. He's still correctly disambiguated though, I think, as "Talysarn" is still an alternative way of referring to him. Maybe you could translate from the wicipedia article, which is quite detailed, and beyond my level of Welsh comprehension. Deb 22:04, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of people associated with Jesus College, Oxford[edit]

Many thanks for adding Gwyneth Glyn to that page. She makes an appearance in the Jesus College Records for 2002 (for getting a first) and 2006 (which gives her matriculation year as 1999, incidentally), so I've got a little something extra to go on - when I get a moment, I'll create a little stub for her so that she's not the only redlink on the page, actually, strike that as I've just noticed that there's something about her on cy:Wicipedia, so perhaps I should ask you to translate it for me! Would you mind? (I checked your contributions, saw you edit Welsh articles and wondered whether you had a cy account as well, then saw your recent contributions there too!) (Dwi'n siarad typyn bach o Gymraeg, ond dim lot, yn anffodus - mae gen i account cy:Wicipedia, ond dwi ddim yn ysgriffenu yna fel arfer). Diolch, and best wishes, BencherliteTalk 22:36, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent! Thanks once again. BencherliteTalk 10:31, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

St. Gerard's School[edit]

I just want to confirm that it is an independent school? Onshore

Thanx for that :-) Onshore —Preceding comment was added at 22:39, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The real Goronwy Owen[edit]

Nice work - another one on my "to do" list bites the dust without me having to lift a finger! Regards, BencherliteTalk 21:11, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

"But above all she is remembered as a poet," is POV. Apologies for forgetting to expand on the talkpage. ╟─TreasuryTagwithout portfolio─╢ 09:50, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Making value-y statements (peacock and weasel language) is not neutral. Why can't you just say, "...a harpist, poet and..." or whatever? ╟─TreasuryTagwithout portfolio─╢ 10:11, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for adding the image of Ruthin School to this article. It fits the description perfectly. Cheers. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 17:28, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

October 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to John Lasarus Williams may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Disambiguation link notification for January 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
