H&A[edit]

Why did Inside Soap often misname Sarah Thompson as Sarah Taylor? It is the only error I have every noticed but it was done in quite a few issues.Rain the 1 00:19, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for answering my question that time. I got more Inside Soap info for her - and it says Taylor again! Why were they convinced it was Taylor in earlier issues I will never know.Rain the 1 22:44, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I know. They always did it. Anyway, I noticed you are never on here much anymore. But there Aus soaps still have a way to go to becoming the most complete set their is. Judith is a lost cause, aye? And Roman, well he will have his own article - one day.Rain the 1 23:22, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I know, I said one day, like no pressure. I have started so many sandboxes and never got around to finishing. I think they were not bothered about her at Inside Soap either. I want to concentrate on expanding some older Neighbours characters atm.Rain the 1 23:30, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to let you know that I have nominated the family templates for deletion here. As the creator of the templates, you are invited to comment on the discussion. – JuneGloom Talk 01:28, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Frank Rogers (Brookside) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable character, no out-of-universe notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Lauren and Matt Turner[edit]

Could you please provide a reliable source for their marriage year?. Per WP:PROVEIT: "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material". At the moment, there is no way of knowing where this information came from. Thank you. - JuneGloom Talk 00:53, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for returning to add a source. Quick question; other than marrying Sarah, did Peter Hannay do anything else during his time in Erinsborough? - JuneGloom Talk 18:52, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Could you do me a huge favour? I need some help with the Others section in this list. I was trying to get it completed by Saturday, as I'm going away, but I'm not sure if I'll get it done. Could you help with the storylines for the characters I've got there now, and maybe add some missing characters? Don't worry about sources, I'll add them. - JuneGloom Talk 23:49, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

List[edit]

Cool, a new list. But Ken, go on - try and make an article. :)Rain the 1 22:53, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Eight edits I made to Home and Away pages[edit]

Hi Conquistador2k6,

Firstly, I just wanted to say, you only have to do a history check on any Home And Away-related page to see what an amazing contribution you've made over the years in providing masses of information about the greatest soap in the world. Without your efforts, the information provided on Wikipedia about Home And Away would be years behind where it is now. Thank you very much indeed - it is very much appreciated.

What I wanted to talk to you about is the eight edits I made to Home And Away-related pages on November 17. Apologies that this message is a bit long.

I changed Ailsa Stewart's last appearance from 13 February 2003 to 14 February 2003, Nick Smith's last appearance from 9 September 2003 to 12 September 2003, Michael Ross' last appearance from 29 April 1996 to 30 April 1996, Jude Lawson's last appearance from 12 September 2002 to 13 September 2002, Casey Mitchell's last appearance from 14 November 1997 to 21 November 1997, Jesse McGregor's first appearance from May 23 1996 to May 20 1996, Tom Nash's last appearance from 16 March 2001 to 16 May 2001 and Floss McPhee's last appearance from 3 April 2008 to 2 April 2008.

When I made these edits, I didn't reference them. I just assumed, erroneously, that it would look a bit strange if certain bits of information were referenced yet other bits of information (equally important) were not referenced.

Anyway, a user decided to revert all of my edits, a decision I completely understand as none of my edits were referenced. So after my edits were reverted, I decided to make the same edits but this time reference them, firstly using 'Back To The Bay' as my source, which I later changed to 'Internet Movie Database' for six of the characters (all except Nick Smith and Jude Lawson).

I used BTTB and IMDb as my sources, not because I thought they fitted the Wikipedia guidelines but because they would at the very least give my edits a greater degree of credibility. This would enable users to "assume good faith" in my edits (even if they decided to delete the reference information). This was true of a different user regarding the Tom Nash page, dismissing the sources in the comments section but was at least willing to assume good faith in my edits (only deleting the reference information).

Anyway, I refuse to give the user who reverted all eight of my edits on November 17 the time of day. It was fair enough that they reverted them, because they were not referenced, but they didn't even have the courtesy of leaving me a message on my talk page or even add an edit summary. After resubmitting my edits with the aforementioned references, the same user has since reverted five of these edits. Tom Nash, Nick Smith and Michael Ross remain the same but this is most likely by accident rather than by design.

So I thought that you would be the best person to discuss my edits with as you added the original information on six of them. If you could recheck the source that provided you with the original information to see whether it is correct, I would be extremely grateful. See edits below:

Ailsa Stewart https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ailsa_Stewart&diff=next&oldid=157252972 Nick Smith https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nick_Smith_(Home_and_Away)&diff=219272407&oldid=217639467 Michael Ross https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Home_and_Away_characters_(1990)&diff=477452464&oldid=477448628 Jude Lawson https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jude_Lawson&diff=prev&oldid=571987770 Casey Mitchell https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Casey_Mitchell_(Home_and_Away)&diff=231125165&oldid=230899682 Jesse McGregor https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jesse_McGregor&diff=218698871&oldid=218684055

Regarding Ailsa Stewart, you identified in your original edit that her last appearance was in episode 3345. Episode 3345 was shown on February 14, 2003 and not February 13, 2003. To clarify this further, as you'll be aware, episodes ending in '5' would (albeit the vast majority of the time) air on a Friday and February 13, 2003 was a Thursday.

The same applies with Nick Smith. You identified in your initial edit that his last appearance was episode 3595. This episode, again, would have been broadcast on a Friday and September 9, 2003 was a Tuesday. Episode 3595 was shown on September 12, 2003.

Regarding Michael Ross, his final episode was 1912 - see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-GLCr-KGY8 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4g6iEdQjCKg - which would have been shown on a Tuesday (as the episode ended in a '2'). April 29, 1996 was a Monday and therefore episode 1912 in which Michael made his last appearance was shown on April 30, 1996.

In terms of Jude Lawson, he made his final appearance on September 13, 2002. What may have caused confusion here is that there was no episode shown on September 11, 2002 (a Wednesday) and instead two episodes that week were shown on September 13, 2002 (a Friday). So whereas his last appearance in episode 3364 would normally have been shown on September 12, 2002 (a Thursday), it was in fact shown the following day.

In regards Casey Mitchell, she made her final appearance on November 21, 1997. What may have caused confusion here is on the episode shown on November 14, 1997, "Aaron throws a farewell party for Casey". However, "Casey leaves Summer Bay" in the episode shown on November 21, 1997. See: http://www.backtothebay.net/episodes/1997/2285.php and http://www.backtothebay.net/episodes/1997/2290.php for clarification.

I can't shed any light on Jesse McGregor, other than ask you to check with your original source that provided you with the information that his first appearance was on May 23, 1996. According to BTTB and IMDb, his first appearance was on May 20, 1996.

I know you weren't involved in the editing of the information regarding Tom Nash and Floss McPhee but I'll shed some light on those two characters too. Regarding Tom Nash, he did indeed depart the show on March 16, 2001. However, this was his first of two tenures as a guest character after leaving the show as a main cast member on May 16, 2000. His second tenure as a guest character ended on May 16, 2001.

In terms of Floss McPhee, she did not appear in the episode dated April 3, 2008. That particular episode is famous for being the last time Sally Fletcher appeared as a regular cast member - see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DDQ2TWH5R8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vNzL6hyBL8 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsjU4WCP5IA - and Floss McPhee does not feature in this episode.

She does, however, feature in the previous day's episode - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piNpXkAUkiE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbLF3u-oFU4 - dated April 2, 2008.

All the best,

Kennedy family[edit]

I don't suppose you relish the task of cleaning up the new Kennedy family page anymore then I do. It needs a ton of work and I just don't know whether to try and improve it or not. I hate to see so much potential wasted. Have you collected or seen any good sources about the family as a whole over the past few years? Something along the lines of "The Kennedy family in Neighbours are awesome" would be great about now lol. - JuneGloom07 Talk 17:08, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
