Philippine Revolution article edit

Please take a second look at this edit. I have edited the article further and added {{pageeno}} and {{fv}} tags to your cite. I looked in the book you cited, and I was unable to verify the figures you added to the article citing this source. I note that on pages 267-268, the book says, "At the time the first Philippine Republic was born, the Filipino army in Luzon had numbered about 50,000. Almost 20,000 of theem were armed with various kinds of rifle -- Mausers, Muratas, and Remingtons. The patriotic forces in the Visayas and Mindinao numbered about 20,000, and only 8,000 of them had rifles. ..." Also, speaking of a timeframe in early August 1898 (prior to the Battle of Manila (1898)), page 260 says that the Filipino troops besieging Manila numbered about 12,000. March Madness 2017

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:

• tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
• updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
• creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.

As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.

The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.

It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias. An initial discussion was has been done between the coordinators and members of WikiProject Military History on English Wikipedia. Now this discussion has been taken to Meta-Wiki. April 2018 Milhist Backlog Drive

G'day all, please be advised that throughout April 2018 the Military history Wikiproject is running its annual backlog elimination drive. This will focus on several key areas:

This is not the sole focus of the edit-a-thon, though, and there are aspects that hopefully will appeal to pretty much everyone.

If you read the article, you would notice that the lead paragraph you removed and added to the law and order section is repeating info already contained in that section. Note that WP:edit warring is prohibited even when it occurs over more than 24 hours. zzz (talk) 17:28, 10 September 2019 (UTC)

Section move justifiable

That is why I moved the added lead paragraph because it is supposed to be only a secondary data. Primary introductory data only includes basics, such as population, area, its economic status basis only (financial center, etc.), and the region it belonged. Secondary data includes geographical and topographical data, meteorological data, economic data including income and revenue, crime rates, infrastructure, the number of districts and its sister cities. These are not to be put into the introduction section. If we are going to list crime rates in the introduction in an article of some Philippine LGU, then the logic applies to every Philippine LGU which also have recorded crime rates. The same applies if we put income data in the introduction section. But then, it's only a secondary data. Also, leads are not needed as there is an existing table of Contents lying below directly the introduction section, which makes navigation of more secondary data, crime rates included, easier. choysakanto
