thanks for query. I don't have evidence that she meets WP:BIO, nor do I need it. WP:BIO is a guideline, which works only insofar as people on AfD care to refer to it — it has no relevance whatsoever to working with speedy deletions. Ms Dayton's article claims that she is a published author, with a couple of novels to her name, no less. Lists of NHL players
Hello! Actually, I created most of the lists of NHL players. When I first started creating the lists (almost a year ago now), i was asked the very question that you just asked. I feel that the player lists are needed for two very important reasons that the category list falls short on. 1. the player lists show all the players regardless of whether they have an article or not. If a player doesn't have an article, he definately won't show up on the category list. 2. having player lists helps disambig player articles for players who don't have articles yet and helps keep duplicate player articles from being created.
in a perfect wikipedia, every player would have an article and the player lists could be deleted. Also, if you are to look at all the players, you will notice that not all players have been added to the categories, yet almost all of the players have been added to the player lists. When i get some time, i plan to update the rest of the player lists. Over the season, I have been adding players as they are traded or join the team by other means, but I haven't quite finished all that yet. Masterhatch 00:04, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Fair Use Images
The image I posted of Morgan Pressel in Windows Media Player qualifies as fair use, as it is a screenshot of the software in question. Kiss albums
Actually, in the VHS video KISS EXTREME: CLOSE UP, both Paul and Gene state that the solo albums have the Kiss logo on them to represent unity since they were going through a tough time back then. Peter and Ace had threatened to quit the band, so in order to keep them in the band, Gene and Paul suggested they alld o solo albums, put the Kiss logo in the corner, and dedicate them all to each other. Cover art does not determine whether it is a solo album or not. The credits do. The members of Kiss did not work together in any way at all musically ont hese albums. The logo is more to say "Gene Simmons OF KISS" as opposed to a KISS album named "Gene Simmons." The band members have confirmed this time and time again. "The Best of Solo Albums," released in 1978 but discontinued, was released as a Kiss album, not the individual solo projects. Also, Gene mentions in A&E Biography that "Asshole" is is first SOLO album since 1978.

Hi there. I notice that you've lately nominated some articles for speedy deletion for being non-notable. Several of these were replaced with PRODs, while one was deleted but later restored (by me) because the article had recently had a consensus of keep on AfD and didn't meet the speedy criterion it was listed under. I'd like to politely remind you that non-notability is not a criterion for speedy deletion; only "no assertion of notability" is, and only for people and groups—the criteria are deliberately set high, because it's better to err on the side of keep for a process with no review. VandalProof 1.2 Now Available
After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. The members of the American United Party are quite angry that their aritcle has been deleted! For the last year, the party has worked very hard in the hopes to be accepted by the American public as an official party. The image (and a couple of others) had been used in a previous iteration of the Alizée article, but further edits by some editors (including myself) have changed the article to quite an extent such that the image is no more relevant to the current version of the article. Thats why it has been removed. It can be used by other editors for other uses but the current state of its original article doesn't warrant an inclusion. Hey -- I added a {{copyvio}} tag to this. In general, when you find a copyright violation, it's a good idea to remove the copyrighted content right away; this is what the copyvio tag is for. Personally, I'm not sure about using prod and copyvio at the same time since they're separate deletion processes, but my opinion is that such articles might as well be listed in both places, if the article would likely be deleted regardless of the copyright issue. Which rather misses the point that it was listed for deletion after only the first scentence had been written - there was never any real chance to get far enough into composing the article to include any assertion of notability even in the unlikley event this obscure criteria was lurking on the forefront of a writers mind. Looking at some of the other comments on this page, I think there might be reason to ease off on that trigger finger, save speedy delete for obvious badness, and for other articles you merely don't like the look of, perhaps start by an message to the author suggesting there is a problem then, if you still don't like things, refer to afD. USER:Winstonwolfe :-).

You removed a contribution I had made to the piece on Lavrenti Beria, a man whom Stalin himself called 'Our Himmler'.
The contribution pointed out that Beria was not simply responsible for the imprisonment, torture, execution and deportations 'of the last stages of the Terror of the 30s' as - I paraphrase - the article has it. As a long-time deputy of Yezhov, then head of the NKVD, Beria was deeply involved in these activities throughout the period of repression. I mentioned that Beria often surpervised torture personally.
Additionally, I mentioned that Beria was 'a serial rapist and sexual torturer of young women'. This is pertinent to the whole significance of Beria's role in the Stalin regime since it provides a motivation for his actions that go far beyond the political.

Hi Cholmes75. Please, in future, can you check to see if Wiktionary has an article before you add {{dicdef}} to an article. P-P was already transwikied to Wiktionary (not in the normal way, but in a more direct manner) as were quite a few articles currently in Category:Copy to Wiktionary. So having them re-catted creates extra work for us transwiki people (it is a thankless task btw). So in future, if you're going to propose for transwiki, can you check the history. Hi! Thanks for leting me know about the speedy del tag of the images Image:Abhijan 01.jpg and Image:Abhijan 02.jpg. It was way back in december 2005 I uploaded those two (I was in infancy stage in Wikipedia then!). Even nowadays I sometimes faulter while uploading stuffs! Hi, I am reading WP:DATE and I see the following section:
There is less agreement about links to years. Some editors believe that links to years are generally useful to establish context for the article. Others believe that links to years are rarely useful to the reader. Some advocate linking to a more specific article about that year, for example [[2006 in sports|2006]].
Examples of links which do not respond to readers' date preferences:
Note the absense of the phrase "generally should not be linked" next to the wikilinked year.
I am one of those editors who believe that links to years are generally useful, so I reverted your revert; however, more specific links to "X in sports" articles are probably more appropriate, so I changed the links to those. eae 17:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Copyright violation claim is Absolute RUBBISH
Wikipedia uses java script encoding and is not compatible apparently with my browser, as it does not permit me to do any editting or additional "coding" to add any copyright notices. Each time I have attempted to do so, a screen loads stating "This page is too large to view". I have posted permission to the article several times and emailed Wikipedia about this issue. Beyond that there is nothing more I can do.
I consider the copyright violation claim by Cholmes75 pure harrassment and libelous. I have notified Wikipedia about this issue three times by email already. If Cholmes75 had any questions about the content or the fact of permissions on re-transmissions and/or redistribution of this article, he should have notified ME first with the question either through Wikiedia or through my contacts on my website. In fact I see that Cholmes75 did follow the link to my Soundclick.com/markchadbourne site and made no attempt to reach me through my messageboard nor through email. Cholmes75 also makes use of copyrighted photographs on his own personal blog (re: Everwood). and has no such notices there claiming he has permission to do so that he is "requiring" of my article here.

What you've done with the article is great! I just came across the ship when I was researching a paper for the effect of black rats on Anacapa. I don't have any resources to share, except for about the eradication effort. As far as I know, it is not certain that black rats where the result of the shipwreck, or some other event between then and a later date.

Image tagging
Hey, just thought I would drop you a note and maybe save you some time. The images tagged with {{no source}} and {{no license}} are automatically added to date-based categories, like Category:Images with unknown copyright status. We can then go to that category, and remove images that are over 7 days old even if they aren't tagged with a speedy delete tag. Of course, it doesn't really matter if they are tagged speedy delete, but it might clog up the speedy delete system. (image deletions are a lot more in volume than speedy delete usually deals with). Anyway, I definitely don't want to scare you away from working with images because there is a lot of work to do! If you want to see some scary lists to work on check out Wikipedia:Untagged images or Category:Images with no copyright tag. It wasn't plagerism because I didn't steal it off of somebody else. Somebody changed the name and used special character in the surname. This is not correct. The singer Regine Velasquez never used any special characters in her name. And you can search looking at her albums and movies and by searching in Google.
I mentioned this in the edit summary.
I also wanted to ask you what information is needed for adding a screenshot pic. The title of the movie/show? The film company? I tried to read the information but I didn't understand it very well. Please let me know. What is difference of source, copyright and license? Thanks for your explanation!

A persistent vandal I've been keeping an eye on removed your no-source tag from this image. Rösselsprung
Hallo!
I just saw your query about the edit line I inserted in the Rösselsprung article about Evelyn Waugh. I haven't yet worked out how to make contributions properly but that was such a howler that it needed an annotation. It certainly wans't vandalism. I write for a living, have contributed to a lot of broadsheets and magazines around the world, covered the Balkans in the 1990s and am currently - not as a priority project, mind you - working on a book about the airborne unit that attacked Drvar on 25.5.1944 by parachute and glider. In fact, the book takes in SS-FJ-Btl 500 and 600. I met the former commander of the 500 and 600 and some of his men at a reception hosted by the Bundeswehr in 1989 after receiving the BW Parachutist Badge. I am a former British paratrooper. I have interviewed a number of veterans of this unit and of the raid, including former partisans.
So, no, it wasn't vandalism. In fact, I'd say that whoever suggested that Waugh was present at Drvar when the Germans attacked was having a laugh, rather than the other way around.
When I work out how to use this system, I might take the plunge and add a few things to that article.

KISS project
I just made an article for the single "I Love It Loud" a couple of days ago. I've been trying to add articles based on the songs and singles as currently only a small number exist.
I'll check out the main article and such and do any fixing up as I see neceissary. Oh yeah, and if your book gives any info about Eric Carr's drumming on the song "Odyessy" that'd be great if we could clear up that on the Elder page.

"Rock and Roll All Nite" article
Hey man, I just posted some suggestions in the discussion section of the "Rock and Roll All Nite" article. It isn't entirely accurate, as the studio version of the song didn't become a hit. It wasn't until the version from KISS's Alive! album that it became a hit. I feel the article should reflect that information. Maybe by documenting the history of the song at that point and posting pics of both versions of the single. Also, wasn't it released as a single for the Smashes, Thrashes & Hits album as well?
