Thanks for telling me, but this has nothing to do with me, and I wish not to get involved. Gareth would of only acted in good faith. --Chip123456 (talk) 15:21, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

I crossed out TB because I dislike them

Warning on your talk page. I suspect although am not convinced that this user is a sock of Nickerrs, I think that's the user name.c --Chip123456 (talk) 16:16, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Concerned

Noticed the padlock this evening for the first time. How long has that been there. Hope you have not been vandalised. -- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 19:05, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

It has been there since March, after vandalism on it. It was protected indefinitely. My TP was also protected as well, but that was only a temporary measure. It is good though that there are people watching over the page who simply rollback it. Thanks for your concern, it's just one of those things! --Chip123456 (talk) 19:27, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

You might get a kick out of this ... helps to prove that reading is FUN-damental ...

I heard about this item [1] today and thought it was just too funny for words. "I knew that there was a reason that I paid attention in geography class."

The stadium announcer was 'on the ball' ... -- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 16:20, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Haha! . --Chip123456 (talk) 19:53, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

hi, chip. i've just seen the massive history edit, not exactly very wiki-like, and your revert ("nonsense"). please be mild with the user who wrote the history text. i know him, he was raised in that town (and in Edmund, Wisconsin; similar revert) and is 87 years old now. i advised him to slowly approach wikipedia as an active contributor, and these were his first two large edits, and the third and fourth in total. i think he'll register soon, and once he's done it, pls welcome him. he's a wise man. thanks, Maximilian (talk) 08:55, 20 May 2012 (UTC) (germany)

Are you saying my revert wasn't wiki like or their contributions? Also if he is an active editor, why no account, it was an IP edit. I'll welcome the IP, but at the end of the day, it was unsourced and it was nonsense. Best, --Chip123456 (talk) 09:44, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
no, your revert was wiki-wise okay. how could you have known that it was the user's 3rd or 4th edit! you couldn't. it obviously was an over-kill what he inserted. may i point you to this related discussion? maybe you can lend a hand copy editing a bit for Cobb. Maximilian (talk) 12:39, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

In a situation like this - the best thing to do is to add {{db-author}} on behalf of the user. -Cntras (talk) 10:41, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Ok, thanks! I didn't know what to tag it as and I didn't want to get it wrong, so left it. But at least now I know for the future. --Chip123456 (talk) 10:49, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
It takes time to become familiar with the guidelines. I still get CSDs wrong perhaps due to my deletionist tendencies... -Cntras (talk) 10:54, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm sure (hope!) one day I'll be a CSD 'whizz'.--Chip123456 (talk) 10:56, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

SVU: Payback

What do you mean "contribute on the redirect"? I'm not in the mood for an edit war either!--SVU4671 (talk) 11:04, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

If you see, the page has been redirected to another article. Edit on the article that it has been redirected to. --Chip123456 (talk) 11:06, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
I can't do that, the article is on "Payback", the premiere episode, ONE episode, not the whole first season (which is where the page redirects)! It NEEDS to be on "Payback (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), like subsequent wikilinked episodes for example: "Zebras (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit)".--SVU4671 (talk) 11:09, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
The page must of been redirected for a reason, that's why I reverted your edit. Why don't you use the sandbox to get something fully referenced And up to a good standard, then create the article or discuss on the articles talk page. --Chip123456 (talk) 11:12, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
I know why it was redirected, all that was there was the episode summary and a few guest stars. No info that I have now (which is credibly sourced and from the series wiki, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - from production & casting sections) was previous edited for this article. I have a LOT more info on the page now than what was there prior. I think it's suitable to be taken OFF a redirect; and this episode can be cited as a notable episode simply because it is the pilot episode of the series. Also have partial ratings info from the SpotVault ratings site.--SVU4671 (talk) 11:20, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
If you think it's suitable to be taken off the redirect, discuss on the redirect talk age or talk page of the article, although the RD TP would probably th best place to do this.--Chip123456 (talk) 11:24, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Many thanks

Many thanks-RFD (talk) 15:54, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
I don't know at for, but thank you for the thank you! Best--Chip123456 (talk) 15:57, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Ah, I know now!--Chip123456 (talk) 15:59, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Nav Box

Hi Chip - done, added to your user page, this user talk page and your sandbox, if you ever want to edit the navbox, it's at User:Chip123456/Navbox. Hope this helps, The Helpful One 16:54, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Thank you! They look great. --Chip123456 (talk) 17:23, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Paladino

Oops, so I did - and looks like we both missed even more vandalism, which has since been rectified by a third user. Cheers, GiantSnowman 15:47, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

I thought it was odd when I was reading it, but I hesitated removing it just in case it meant something else, I know nothing about boxing! I can't believe that it was left on there that long, I'm surprised Cluebot wasn't on to it!--Chip123456 (talk) 15:53, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm surprised I missed it as well, I'm normally pretty up-to-date with pages on my watchlist. Oh well, no long-term harm I suppose. Cheers, GiantSnowman 16:00, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Indeed. Best,--Chip123456 (talk) 16:03, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello Chip, I was citing information from the following page: http://money.cnn.com/2006/02/03/news/companies/investorsguide_lampert/index.htm

The wikipedia article lacks a ton of substantial information. -Cypher056E

Right, ok, but make sure that when you add information you add the sources as well at the same time so it doesn't get reverted. I labelled them as good faith, so no need to worry. --Chip123456 (talk) 19:53, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Template:British Royal Family

Dear Chip123456! the name of Sarah is removed from the template of the British Royal Family and I don't know exactly why. If you want to discuss about it, come here. Keivan.fTalk 14:05, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

I don't know either. Me and Dr K thought it was a good idea!--Chip123456 (talk) 16:17, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
You put it back on there! I also, can't believe that the Wessex's children were removed!--Chip123456 (talk) 16:23, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Yes, their name must be in the template, particularly the children of Prince Edward. Keivan.fTalk 16:37, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Most definitely.--Chip123456 (talk) 16:40, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
