A tag has been placed on Portal of Evil, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. BoricuaeddieTalkContribsSpread the love! 02:58, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal attacks[edit]

Please cease the personal attacks on Wikipedia editors. Please make a coherent argument for the article's restoration. I note that I can find no connection at all between the user in question and the article's deletion - so your supposition is entirely wrong, anyway. If you find reliable sources which tend to support the article, and which mention the Web site in question, it would be most helpful. Thank you. FCYTravis 03:32, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? Did you bother read the links provided? Of course not!

Lee_M mentions himself that he has a statuefetish. That statuefetish page is the one listed in his poe account. You can check past posts, he gets mad because users keep bringing up his statuefetish - he retaliates.

REBUTTAL: All I did was to deny that I actually fuck statues. I get mad because POE keeps whining about Rule 1 violations and completely ignores Rule 8 violations. And I had NOTHING to do with the POE article's deletion. In fact I objected to it! Why? Because I consider that POE is notable, whatever my personal feelings about it. REBUTTAL: sorry lee, that was based on information from our forums, i find the whole wiki thing confusing... my bad, but let's be honest, you being involved gives this all better puchlines...
Nobody wants to be a joke. That's why site owners hate POE so much.

Can you explain to my why portalofevil.com was in wikipedia for so many years? Why sites like fatchicksinpartyhates.com and somethingawful.com remain? This is a joke. You are telling me you cannot look on the history for that page before the deletion and see why it was included so many years ago? Or that history no longer is history according to wikipedia because the only history that counts is that which does not bother its members and editors?

Personal attacks on other editors won't get you anywhere. Making logical arguments - such as, the site should have an article because it's a large, noted forum and comedy site - will. The article's been undeleted because I think it meets WP:WEB. As I said, the person you keep mentioning had absolutely nothing to do with the deletion of the article, so far as I can tell.
