I noticed you move this page Northboi to draftspace, that subject is clear about notability in the Nigerian music industry, he’s been involved in many event that established his notablity, working with Beyoncé was a very good coverage for him, you can review more about him so you can reconsider Deplug1 (talk) 20:09, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
@Deplug1, a couple of things, first is, you created that article, your tone comes across as a passerby who “notices” something and gives an “objective opinion” so let’s be clear about that, you created the article. Secondly if you look at WP:DRAFTIFY it gives multiple scenarios whereby an article could be moved back to the editors Draftspace. I would also support an enforcement of the block. Scott/Deplug, if you are willing to stop with the evasion of your block for, say 6 months, then maybe your block should be reconsidered but I don't think that your behaviour thus far has been that of someone who is actually willing to help with this project. I think I've followed the steps correctly, but I don't understand what item 5 in the process means. Step 5: Leave notice of the deletion review outside of and above the original deletion discussion..... Does this mean I should notify all the editors who participated in the AfD? @Curb Safe Charmer, sorry I’m just replying, I just got back from work and it’s 2:03am in Nigeria. So the sources used are in Hausa language, a language I paid good money to learn and speak. The first source is basically re-echoing what the singer said, which is he believes music to God shouldn’t be censored, that’s basically all it says in summary. The source, does call him famous/notable but fails to show how, needless to say WP:SIGCOV isn’t met so that’s a 0 towards establishing GNG. The second source is not even a source, The third source is an unreliable piece which has no byline and no reputation for fact checking. The fourth source, which is yet to develop a reputation for fact checking is negligible at best, but it however still calls him “famous”/“well known”. I think he is probably above WP:BARE but under WP:BASIC. I probably would just draftify the article or AFD it, both course of actions are very much plausible. The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 10 August. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 11 August. It will be on all wikis from 12 August (calendar).
The old CSS <div class="visualClear"></div> will not be supported after 12 August. Instead, templates and pages should use <div style="clear:both;"></div>. Please help to replace any existing uses on your wiki. There are global-search links available at T287962.

@Tondron24, I presume you are referring to this; Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/T. Ollyvar (musician). You can go there and !vote. See WP:AFDFORMAT and WP:AFDEQ. Furthermore per the very first edit made in this article, This edit to be precise, I assumed it was an autobiography and I praised you here for being honest about the fact that you created an autobiography but apparently per this entry I note that you make use of the words “that artist” so presumably you are saying you aren't one and the same as the article's subject. In any case the underlying problem remains the article's subject is yet to satisfy WP:GNG. Creating an article from scratch is often said to be the hardest thing to achieve by a new editor, whilst this is arguably correct it isn’t necessarily true. Please read WP:GNG and WP:RS and once you understand both like I said here you would have crossed a major hurdle, the rest can be handled for you by any editor here. Like I said, start slowly, practice in your sandbox, observe more, if you want, bookmark the WP:TEAHOUSE, watch entries and their responses, correct typos in articles and gradually you’d become more acquainted with our policies and guidelines. Lastly, please you have nothing to apologize for. I wish the article's subject good luck on their musical career but right now they are not eligible to be retained on mainspace. I’m here to answer more questions from you If you still seek more information. Addendum: You know about Wikipedia by studying our WP:PAG, avenues such as Quora or Reddit and whatnot aren’t a reliable source of information to learn how to edit or create articles. Also this isn’t necessary, as we are all equal here, you don’t need to beg anyone. I also note that you want the article moved to your draftspace instead, that is doable and I can always change my !vote from Delete to Draftify, but I honestly do not view that as a viable solution. I admit to close relation with the subject and probably have 'original informations' about the subject artist but I am not him.

You can have my vote to take it down too :) Every Community with its own rules and conditions and everyone should meet that if they want to use their service. I don't have a problem with wiki sticking to it's policies, I'm part of the system already. I'd rather prefer to do better and be bold later in the future to submit a "near to perfection" article but please revert it to draftspace if it will give any editor tough time writing his article later on. DREMO'S ARTICLE DELETION AND HOW I FOUND OUT: I'm 28 days here and 'this is my first account' . He's one of my musical fav, so I decided checking him out but unfortunately he doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.
This got me curious as to “why”. Cos every of his Associate acts all have one article or the other written about them and they've all been around for a long time, talmabout Notability, Dremo's notable.
I checked out Mayorkun (associate act: Dremo/Davido), all pages active. So I decide making more research as to why his page is missing cos something doesn't really seem to be sitting right. I came across sites like fandom etc (wiki like sites) and got one that says Dremo Article was deleted from Wikipedia which some more incomprehensible statements (I guess cos I'm new in the system, I hope I use accurate terms in due course)
WHY I ASKED YOU ABOUT THE ARTICLE.
1. Felt comfortable talking to you about anything.
2. Want to learn from the mistakes of past editors that might be helpful to me here.
3. Want to know if his article will ever be allowed on Wikipedia later/again
4. Asking in relation to T. Ollyvar (musician) article nominated for deletion. Like, does it mean once an article is deleted from the mainspace, even in the nearest future when the Subject gets notable enough for a standalone article. Does that mean they're forever banned? Taking 'Dremo' as a case study and no one else can start an article in that name afresh?
5. Asking for self educational purpose. I live by learning from people's mistakes and rights doings, mistakes are part of growth and it can be inevitable at some points in our lives plus I'm open to being criticised constructively.
6. If damages may happen, kindly revert T. Ollyvar (musician) to my draft space as other editors may someday write about him idk. It wouldn't be nice I started his article to make it difficult for him to have a Wikipedia article in the future from me/co-Editors
7. If peradventure after series of learning more and further practices within Wiki, I may want to consider rewriting his page. (Dremo) sooner or later. N.B: Liking anybody doesn't mean I'll be bias in speech, if we are close associates, we can do all that in our private space but this is an organization, things should be formal ('neutral' in wiki's CoC), so I can be given a chance to write it and to make mistakes. Don’t leave, I encourage you not to, having your first article created nominated for deletion can be quite discouraging. My first three articles here were all sent to AFD. All the articles survived though but nonetheless I appreciate your frustration. Understanding GNG is what is most imperative, and if you can provide us with three solid refs see WP:3REFS in the very minimum, the article can be recreated at a later time and if you find those sources and link them me to them I’d change much my vote accordingly. So rather than leave, you can always leave me a message on my TP when you are confused or if you have just created an article and are unsure of the notability status, you see, I’ve a near perfect ability at analyzing sources (especially Nigerian sources) due to the constructive criticism made to me by my sat-guru @Barkeep49 which propelled me to study over and over what is contained in WP:RS and in time I became near perfect at source analysis, especially Nigerian sources. so rather than leave the community due to constructive criticism you can learn from it. As I stated above. you are welcome to leave me a message here. Furthermore you yourself can study all policies and guidelines and in time you would be extremely competent. HELP I AM NOT OUTING ANYONE
I am only seeking help with some abusive editors. Nothing in my question in Teahouse outing anyone. The editor I am concerned with has already publicly disclosed his comments outside of wikipedia and I did not name anyone. I am seeking help and I thought Teahouse was for that purpose. Should I post it on my talk page instead? I was given advice to use WP ANI so I will do that ok? @Toddmeagher: From your post at the Teahouse (from where I was pinged by Celestina) I would agree that you have not outed anyone. I've come closer myself, in the past, to be honest! I'm not sure I can offer you much solace or advice beyond what has already been said. Namely, that if you have concerns about one or more users editing an article about you, then going to WP:ANI with examples (we call them DIFFS) of bad faith edits they've made would help. Because everything on Wikipedia should, ideally, be supported by a citation, if you want to challenge the accuracy or anything said on the page (or request removal of controversial information that is not supported by a Reliable Source, then the place to raise those concerns is on the article's talk page.
You have two ways to do this: You could simply make a normal edit there, stating what is wrong, and suggesting an exact form of words to put in its place - supported by a citation, of course. For pages like this one which doesn't have that many 'watchers' monitoring it, any request might go unnoticed. Whilst even the subject of an article is entitled to remove blatantly false and wholly unsupported controversial statements, the best way to get changes made is to make a formal 'edit request'. You still do this on the talk page but, if you follow the guidance at WP:EDITREQUEST, by using the 'edit request template' you will draw the attention of other editors quite quickly, who can then assess the merits of your request.
I also sense there are issue beyond this - some of them off-wiki, into which we cannot be drawn. You are aware of WP:NOLEGALTHREATS and possibly WP:HARASS. If someone is trying to get at you through bad edits, then we can address the bad faith edits and block a user for harassment. Equally, threats made on wiki against other users are also taken seriously. So, best advice is never act rashly; try to raise issues calmly (as you have done); do not attempt to make edits to articles about you directly; and steer clear of identifying other users, which you also appear to have avoided doing. As volunteers, we will all try to work to ensure that Wikipedia presents content in a neutral, encyclopaedic tone, and that anything controversial about a living person - or likely to be challenged as unsubstantiated - is either removed immediately, or cited to proper, independently-published sources, and never to blogs, Twitter or other forms of self-published content. @TheresNoTime, thanks once more for the kind words, you are correct, the extra buttons would indeed be imperative but someone has to do the very dirty work of tackling UPE, if I’m an admin I would be too conscious of this to do the hard work required. Although I have chosen of recent to as much as possible follow ADMINCOND, I have had issues in the past where I have been rather abrasive to suspected UPE editors (which has landed me at ANI twice) even though I was correct, I could have handled things in a more friendly manner. I intend to get to a point wherein I tackle UPE in a very calm and less confrontational manner befitting of a senior editor. I’m a work in progress(every editor is) and each day I learn new things. Celestina, Admins do only as much admin work as they want to do in whatever areas they want to work in. You don't have to think of it as something intimidating, or something which would require you to be responsible for all of WP. I find it helpful in dealing with UPE to be able to immediately delete the worst nonsense myself, and to check on previously deleted versions. Most admins who do this also use the ability to block--I generally don't, unless the person is really becoming a nuisance, because a upe will just comeback under another username. And I find it helpful to sometimes say, "As an administrator, I advise you that...."-- it doesn't mean all that much but it sometimes impresses people into behaving or at least going away. You do need to be careful to always speak softly, but it makes it easier to speak softly and still get results. The only other thing you would need to watch out for is other people asking you to do things; some admins discourage that, I encourage that, and it is true that people would probably find you a good person to ask also. But you're right about the tone of RfAs, though the last few have been better. Suggestion: think about it again in 6 months. DGG ( talk ) 21:39, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

On and off wiki this would be 5th time a sysop would ask me to RFA adding retired sysops and a regular editor, that would make it 7 times, I may never RFA(never say never) but if my philosophy changes and i choose to RFA, I’d notify you and the other 4 sysops and 2 regular editors who have asked me to RFA. I feel that applies to me on so many levels, the first being I would be too conscious of my admin status to do the dirty digging required in exposing UPE. I’m no longer young and I’m old enough to be mature and conduct myself as a senior editor should or (ought to) even when exposing UPE. In the last ANI that involved me Samwalton9 showed diffs I made in the past and honestly I was unimpressed with my choice of words and I couldn't even believe I made such acerbic comments, I realized last month that my mistakes were that I’ve been mirroring a female editor here(she accidentally created “Celestina007” that is, by virtue of just encountering her, she created who Celestina is today(and I’m eternally grateful to them) Subconsciously and subliminally I considered them a role model, I felt if a woman can be this productive, I can equally be productive also but I have come to realize that I’m not them and that my uniqueness as “C007” (a sobriquet) bestowed on me by Serial Number 54129 is more than enough. Oh dear...I'm sure you mean that as self-analytical, but it did come across very well, and seemed a little dismissive of women in general. There are of course many, many women here on Wikipedia who are extraordinarily productive and have immense knowledge - something that I can only ever aspire to, probably just like you. @Nick Moyes, Thanks for pointing that out, that didn’t come out the way I thought it would and I can see how many people would not relate to what I said. I was speaking from the perspective of a “woman” living in a third world country(but that’s no excuse) where we are taught to be “successful but not too successful” so in 2016 it was an epiphany for me to discover a platform where the playing field is balanced. Any other interpretation other than that is not what I intended and I take responsibility for that. I have my philosophical views on Adminship and do not see myself RFA in the foreseeable future, “When the student is ready, the master appears” is a quote anyone who has dabbled in occultism is familiar with, so until such a time I feel the extra buttons would be imperative, for now, I am very satisfied with just carrying out my anti UPE duties, new page reviewing and Teahouse hosting. Thank you again for pointing that out, many who saw that would have come to a wrong conclusion and rather than ask me to expatiate, would have have been prejudiced towards me. You can add language links in the sidebar in the new Vector skin again. You do this by connecting the page to a Wikidata item. The new Vector skin has moved the language links but the new language selector cannot add language links yet. [5]
Problems
There was a problem on wikis which use the Translate extension. Translations were not updated or were replaced with the English text. The problems have been fixed. [6][7][8]
Changes later this week
A revision tag will soon be added to edits that add links to disambiguation pages. This is because these links are usually added by accident. The tag will allow editors to easily find the broken links and fix them. If your wiki does not like this feature, it can be hidden. [9]

Also during this time, operations on the CentralAuth will not be possible (GlobalRenames, changing/confirming e-mail addresses, logging into new wikis, password changes).

I’m honestly short of words, at this juncture I’m not sure how the project would let him back in, im not even sure how the community can handle this one perhaps only asking for forgiveness is the only way I see him getting unblocked. In fact the indef is even more justified. I’m merely horribly wounded in the knee, the pain is much but that is incomparable to mental pain/stress I believe JPL is feeling. so it’s like I said, it is left for the community to forgive him, I wouldn’t have envisaged a day would come where I’d had to plead for an editor who is caught engaging in sock puppetry but that is where we are at now, IAR and forgiveness is the only way I see this ending. @El_C, I still remain dazzled, dazed and im currently quite distraught with this situation and frustrated that JPL engaged in sock puppetry. it’s a difficult situation to be honest. EC, your indef block is very much justified. Having said, JPL does indeed do good work with categories and has over 300k plus edits to substantiate the fact that he indeed does good work and has zeal. I believe he means well for the collaborative project. He clearly has devoted his time in serving this collaborative project, but I really do not know how this would turn out I already feel bad for any sysop handling the unblock appeal. At first, When I read HighInBC's, rationale for declining, I felt that was an extremely bizarre reason to decline but having meticulously read what had transpired, I now understand and fully appreciate why HIBC had to quickly “wash their hands” of that appeal. This current JPL situation is “ too hot to handle” in any case you did what was right and I can only hope the community is kind enough & allows him back. Seeing him beg passionately made me feel terribly sad. His TPA has been revoked and can only be restored after the expiration of seven days, I have emailed him and would continue to do so until he has regained his talk page access. I am so sorry you came back to this after such a terrible injury and I am sending my positive thoughts your direction for a swift recovery. I know and understand the unbelievably difficult situation this puts you in. JPL was very kind towards me once too and I have tried to repay that to him throughout our interactions. I know what he is experiencing and it has placed a significant burden on those who have dealt with him and consider him a friend. I am very concerned that every step, while I agree that they were warranted and the ones initiating them did so with the best of intentions, is only serving to further deepen the depressive state JPL finds himself in. I am genuinely concerned for his safety. Many still do not understand the complexities of autism or how it is manifested in each individual differently. It is the same for most other disorders when you take into account all the genetic and environmental factors. I know we have standards and we expect every editor to follow them. That's the most difficult part of this. We expect a one size fits all approach when that just doesn't comply with reality in the real world we all experience outside of Wikipedia. It's easy to say this should be a hobby and we all should be able to just walk away. I genuinely believe JPL has made Wikipedia his world to escape to and get away from the realities he faces every day with his disorder. I'm just not sure how he will respond to having that taken away so abruptly. That worries me. Some may look at your request and view it as something other than what it is, a plea for a friend. In all this, I take responsibility for my bad injured knee, I constantly played basket ball knowing fully well it could cripple me due to my medical condition. I shouldn't have stressed my knee. I have just been told that I may never play Basketball again. As for JPL I really feel bad for him, I have always defended him numerous times, Infact I always going to oppose an indefinite block but once I observed sock puppetry was in the mix, I honestly didn’t know what to do as that is a major violation. My absence did worry me as I know UPE would have grown exponentially since my admission at the hospital thankfully my friend DGG and my colleague Praxidicae are equal to the task. It will all work out in the end. I believe everything has been done that can be done. Sockpuppetry is a serious thing. It's why I have cautioned some about accusations of it when there was no clear evidence to support it. I, too, feel bad for JPL. I hope he knows he does have those here that support him even if we can't support violations of policy. That's really what it comes to. Personally, I won't support an indef block or ban but I did want to let him know that there are things he will most likely have to do and be held to if he returns. As always I tried to do this in kindness and with the upmost respect for him and also the community. I am so humbled by the fact you included me with some amazing editors that I have followed on the Teahouse for quite some time now. @ColinFine, thanks dear friend, I have a medical condition and playing basketball only made it worse(plus I’m not so young anymore) I was badly injured and almost crippled but I’m recovering and I’m thankful for the love you all have shown me. As for JPL, he holds a special place in my heart as he was one of the people to show me kindness, himself and Herostratus during my early days of editing Wikipedia. So OK C. and User:El_C, I don't know much about what's going on here, but so we have this person, JPL, who I don't know, but one one thing is, he's got a really long editing career, and you say he does good work and has zeal, and then I mean he says "Wikipedia is my whole life. It is the one thing in my life where I actual make useful contributions to the world." But then he's behaving badly right now I gather. But even so there's got to be some way forward that includes this guy continuing to be here, some way some how.
Firing people is tough, but sometimes it has to be done. But I mean, at the end of the day, fuck Wikipedia. You know? It's a website. It's a website. Sure its popular and useful, but it's not really that important and its not going to last forever. Probably not that long. Something's going to supersede it. And I mean we're not going to be more profitable if JPL isn't here. We're not going to get raises.

Herostratus, Celestina007, I was very concerned from the moment I saw the AN/I. We all know that no editor here has a perfect record and we all have experienced disagreements. My heart sank with the sockpuppets because that pushed it into a bad place. I forgive JPL completely for all of this and I hate what it became for both him and the community. Please let us know if he responds to your emails. I was very worried about him being banned from editing and then when he couldn't use the talk page as an outlet I became extremely concerned. I don't blame any action, sanction or otherwise taken but I do believe it has had the opposite affect from what it was intended to be. I am intimately acquainted with dark places and the affect feeling abandoned can have on a person.
